Sweet baby Jesus did this book hit all my buttons…shifters, sassy heroine, yummy alpha, insane chemistry and so much more. Sooooo before you ask, yes, I want more!! Actually, scratch that I NEED MORE!!! More More More!!
Before I begin my review I gotta note that this series is a spin off from her to her series Bitten. I haven’t read that series but seriously it didn’t prevent me from loving this story. Did you see my above paragraph???
Ok review time, Where do I begin? Uhm ok how about with the Story. Chloe is helping her friend Lachlan recover from the loss of his mate. She forced him not to give in and pass on like most do when their mate is gone. Along the way, Chloe realizes that OH CRAP I am Lachlan’s 2nd mate which as we know is totally rare. So, Chloe can’t deal with loving a man who will never return her love and runs.
Lachlan is strong and better when he realizes he has another mate out in the word annnd it’s our girl Chloe. Lachlan then goes and gets his girl buuuut under a cover story. Now along the way Chloe needs to know a few thigs like…who killed her parents annnnd the biggie, WLL HE LOVE ME TOO!!!!
This book, seriously I sat and couldn’t put it down!! UGH!! Now I want to read the other series to see what I might have missed out on!!
