I will say this is the 4th book in the series but I BELIEVE they are standalone books so I didn’t feel I missed out on anything. There is a BRIEF explanation of “The World” but nothing that I couldn’t understand. It was simplified for followers of the series and for newbies like me.
Ok so this book is about Ford and Enna. They have been in love for EVER but Ford is acting super sketchy. Enna follows him to catch him cheating to discover he is a werewolf annnd not a cheat. She is actually relieved and more then ok with this new furry status. Ford listens to his pack leader/Big brother and pushes his love away.
Enna is not going to be forgotten. She refuses to let Ford go. She after 2 years she has tracked him down only to be pushed away by Ford AGAIN and then attacked by a member of his pack. The pack member gives her the “bite of death” essentially which makes Ford cuts packs ties to save his woman….his MATE!!
The story FLIES and is so action packed. I mean I stared the book and then WOW I am at 47%. How did that happen?? Ford and Enna have to take a different approach to save Enna from this extra deadly bite. Enna had to make a blood sacrifice to live but that blood sacrifice is not one that she feels she can do!!
I love shifter books and I loved the storyline of Ebony and I hope that when I read future stories she will be in them as well as the new pack that Enna and Ford meet.
