Tell us your name and then a bit about yourself.
My name is Angie. If I were one of your kiddos’ teachers, I would be Mrs. J or Mrs. Angie. I have been blogging since 2012. I was one of the 4 main hosts when WOTR started in 2016. I am married with 2 kids, 3 dogs, and 1 crazy cat. We are a Disney family who goes as often as possible. My favorite genre is paranormal or MC romance.
What do you think makes WOTR so different from other events?
I think the fact that we keep the charity up front with the event, and we share so much about Thistle Farms with our attendees. We make sure they know who we are donating to and why. Us having Dorris attend to tell her story is another touch that shows a “face” of who we are helping. Dorris is a bright light in the world for sure.
Why should readers choose WOTR? What’s something readers should know about WOTR?
We are a family. We are very different from many other events. We want everyone to feel special and appreciated, whether you are a new author with 1 book or an author with 30 books. We also want readers who have attended every year to feel just as special as a brand new attending reader.
What is a special memory you have about WOTR?
My favorite memory …I have so many. I think my favorite was when a brand new author applied and was tickled to be accepted. As the years grew, so did her popularity. She swore it was due to coming to WOTR the first year.
