After a catastrophic break-up that left her lost and heartbroken, Violet Cole offered herself, and her alter ego, the submissive Gia, to the powerful and charismatic Adam Stone, to save their relationship. Together they enter into a sexy explosive new world of dominance that Violet has only ever dreamed about in her most private moments.

At first, their new life together is nothing short of ecstatic and the two are enveloped in bliss, basking in erotic fantasy together. But tensions soon creep in, and despite their intense attraction to each other and boundary pushing sex life, their future together is thrown into jeopardy. What will Violet do this time?

I am so ready to see more of Violet and Adam. When we last left them they had just gotten through a huge fight and Violet had let Adam know of her secret inner submissive Gia.
Now we find them looking for a place together. Violet loves Adam dearly and she knows he cares for her but he has said that love and marriage are just not for him. Violet vows to herself that she loves him enough for both and he will learn to be more open and the love in time.
They have learned to embrace their inner kink when they bring it out which leads to some pretty heavy scenes. Adam does a wonderful job at being the Master that Gia needs.
As Master and Submissive Adam and Violet are great, as a couple in the real world they sometimes have trouble expressing themselves. Adam comes across as controlling at time when Violet just wants to show she can be her own person.
Violet comes off as a shrew when she has trouble dealing when Adam is just trying to care for her in the only way he knows how.
Let’s remember Violet has never had boyfriend before now or even sex before Adam, and she has had to work hard for her job and life before Adam.
Adam, while he has had lots of women he has never been in a serious relationship before Violet and he has always thrown money at those women because that’s all they saw him for and he has such a strong domineering personality and has to have that in business that he knows no other way.
These two make me wanna throw my Kindle or crawl into it and smack them both around while yelling “WAKE UP!!!” at them.
Patrick does a great job at making you see both points of view here and at feeling for both of them.
Omg! I almost forgot!! The mystery of the text messages are still not solved and she has never told Adam about them.
She also gets a few asking her why us he always away and if she knows what he is really doing while he is away.
The last one she gets is a game changer though and Patrick leaves us with another cliff hanger!!! Ahhh!!! The wait for book 3 will kill me!!
If a good story makes you wanna throw your device, crawl into it to smack characters around, or kill you when you are left with a cliff hanger then E.G. Patrick has a good one here with Violet and Adam.
