Prolific Works

Review by Twinsie Kelly

I received this book from Prolific Works.

Love me some Jericho! And if I was in Eurydice’s shoes, I think I would have done the same thing!

“…fairy tales are for books in the public library, not for kids south of the train tracks.”

I have no clue how Eurydice’s mother and Jericho ended up together because momma is a hot mess…like gone off the rails of the crazy train mess. Well, Jericho wizened up and left (thank the gods) but he kept in touch with kids. He noticed an art talent that they had and tried to cultivate it. Well her brother followed in her mother’s footsteps but Eurydice keeps on keepin’ on and Jericho mentors her at his tattoo shop, and ultimately gives her a job. These two have been close and no one can come between them. But slowly things between them become “more than friends”. They both can feel this tension and have no idea how to handle it. But when that line is crossed…fireworks explode! This is a very well written story with the perfect amount of tension and angst all leading up to the grand finale of awesomeness. The only thing that I didn’t like about this is the fact that it ended! I so hope that this story continues…fingers crossed!

Prolific Works

Review by Twinsie Angie

I received this book from Prolific Works for free.

Oh this was a yummy age-gap, taboo, love story about a 24 year old girl who has loved her 37 year old mom’s ex-boyfriend/mentor for 7 years!!

Eurydice and Jericho are a sexy read with lots of chemistry.  I mean woof from the first few pages I was hooked and couldn’t put this DOWN!!

Eurydice has a horrible mother and a awful brother who take, take, take from her and she being the good human gives, give, gives.  But once night Jericho steps in to help the women he has grown the love and a line is crossed leaving them both wondering what is happening.

Eurydice and Jericho both are so scared to lose their best friend but also are so desperate for more from the other.

When they finally crash it is so freaking hawt….man…..yall!!!  SEXY time was fun to read but of course they there is a bit of drama before they can fully open up to what they want.

I loved this book and would love more to their story if it ever was expanded.

Sin and Ink (Sweetest Taboo, #1)

There’s sin, and then there’s literally going-straight-to-hell sin…

Being in lust with my dead brother’s wife pretty much guarantees that one day I’ll be the devil’s bitch. But Eden Gordon works with me, so it’s getting harder and harder to stay away. I promised my family—and him—I would, though.

My days as an MMA champion are behind me. But whenever I see her, with those wicked curves and soft mouth created for dirty deeds, it’s a knock-down fight to just maintain my distance. “Hard Knox” becomes more than just the name of my tattoo shop. However, surrendering to the forbidden might be worth losing everything…

I purchased this audio book and paperback book.

I was sooooo excited when I saw the cover and read the book blurb.  I mean MMA fighter who is in love with his brothers widow….sounds good and naughty to me.

When we start the story, we learn about how Knox is the black sheep of his family annnnd he is in crazy lust with Eden.  She is sweet and innocent but totally off limits and yet he is DRAWN to her.  Book sounds great right?  It totally started out great and then….I started to get annoyed always hearing about how they CANT be together.  I mean I was on chapter 9 and had hear many times they CAN’T BE TOGETHER.  I was like I get it…so stop touching each other!!! LOL  I mean the touching was HAWT but yeah….

Knox and Eden have a confusing relationship and it seemed at times there was drama for drama sake BUT at the end of the book I was happy.  I did enjoy the end of the story and the resolution both characters take with regard to their heart and the other person.

I am curious about book 2 and Jude.
