You’re the only one who can get under my skin.

Levi

Trapped in nightmares from my past, the only comfort I find is in gifts from the man who killed my mother’s killer—presents wrapped in a body bag and delivered to the morgue for me to examine.

From the first time I saw his mark, I knew I had to keep my Killer safe, had to keep his work a secret for me and me alone. Every body is a love letter, and I’m the only one who can read them.

Jonah

When I accidentally leave evidence behind during a kill, I have to go to the morgue to rectify my mistake. I didn’t expect to find a young mortician admiring my work.

Relishing in it. Studying it.

Covering it up.

I have no idea why someone would want to hide my crimes, but I’m determined to find out. What I discover is a man named Levi—a man obsessed with the idea of who he thinks I am.

A man who threatens to change my entire world.

Levi believes theres a killer in town leaving him little “gifts” and Levi is collecting all of them. Jonah learns about this when he goes in search of something he seems to have lost during his last kill. He finds a whole lot more than his lost thing that day. Life as Jonah knows it will never be the same.

Oh. My. Word! Jonah is kinda absolutely perfect. I know, I know hes a serial killer but that is just one part of who he is and shouldn’t cancel out all the things that make him perfect. His attentiveness and obvious instant, more than just attraction, to Levi were one of his many perfections. Jonah would question himself in his head about the things he was feeling towards Levi and it cracked me up. I would imagine it would freak out a psychopath if they started having feelings of happiness and dare I say love.

Lee McCormick has been writing since they were very young, and they’ve finally found the courage to offer up some of their favorite ideas to the world. Parent to two amazing kids and three pretty fantastic dogs, they have always been fascinated with dark romance and love that transcends time and reason.

When they aren’t busy working on their novels, you can usually find them browsing queer romance recommendations or playing a video game.
