I love all things supernatural and am a sucker for the lesser-known supernatural beings. With that being said, I was completely drawn in by the Harpy.  This is an action-packed quick read where the police force and the supernatural work together to take down the baddies. Harpies are a rare breed and there aren’t too many around. Once someone finds out what she is they always have something to say and want to see her shift. She is rather annoyed by this, but her wit and snark keep everyone on their toes. It’s Harper’s first day on the job and she is already going out on a job. Things go awry but they are able to obtain other information that take them to an even bigger crime ring. When things seem too easy, something is usually wrong. Well, the team soon finds the chink in the armor and things go crazy! I wish there was more back story for Harper and her boss, Elias (I am hoping for more in the next books). Some of the story felt a bit rushed. I do sense an underlying love story happening between Harper and Elias, so YAY! I love that a member of their team ended up being a cupid because we never hear about them in the supernatural community. This is a new author for me, but this story definitely has me intrigued.

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

I haven’t laughed this hard for a loooong time. I have to tell you/warn you to be ready for the hysterical outburst of laughter….like I freaking SNORTED I was laughing so hard. I even almost spit my sweet tea across the room at one point. So if I must “warn you about this book” please be careful not to choke and die during fits of giggles and laughter while reading.

So this book is about a typical girl who likes to shop…hello Prada. She has the gross habit of smoking. She decided to smoke a bunch til she puked and then get hypnotized so she wont smoke again. Well she goes and ends up becoming a vampyre instead. I have to stay the best parst of the novel are the beginning and meeting all the people who are sent to help Astrid. Her “angel ” Pam who is a foul mouthed doppelganger of Oprah. Her Warrior trained Fairy “The Kev” who looked like Arnold Schwarzenegger …….I was cracking up at the fact The Kev is fashionably challenged. Then we meet Paris Hilton the goth chick who doen’t own any hotel chains….The demons who Astrid cares for are names Ross, Rachel, Beyonce and Honest Abe. I have to say….hilarious!!!

Astrid is the chosen one who will save the Vamps from the demons. I will say the story has some awesome plot twisits. I would be laughing my ass off and then say “DAMN IT SHE DID IT AGAIN!!!” Robyn wrote an awesome story to any and all paranormal people. Astrid meets what she assumes is a rogue vampyre and vanishes before he can kill her. she later remeets this vampyre and realizes he is the prince who she is to save and protect being the chosen one….well the prince decided to take matters into his own hands and starts the mating cycle with a public bite……oooops Astrid is embarrassed that she “has a great O” while standing in front of 600 vamps….lol. The couple have a great chemistry. I loved the dynamic of the two main characters. I loved the side characters of Heathcliff and Gemma.

The chosen one is to save the king, vampyres, and friends from the demons and rogue vampyres…….

I really want to just write the whole plot here but if i do then you wont one click buy it so I am going to STOP and say….listen to me…buy it for a great story and a lot of laughter.

I was super excited to get the next installment of the Warren Witches.  We get to continue from book 1 where we see Lucy getting taken.  We also get to see Owen for the first time annnnd yeah, he is kinda a dick initially.  LOL

I loved seeing Lucy and Owen steam up with their attraction but also seeing them try to figure out why people are after her.  Aurora was another great character, and I can’t wait for her book. But I loved reconnecting with Sierra and Simon who are still main characters in Lucy’s story.

We are learning more about Lucy, her familiars, her abilities, and why she is being targeted.  The ending was more of a cliffhanger for more to come like that last book.  I loved the final page where she is like Welp this is happening….It’s kinda how things seems to go for Lucy.  I know here rag tag team of friends will be there in book 3 to help her win this coming war that is set for their small town.

I was so ready to get the second book of Elements & Ancestors.  This book is about Lucy Warren. She is the last of the family witches. She was living life like anyone would until that night she was taken. We are taken on a journey to figure out what happened to her and who took her.

Lucy is back thanks to her BFF Sierra.  She is ready to have things go back to normal.  Lucy meets Owen who is buying some of her family property.  Her magic is starting to go wacky is it because of Owen or due to the reason she was take.

Lucy cannot stand Owen because let’s face it he was a jerk the first time they came face to face. After Lucy, Sierra, Simon, Aurora, and Owen begin to dig into what happened to Lucy Owen started to thaw. I loved seeing Lucy and Owen connection grow and how Lucy’s familiars calmed her and guided her to things.

The journey that we go on here is crazy I wanted to close my eyes at some points in the book.  Really the places we were drawn to and people we were introduced to had me cringing.  This one leaves us on a cliff and I’m so ready for the third book to see where we are headed next.

DJ……MMMMM yes!!!  I have been waiting for you baby!!!  I wanted to know why you have such darkness in your soul. You back story did not disappoint at alllllll.

Kymber….girl you need a damn hug.  When you fall for the wrong man, it makes everything terrible but, in your case, it puts your life in jeopardy.

Ricardo, dude…you are not every going to be good enough for Kymber or man enough to defeat DJ.  Just saying.  I guess the lessons your daddy taught you, you should have paid better attention too!!

This book had me sitting on the edge of my seat because it was so well written!!  I mean DJ being able to control himself when he sees the monster Ricardo is but also keep his beast at bay….yes please….he is a great character.

Kymber has my heart in knots.  I mean gahhhhh we knew why she did what she did was to protect herself and DJ but guuuurlllll give that man your heart!!

When the dramatic twist happens and Kymber is in danger, I was seriously so glad that DJs people were there to help him . He needs to find Kymber before the fates take her from him!!!

Guys this book…gah I loved it.  I loved seeing DJ tell his story and I LOVED the reaction because I was even like DAYUM!!!!!!!!!!

Carter and Vanessa are a great love story…they are also a crazy love story which is why I love them.

Carter is the doctor of the family who can heal and had helped the family numerous times even knowing it will drain him.  When he is working at the ER, he sees a beautiful girl bring her boyfriend in to get help for a dog bite……that is not a dog bite but a lycan bite!!!

Vanessa is starting to notice some strange happenings in the town but can’t figure it out.  She starts to think she is going crazy especially when her neighbor is bitten by a dog but that sure doesn’t seem like a dog bite plus the bite seems to be healing way sooner than it should be???

Carter and Vanessa both can’t keep the other out of their minds or fantasies.  He is sad she has a boyfriend, and she is sad she didn’t get his name or to see him one last time.  When Brandy and Serena meet Vanessa and Ethan sticks his gifts in Carters mind…the two are soon reunited.

Carter and Vanessa have to overcome a lot like her learning about the paranormal world she is now a part of plus discovering her best friend since childhood is a werewolf….girl is having a hard time.  But Carter is there to kiss and make it all better *Wink*

We do have some things to learn liiiiike…who I after Vanessa and why?   Does Vanessa have some witch DNA in her genes?  We also get a look at more of Peter’s pack and boy o boy am I ready to read those books!!

I was given this book by the author for an honest review.

Mary…girl your stories…what is in that head of yours????  I don’t know but keep with the crazy, fucked-up, sexy as sin, and delicious alpha stories you seem to come up with.

This story is about Clover who has had a wee bit of trauma in her life. She ran for fear of what might happen but now knows its time to return to face her past and help her pack.  Her father, the pack alpha, always knew she would return and had 3 of the sexiest wolves ready to back her upon arrival.  When Clover arrives with little Rosie everyone freaks and soon secrets begin to spill.  Clover is now having to defend her pack from a rival while also slowing her libido down over these 3 sexy guards.

This is another solid story from Mary, and I would love to see more from Clover especially if they spill over into Ariel’s series like the Salt and Pepper Twins did in this novella!!
