I received this ebook from the author for an honest review but I did purchase the audio book recently.
The narration for this story was *Chef’s Kiss* outstanding . The narrations nailed each of the characters and made Gray and Livvy real while I was plugging in listening to their story.
Have you ever read a blurb and thought “Damn, I need this book?” Well when I saw this blurb that is EXACTLY what I thought. It had a dark kinda vibe but a 2nd chance love story and my soul just needed it. I mean when you read Lies, Betrayal and Deceit in the blurb….hooked I tell ya just HOOKED!!!!
This book is about two very in love souls who have been torn apart. Gray is the cocky arrogant man who loves Livvy with his entire being. Livvy is the shy waitress who falls in crazy love with the rich guy. They get engaged and HEA time right? Well that is what should have happened but a dark secret forced Livvy to run away from her heart. She leaves and Gray is mess but so is she.
Five year later Livvy is away from her nightmare with the help of her friend Grant. She is making a life for herself but always looking over her shoulder when she bumps into Gray. The two connect eyes and BOOM Gray will not let her go. He finds her and peruses her, forcing her to just submit and agree to loving him all this time. Gray is mess of emotion. He needs to know why but Livvy shuts down. She fears telling him her shame will ruin what they might have in the future.
Friends, the twists in the book….AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH…just AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH….I mean I had tears and then I was mad and then I was jumping and freaking out going “OMG” and “STFU” plus a few random growls outta pure frustration from one woman who will not let Gray go….GIRL her a $5 go buy a dang clue already!!!
I am literally finishing the review and jumping into book 2. The build-up has my heart pitter pattering…I mean I love it when a player falls and the fact of who he is falling for…even better!!
