Fans of the Boston Terriers Series by Jacob Chance will devour Blitz by A.M. Williams, a light and humorous, enemies to lovers romance.

Blurb One sexy football player. One sassy small town librarian. Is there any hope for happily ever after? Charlie HEA? No way. Jasper Sutton is the reason I watched my dream go up in smoke. I don’t care that he’s ridiculously hot and the night we met was one of the best of my life. The fact that he’s also funny and easy to talk to means next to nothing. He tore all my hopes to shreds when he bought the old library to turn it into a gym. I can’t forgive him. Jasper Charlotte “Charlie” Drake is something else. And I don’t mean that as a compliment. She might be gorgeous and sexy, but she’s also headstrong and stubborn. I get it–I messed up. I didn’t have all the facts and took things too far. But I’m crazy about her. She’s the only woman who looked past my name and reputation to see the real me. I want to prove to her that I’m serious, I’m sorry, and we could be good together. What does it take to get over the ultimate fumble and still win the game?

“So,” I said after a few minutes of silence where we each sipped our coffee and ate what was in front of us, “are you vacationing near here?” Jasper tilted his head, and a smile curled the edges of his mouth. “You could say that. I’m staying with my dad.” I blinked at him. “And your dad is renting a house near here?” He laughed. Laughed! “Uh, no. He owns it.” I blinked at him again. “Oh. Did he move here recently?” Jasper tilted his head and I caught what looked like surprise widening his eyes slightly. “Do you know who I am?” I considered his question for a few moments, knowing that if he was asking me that then he was probably someone that was well known around here. But I was drawing a blank. Besides my friendship with Ruby and Vicky, I didn’t get out in town too much. I knew people, of course, because of going to events, working in the library, and being drug out to different festivals. But I wouldn’t consider anyone that I met in that way to be a friend. “You’re Jasper?” I finally said, not sure what else I should say. My tone was definitely questioning. He ave one sharp, quick laugh before shaking his head. “I’m Jasper Sutton.” I stared at him after his declaration. “I’m Charlie Drake.” If he was going to introduce himself like that, then I could too. His eyes narrowed. “No, I’m Jasper Sutton.” I wasn’t sure why he was putting emphasis on his name, but I was also realizing that his name did sound familiar. I just wasn’t sure why. “Okay…” I said slowly. “Nice to meet you.” Silence stretched between us before he asked, “You know, the name on the sign coming into town?” I studied him as I tried to recall the sign. I passed it every day, but I was to the point of not even noticing it anymore. But I remembered what he was referring to. The Welcome to Spring Hills sign also had a part that said Home of Jasper Sutton on it. My brow furrowed. “Were you named after someone famous?” He said nothing for a few moments before he started laughing. Hard. I shifted in my seat as he laughed, watching as he rubbed a hand over his face and hunched over the table. I wasn’t too sure why he was laughing; I just knew it was at me. I glanced around the cafe and saw that people were staring at him laughing and grew even more uncomfortable. Jasper slowly stopped laughing and shook his head, wheezing. “Are you for real?” “About what?” I asked, though I wasn’t too sure I wanted to know what he was asking. At this point, I wasn’t sure I wanted to be on this date or whatever it was for too much longer. “You really don’t know who I am?” I shook my head. He blinked at me before saying, “I’m Jasper Sutton. The name on the sign is mine. It was put there when I got drafted.” The drafted statement made me pause, but I couldn’t dwell on it too long because he kept talking. “You’ve been to the Tasty Freeze? Ever seen the Jasper on the menu? It’s the milkshake they named after me because it’s my favorite. What about the Burger Barn? The Jasper there is my favorite meal.” I stared at him. I probably shouldn’t have said what I said next, but my mind was short circuiting because all I could think of was the fact that he said he’d been drafted. Drafted for what? “I thought Jasper Sutton was some old guy that had died in a war sometime.”

#BookBlitz- Fragile Things by Samantha Lovelock

Grinning wickedly at my small victory, I graze my teeth along his sculpted jawline. His hands tightly squeeze my shoulders before one leaves its perch to trace lazily down my spine, and the other fists into the back of my long, glossy black hair. Pulling softly to force my chin up, it feels like he stares directly into my soul as he thoughtfully runs his tongue across his very kissable bottom lip. At that moment, I catch the slight glint of the stud piercing his tongue.
.
Good lord, I’m all in.
.
Feeling me strain lightly against the fist in my hair, he releases just enough for me to reach up and capture that bottom lip between my teeth before letting it slowly slide free.
.
The game is real now, and I just upped the ante.

Review by: Twinsie Melinda

I received a copy of this book from NetGalley

I have been enjoying Tijan’s books lately and when I saw this one I jumped at the chance to read it.  It is the first in a Trilogy. The suspense was so high in this one and don’t even get me started on the tension between Kash and Bailey. Really I was on the edge reading this turning pages as fast as my eyes and brain would let me.

Bailey Hayes was raised by a single mom. She grew up idolizing Tech Genius Peter Francis. Everything was going smooth for her and her mom until someone tried to kidnap her in the middle of the night and her world was turned upside down and inside out. Kashton Colello is assigned to guard her by her father the one the only Peter Francis. Bailey was now embedded in this new life away from her mother to protect her. Now living in Kash’s quarters on her dad’s estate she is getting to spend time with her half brothers and sister.  Bailey is a super smart with a photographic memory and now she is trying to figure everything out. Her life is like a puzzle that someone picked up put back in the box, shook it up and dumped the piece back out.  Now Bailey is trying to put her puzzle of life back together. She is trying to figure out how she fits into this family but it is hard when her dad will not communicate with her and Kash will not give her any information. Her brother is nice one minute then using her the next.

Kash is full of secrets and keeps them locked up like Fort Knox. No one gets in and nothing gets out.  He is there to protect the family and now Bailey. He caught Bailey’s eye from the first time she saw him. She could tell there was something about him the power just rolled off him and she liked it. Kash is a key player in this Family and I’m just waiting to hear the rest of this story. I have a feeling Kash does more for this family than they know or ever will know.

I still have so many questions about Kash and other things.  I do enjoy the chemistry that Kash and Bailey have. This was a great romantic thriller so many things that still need to be uncovered and puzzle pieces to add to this complex family and hidden secrets. This book had a unique plot that I am enjoying so far and I’m waiting to see how this plot thickens.  There are so many players in this story that I have no idea how it will go or who the evil doers will end up being.

A few of my favorites:

But there was one thing none of them knew, either. Not fully. Not Really. Not yet.

Me.

“No offense,” Kash snapped, “but her placement isn’t up to you, Peter, or anyone else. It’s up to me, me alone. And I say she stays here.”

Excerpt

We were heading out of Chicago, and maybe another half hour or so from the small town where my mom and I lived.

Wait. Second thought—where we used to live?

What would my mom do now? Could Chrissy Hayes remain in that house after I was just attacked, almost taken hostage? I called my mother by all kinds of names—Chrissy Hayes, Chrissy, or Mom. Or, well, a whole other kind of names too, because to say she’s a character is putting it mildly. And we have an interesting relationship to say the least.

I might be deflecting here.

Numb. I was numb. I should be pissing my pants, but instead I’m ruminating over how I refer to my mother.

Could I stay in that house after what just happened?

I’d been planning to spend time with Chrissy, helping with the house and working at the local computer store to make some extra money before I left for school. But now . . . fuck if I knew.

Myriad curses went through my mind as I realized Chrissy would have to move.

Shivers pierced me as I went over what had happened tonight, but then we were pulling into a driveway, next to a booth. A large gate barricaded us from moving forward.

Official police business, my tech ass.

Then again, nothing seemed official. I was told that I was being taken to my mother, but I left with two detectives. Bright and Wilson. They introduced themselves, then said she couldn’t see me in the hospital. They didn’t explain why, but I was to go with them to see her.

I went.

I was in the backseat of their unmarked car a few minutes later.

Bright’s window rolled down. She flashed her badge. “We’re expected.”

The attendant nodded, hitting a button. The gate opened, showing a campus of buildings behind it. Some made of dark red brick. Some seemingly made of reflective windows, top to bottom. Some painted totally black. A large parking lot sat in the middle of the buildings. “Phoenix Tech” was on a sign in front of the first building, but we went past, heading around it and toward a smaller building on the opposite end of the lot.

My tongue was glued to the back of my throat. We were at Phoenix Tech headquarters.

I had yearned to get an internship there every year since fifth grade, and then through college. I kept applying, but they kept denying. Some might say I was being desperate. I prefer determined. It’s a quality that I feel is honorable. Plus, I wasn’t above hoping they’d take pity on me one day. It worked, because while I might not have been good enough to walk their hallways, I was good enough for them to give me charity. They awarded me the majority of my grants for undergrad, so I’d been able to go to college debt free. I’d been expecting that to change for graduate school, but it hadn’t. Or, well, it kind of had.

I was hired as a graduate assistant, starting in the fall, which gave me a stipend, but the rest was covered by another scholarship from Phoenix Tech.

Phoenix Tech was one of the world’s leading companies on cyber security. I was going into information systems, which was close enough. A job here would be a dream.

“My mom is here?” I asked, when Bright parked, and both her and Wilson got out of the vehicle.

Neither answered.

Bright opened my back door and motioned for me, slipping her sunglasses over her eyes. “It’s time for you to find out some answers.”

#BookBlitz – Paper Hearts by Brittany Taylor

An all new enemies-to-lovers/ second chance romance!
🖤
Now available –> mybook.to/PaperHeartsBT
Blurb:
Asher Owens.
Gorgeous. Arrogant. Liar.
It’s been ten years since Asher left me with nothing but the remains of our shattered dreams.
The last place I expected to see him was at a small bar in a city of over eight million.
With my heart set on expanding my business, I needed one of New York City’s best real estate executives. Little did I know it would be the same man who had torn my heart like a piece of paper before setting it on fire.
Once my gaze lands on his, I know Asher is no longer the boy I loved when I was eighteen. No, this Asher treated me like a stranger. All for the sake of not wanting to sift through the ashes of our past.
Yet Asher’s arrogance rivaled any sort of rejection, even mine. Using his own selfish ambition, he needed me to claw his way to the top.
Despite his true motives, I had foolishly let him back in.
I’d fallen in love with Asher Owens once before and this time I would try my best not to make the same mistake twice.

#NewRelease #Paranormal #Witches #DoubleReview – Moonlit Sight, Elements and Ancestors Series book 1 by Britni Hill

Cover Reveal: April 20th

Title: Moonlit Sight (Book 1 in the Elements & Ancestors series)

Author: Britni Hill

Release date: 5/4/2021

Price: 2.99

What’s a girl to do when she loses her job, her best friend goes missing, and she starts to see, hear and feel things that aren’t there?

Moonlight Grove is a small, peaceful town full of familiar faces. It’s perfect. Until my best friend, Lucy Warren, goes missing.

Enter Simon Caldwell.

The man is attractive. A bit mysterious, and a new face in my sleepy little town. He’s a paranormal investigator who’s come to Moonlight Grove looking into reports of the supernatural kind. It all sounds like good TV to me. When I begin experiencing things I can’t explain, he may be the only one who can help.

Maybe there’s more to Lucy than meets the eye. What if her disappearance is linked to all the crazy things happening?

With Simon’s help, I’m determined to find her and to ignore the way he makes me feel while I do it.

Review by Twinsie Angie

I received this book from the author for a honest review.

When Britni said she was writing a paranormal, I was stoked. Paranormal is my JAM! So when she sent me the copy I was so excited and planned a whole day to sit and enjoy the delicious story she would weave.

The story is about Sierra, a hottie named Simon, and her missing witch friend named Lucy. Sierra goes to Lucy’s house and discovers her friend is missing but also finds the tall drink of water snooping around her place. The two have instant attraction and want to know what happened to Lucy.

The story is a lot of world building and preparing you for what is to come in book 2 and 3. Yes we get resolution BUT there is a shoe drop moment where you need to prepare for the next book. Is it a cliff hanger? Not really but there is MORE to come. Does that make sense???

The cast of characters from Aurora and Owen helping to find Lucy plus all the crazy history of the town is interesting. I liked the spin she took with the town and what is up with Lucy. I will say this is a bit of a slow build because there is so much more to come. You need to get to know the cast and the backstory for the future stories. I am curious about what is said at the end of the book to Sierra and what that all means!!!

Review by Twinsie Melinda

I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.

I was so excited when I saw Britni wrote a paranormal I jumped on this bad boy like there was no tomorrow.  Really Britni does some amazing writing and this was all that and more.

Sierra is a hot mess, really the girl losses her job and when he seeks out her BFF to help her get a job she realized she is gone.  JUST GONE…no one wants to help find Lucy or even believes she is really missing. But the crazy doesn’t end there now Sierra is hearing and seeing thing that she just does not understand.

When she goes to Lucy’s house she runs in to the hottie Simon Caldwell. There is something different about him but he is willing to help Sierra find Lucy and doesn’t think she is crazy. Simon is a paranormal investigator who is in town because of increased spiritual activity.

On their journey to find out what happened to Lucy and where she is Sierra is introduced to new people.  I cannot say if they are paranormal or not but I have my hunches.  I do not do scary movies and this one had me wanting to close my eyes especially when they were in the old building and crazy things stated happening.  I need to know more about the individuals involved in this story not just Sierra and Simon but ALL of them.  I’m so ready for more of this series.

Britni Hill is a new adult and contemporary romance author. She spends her days as a hair stylist, and her nights with the characters in her head striving to write real, page turning romance.

Britni lives in Indiana where she was born and raised. She has a rescue pup she adores and an unhealthy love of binging on cheesy, teenage dramas. If she isn’t writing, she’s reading or watching horror flicks with her boyfriend.
