On a twisted path of love, loss and murder, Rainey leads Justin through the events of her life.

Death follows Rainey…
Justin fights to discover her secrets…

But will he discover the secret of THE FIVE in time to resist Rainey’s ultimate seduction?

Twinsie Jo’s Review

Anyone who knows me knows that I’m a HUGE fan of Lily White and her dark, delicious stories. No one writes like her. She is her own and her craft is top notch. Anyway, enough girl-crushing.

Everyone dies around Rainey. It says it in the blurb. But the what, where, when, why and how are to be determined. Well, in comes Justin. A psychologist who gets paid to figure out basically, what the heck is going on.

Rainey is beautiful. More so than your average woman. Tall. Curvy. She has men lusting after her by a mere look. But again, everyone dies she comes into contact with. Maybe not everyone exactly but enough people that it causes some questions.

Rainey begins to tell Justin her story. Her life. Her tragic tragic life. And I can’t…it takes a lot to make me cry, or get choked up while reading. But Lily…her writing is on a whole other level that most have mastered yet. I’m a writer and I haven’t even mastered that and I’m fine with it because like I said above, Lily is her own and she’s the Queen of dark. Did I tell you that I was a fan?

This book is raw, emotional, upsetting, gripping, page-turning and uncomfortable. Rainey unfortunately makes stupid choices. So so many bad decisions that I wanted to wrap her in my arms and give her a hug.

But enough of my gushing and rambling. I’ll leave you with one word:

Rowan.

#REVIEW – Her Master’s Courtesan by Lily White

I am a Master.

You must know this fact to understand my story.

I capture women.

I break them down.

And I rebuild them.

If they are lucky, they are sold into the professional hands of another Master. If they are less fortunate, they are buried beneath the ground, never to be thought of again.

I lust for the control, I demand absolute submission and my body yearns to warp the minds of those I train.

Power is the only thing I’ll ever need and I am addicted to the feeling of ultimate control.

I am wealthy, good-looking, educated and charming.

And I am – in no way – a good man.

I do not want love.

I do not want kindness.

She thought she could change me by giving me the two things I knew I never wanted.

She was wrong.

Twinsie Jo’s Review

So I decided to re-read this series to get ready for the new one that just came out and I forgot how much I love Aiden. Although, he’s the biggest douche known to man, he actually does have a sweet side. Kind of. Just don’t tell him I told you that.

Rebecca and Aiden meet at an art gallery when she stumbles upon an erotic photo. Aiden woos her and not too long later, she wakes up and has no idea where she is. Well it all goes down hill from there. Or up hill? Eventually up hill. If it’s your thing.

One thing I love about Lily’s books, especially this series, she’s a Master of mind f**kery. Just when you think you know Aiden, the tables turn.

Rebecca thinks she can over power him, manipulate him into falling for her but she’s wrong. So so very wrong.

Now when this book first came out years ago, it was banned everywhere. It’s not for some. It’s actually not even for most but I personally love it. Once you get through all the torture and abuse, it’s about a man who meets a woman who cracks some part of him. What that part is, we don’t know yet but it’s cracked. And I can’t wait to find out what else Lily has in store for us.

#REVIEW – The Director by Lily White

Twinsie Jo’s Review:

I feel like every time Lily writes a book, she writes them specifically for me. And every time she writes a book, she probably sits at her computer and wonders just how she can mess people up.

This book is probably the most brutal she’s written. Not for the mind f*ckery but for the graphic content itself. Girls are taken and used to please the dark twisted minds of people who get off on snuff films. Oh dear, right?

We meet Emma who has to make a choice. She makes a choice that surprises the director and ends up being used in a way that I don’t know how anyone could survive. Although this book has some graphic content, and by graphic, I do mean, sleep with your lights on and lock your doors at night, ladies, there is an underlying romance brewing.

Ethan. The Director. Holy crap. I thought Lily’s Master Aiden was bad. This guy is evil on a whole other level cause he doesn’t actually do the vile acts. He just directs. I don’t know what’s worse. He’s like Jigsaw of the porn industry.

Bonus: Lily threw me in as a girl who gets captured. And man, what a way to go. I have a phobia of the dentist and she used that to her advantage. I’ll never look at a dentist chair the same way ever again.

#REVIEW – Illusions of Evil by Lily White

It’s what he said to me across his altar, what he demanded so that I would be pure. In the moment he blessed me with his virtue, I was no longer the woman I’d once been. I was Eve. His light. His salvation. His bridge to Heaven’s gate. I failed him because my faith was not strong enough. He punished me for not giving in. Resisting temptation is never easy. Not when his hands, his teeth, his heat and hunger were the greatest of my sins.

Twinsie Jo’s Review

I think every time Lily writes a new story, she has every intention of ripping out my soul. It’s like she makes that her personal goal. This is a bit dramatic but once you read this story, you will probably feel the same way.

What can I say about the first book in this duet? It’s intense. Page turning. Gripping and jaw dropping.

Lily knows I’m in love with her boy Joseph from her book Joseph Fallen. I always thought she couldn’t top him with her bad guys but she does and she does it well. Elijah is something else. He’s the true epitome of evil and I can’t wait to read more about him and find out just how dark and twisted he truly is.

Jacob has some issues. He likes to think that he doesn’t but he really does. After an accident, he becomes a priest and thinks everything is all fine and hunky dory. Well, insert Elijah, and Jacob’s faith is tested. Will he fall?

Also, I like Eve. I really like her. I feel bad for her. She drove me nuts at times much like she did Jacob but it’s not her fault. You’ll have to read to find out why.

This is by far Lily’s best work to date and I can’t wait to read more. This story is nothing like I’ve ever read.

#REVIEW – Four Crows by Lily White

“You’ll have to forgive me, Darlin’, for all the unforgiveable things I’m about to do…”

Loyalty is never easy – especially when you’re forced to choose between family and the man you would do anything to possess…

Born into a world that no child should endure, Magpie “Maggie” Crow is doted on by her loving father and over protective brothers. As much as she loves them, she fears them, especially when she learns secrets they’ve kept hidden.

Elliot McLaughlin joined the U.S. Marine Corps right out of high school to provide for his wife and son. He’d never intended to become a father so young, but was willing to do what it took to give his family everything they needed.

After Elliot’s family goes missing, he returns from war to an empty home. Obsessed with discovering who took his family, he investigates their disappearance and plots his revenge.

Passion brings Maggie and Elliot together. Obsession pushes them apart. As a bitter battle begins between Elliot and the Crows, Maggie’s heart hangs in the balance.

Twinsie Jo’s Review:

I received an advanced copy of this book from the author for review and critique.

I’m a huge fan of Lily and her writing but this book blew me out of the water. It gave me all the feels and left me begging for more all throughout the book. I couldn’t read each page fast enough to find out what happened next. Although this book has a love story in it, the dark and twisted side of Lily’s writing is smack dab in the middle and it makes me love it even more.

Lily takes us on a wild ride filled with love, desperation and revenge.

Without giving too much away because honestly, you should just read this book and experience it for your self, I’ll say that Elliott and Maggie are two of my favourite characters out of Lily’s books. Elliott is broken, looking to seek revenge to those who wronged him. And Maggie? Poor poor Maggie. She’s caught in the middle of a very dangerous and twisted game.

I can’t say enough on how much I loved this story. I can’t wait for more from Lily.

I give this book a million dark delicious stars.
