When the local authorities ask Ruby Simpson to help them find a thief in the small town of Castle Cove, she doesn’t have much of a choice. She predicted the most recent theft, and the cops have no other leads. There are just two small problems. One, she’s not psychic.
Two, she’s not Ruby Simpson.
Okay, maybe they’re not small problems. But Charlotte needs a place to lay low with her younger sister, somewhere her parents won’t find her and the locals won’t ask too many questions. Getting involved with the cops, especially Deputy Jared, isn’t a smart thing for a reformed con artist to do. But Charlotte has to make a choice: raise her little sister on the right side of the law or put food on the table. What the real Ruby doesn’t see in her crystal ball won’t hurt her, right?

Twinsie Kelly’s Review
No faking that this is a great story!
I picked the audio book up when it was on special for free and wanted something light hearted while I was doing yardwork and what not. What I did not expect was to laugh out loud while I was mowing my lawn, giggling to myself while pulling weeds, or running to find put my earbuds in when I was doing other random things around the house that I wouldn’t normally listen to an audiobook while doing. I couldn’t stop listening. The narrator did a fantastic job portraying all of the characters and keeping me engaged. The author did an incredible job with the world and character building. I do wish that the author gave a little more information on Charlotte and Paige’s parents but perhaps we will get some of that in the next books. Charlotte and Paige were raised by con artists and are on the run from their con artist parents. Charlotte is trying to raise Paige right but while trying to do so, runs into a con that spirals a bit out of control. One tiny “reading” for a “customer” turns into a crazy rollercoaster showing Charlotte and Paige that some people actually care about others and not everyone is trying to con someone. One problem? How do they get out of the con?
I am highly invested in this story and cannot wait to continue! I highly recommend!

Mary Frame writes romantic comedies with quirky characters, steamy moments, and banter that will make you blush and snort-laugh at the same time. She’s a full time mom with a full time job and has no idea how she manages to write novels, but it probably helps that she’s a dedicated introvert. She doesn’t enjoy writing about herself in third person, but she does enjoy reading, writing, dancing, and damaging the ear drums of her co-workers when she randomly decides to sing to them.
She LOVES hearing from readers and will not only respond but likely begin stalking them while tossing out hearts and flowers and rainbows! If that doesn’t creep you out, e-mail her at: maryframeauthor at gmail DOT com
