Not knowing whether his career was over or not, he turns to fellow bull rider and his good friend growing up, Lucas Jacks for support.
Lucas Jacks is an up and coming rider on the circuit. Watching his friend and fellow rider take a hard hit in the arena makes him feel the morality of the ride more than ever. Eight seconds of glory can be over in the snap of a bone.
When friends turn to lovers in the heat of the moment, will they be able to see past the testosterone laden sport of bull riding, to find some kind future together?
Review by Twinsie Angie
I received this book from the author for an honest review.
Rusty and Lucas are some tough cowboys. They both have desires and wants but have huge fears that stop them from finally fulfilling their much needed happiness……..
The bull riders grew up in the same town but kept their gay status a secret. They did what they had too in order to fit in during high school. On the riding circuit they both desire the other but because they are quiet with their real sexuality, they dreamed of being with the other. A chance night after a competition, they both come clean as to what they desire. Rusty and Lucas are so excited but then end up fighting so they part. Rusty is all about coming clean because he is tired of hiding. He sees Curt and Levi enjoying their open lifestyle and wants to have that for himself as well. Lucas will not come out. He is scared of what will happen. He is very happy with keeping this relationship quiet. Soooo this makes things unbalanced for the two.
As the couple spends more and more time together, they slowly grow and end up in a relationship? Rusty is scared to speak that words for fear of what it will do to Lucas. The couple deal with a demanding sponsor, jealousy over an ex, hate from their family and a few friends but the friendship bond that grew to love is really tested.
