Serving a country full of flawed systems slowly eats away at a man. The domino effect of one person’s crime going unpunished burns deeply.

He’s no saint.

Gentry ‘Deacon’ Hawkins is an all-American hero. He went from the star athlete to the elite of the Navy SEALs. When a mission went bad, costing the innocent lives of his team and some civilians, he was forever changed. Riding with the Devil’s Due MC is the only peace he has found since getting out of the military.

She’s not afraid to call herself a sinner.

Tempest Adams spends her every waking moment serving others. She has given her life to provide a safe haven for women and children while they rebuild their lives. At the end of every day she finds both satisfaction in her life and loneliness.

However, danger lurks in her world, under her roof.

Will Deacon put his anger aside? Can Tempest swallow her pride and ask for help? When everything comes to a head, will Deacon be the hero Tempest needs to save her or will he be too late?

Love, hate, anger, and passion collide as the time comes, and the devil demands his due.
I received this book from the author for an honest review.

Oh sister wife!!  The things you do to me!!  The stories that you give me to read…..sigh….just yeah so amazing.

This series has improved me more and more as each book continues.  I most likely look forward to the next book in the series.  But we are not here to discuss Trapper and his hot mess…no ma’am.  We are here to discuss Deacon and Tempest. Holy crap these two!!!

Deacon feels he isn’t a good enough man for her.  He is a broken man who might have been great being the old “it” guy on the team and a former seal but now…he is nothing.

Tempest is always doing.  She is doing for everyone but not for herself.  She has had such a hard life and thinks she might be safe but son learns that not everyone is really your friend.  Seems a foe has slipped in past her and so now she will learn more life lessons!!

These two at times needed a good gut punch or throat punch because they both pushed the other away.  Deacon with his I am not good enough and Tempest with her dang pride….gurl just take a helping hand every now and again!!

I did enjoy the story and the story that went along with.  We get to see more build up for Trapper and see more of our favorites returning to the series.

I received a copy of this book for an honest review.

This series is becoming one of my favorites. These men tug at my heart the things they have had to overcome and Deacon is no different.  Then there are the women in their life and Tempest is a strong willed hold no bar woman.

Gentry Deacon Hawkins had everything going his way he was the star athlete, Navy SEAL, Hero but then one mission gone wrong and he went to a dark place. The only thing he had left was his brothers, bike and open road….well and a woman named Tempest Adams. He sees his brothers settle down and even though he doesn’t have a desire to settle down well that is until this woman starts to change things for him.

Tempest Adams made a life for herself. She takes care of everyone helps anyone she can. Her family means everything to her and she will protect it with her life. When her life starts to fall apart Deacon is the one that is there to help her pick the pieces up. When her past encroaches on her present she needs to turn to someone. She is closed off and has done everything on her own so it is hard for her to open up and let Deacon in.

I absolutely loved these two they have a connection that only grows throughout the book. The little surprises Chelsea has in store in this book was great.  To see Deacon interact with Tempest’s family had my heart skipping a beat. I’m telling the emotions were front and center in this one it hit me on so many different levels. I have a feeling Trappers is going to tear my heart out and I cannot wait for his story.

One of my favorite lines:

“I am one of a kind and so are you. It’s not about who you look like, who you act like, but rather who you are when no one’s watching.”

Ramblings from Beneath the Sheets“This is a really fabulous addition to the MC series from Chelsea.”

Spunky-n-Sassy “This read was beautiful. So much passion and fight for life. A total must read.”
