I received this book from the author for an honest review.

AHHH!!  Ok if you haven’t read anything by this author, you need too!  I am tellin’ ya.  Her characters crack me UP.  They are totally you and me.  They are flawed but perfect in their flaws.

This book I loved because we got to see character from her other books so it was awesome to catch up especially with the Zach and his lemon donut eating 8.5 month pregnant wife, Erica.  We also got to catch up with a few other characters from the other books as well.

This book is a quick but hilarious and sexy read about Addie and her hot knight in pie crust armor named Vaughn.  The banter between the two ….omg sooo funny.  They heat and chemistry was off the wall at times.  The back and forth, will they or wont they cross the “employee/employer” line had me going batty!!

The two have some issues with communication and reading the other wrong which can cause some trouble along with Mr. Hot Pie Crust trying to help when he should be butting out but all in all the couple climb a few mountains to be together.  It’s a super sweet read…but by sweet trust me when I say its super hawt and full of naughty fun!!  When you finish, this book be sure to grab the full-length novels from this author because you will LOVE them!!!!

I am enjoying this series and this book was about Luke and Jaz. We meet them in Must Love Loin’s Luke is Theo and Max best friend and Jaz is Theo’s little sister.

Luke and Jaz have flirted with each other for several years but both know that Jaz is off limits to Luke because she is Theo’s little sister and Luke is Theo’s best friend.  When Max’s dating app pairs them together they both decide its time to see here this will go.

Power Shift is back and trying to get to Max through his friends and now they have their sights on Jaz. Luke is having no part of it Jaz is his to protect and that is just what he will do.

Luke and Jaz have a great connection but will the Power Shift and her brother have something to say about it? I cannot wait to read the next one.

OMG, this year had so many good books!!! Since I forgot to do a top 5 in the middle of the year, here is my top 10 picks for the year.  I”ve got a little bit of everything from Anthologies to Mafia to BDSM to Paranormal to Contempary.  Some of my favorite authors make double appearances.  I’ve also got a few WOTR authors! When you bestie tells you to pick up a book and it’s free you don’t argue you hurry and one click it. This is about Max a Lion shifter who happens came up with a dating app to help both humans and shifters find their match.

Although Max has figured out a way to connect others with their perfect match does not mean everyone likes or is excited about this including his own family. They are causing all kinds of road blocks for Max. Alexis is supposed to meet with Max to write a blog article regarding the app with the intentions of discrediting it. The only problem with this is that once she meets Max there is such a pull to him that she cannot deny.

Alexis finds it hard to resist Max when he pushes her to give him a chance. The sparks fly and things heat up. However, them being together puts Alexis on the rogue shifter group radar that is trying to stop humans and shifters from being together. This brings out the alpha protectiveness in Max he will do anything to protect Alexis.

I enjoyed the chemistry between Max and Alexis. This had a great story line and was a quick read.

In this story we not only have the mages trying to kill off the alpha, we also have a group of lycan working with them to try and take over New York. Oh, and we have a delusional female that thinks Grant is in love with her.
Frankie has major high walls around her heart where men are concerned and I have to say if I was in her place I’d say forget men and switch sides!! Lol, but seriously it takes hard work on Grant’s part to get her to see that he has real feelings for her.
Babies being born, surprise trips to Italy, hot alpha sex, kidnappings, killer mages, this book has it all and I can’t wait for the next one!!

Twinsie Melinda year in review including my Top 5 from July to December 2016

This has been a fun year filled with signings. In April we flew to Houston for Books are Bigger in Texas and almost didn’t make it out of Chicago. In May we headed to Chicago for Wild &Windy , September we were in St. Louis for Penned Con and Indianapolis for Indi Unmasked, October we were able to attend Glass City in Toledo.  The best one of the year was the event we put on in July Writers on the River in East Peoria, IL.  With the great success we had in 2016 we are planning it again in July 2017.  You can get your tickets HERE.No automatic alt text available.

Omg!! So book 2 picks up where book one ends, Alynna and Alex’s wedding.
Cady Gray is the Alpha’s Human Liaison, sort of like his executive assistant. They’ve known each other since they were kids because her father held that position for his father.
Nick Vrost is the beta of New York and head of security. These two have danced around each other for years. Nick has kept his distance because the alpha thinks of her as a sister and Cady because she didn’t think that Nick was interested.
One thing I found out in this book; True Mates are not only a rare thing but apparently a very magical thing that all magic beings feel.
Anyone can be a True Mate to a lycan, it doesn’t have to be two lycan.
So many things happen in this book. Witches are introduced further, we find out who was behind the attempts on Alynna life, we met Nick’s grandfather who gives him a ultimatum to find a wife and have children or he is going to be out of the will.
Oh, and Cady and Nick start dream walking!!
I think the struggle that Nick has to go through, of whether he follows his heart or listens to his grandfather is a tough one. I am so glad that I would never have to go through that.
Cady mother returns and it isn’t a happy return as she is a witch and witches and lycan do not get along. She also has given a ultimatum, that Cady will leave the employ of them or it will be forced. Her mom, is not a good woman, in fact why don’t we just call her a power hungry b***h. She works with a evil blood mage who is out to get the True Mates, because he hates lycan and because of the magic that makes a True Mated pair.
I love Cady and Nick when they are together, they’re so sweet. The chemistry between them is off the charts too!! There is a scene in the hotel during the blood moon wowza, that was a hot one!!!
I will say In the end Cady is a better woman that me because I would have made Nick grovel for at least a week.
Wanna know why he need to grovel??? Well I’m not telling, ya gotta read the book.
The next book is Grant, the New York alpha. Will he find is True Mate? Will he put a end to the evil Mage after the True Mated pairs? I can’t wait to find out!!
