The mad priest gave me everything.

Twenty-one years in prison allows a man time to process.

To plot.

To plan.

I’ll take my vengeance in money, in power, and most importantly, on her body.

Mercedes Mondego sold me into hell, leading me to the altar like a sheep to a cliff’s edge.

Every thread I place on the board will wrench together and lead me back to her. Oh, but I’m done with love, and there is nothing left in me except an animal.

The mad priest gave me everything to exact my revenge.

When your lover is taken away to spend twenty years in prison and you help put your soon to be husband and a few family member away a well Mercy now has taken over the family business with the help of only a few that she trust. When a handsome stranger comes and tell her she was going with him she definitely isn’t going without a fight. Little does she know e knows way more about her then she thinks he does. Will Mercy find out who this stranger really is? Will he let her go once he is done using her foot help take down the men that put him behind bars? This is a retelling of a classic story The Count of Monte Cristo, I’m not familiar with the original story so i didn’t have anything to compare it to. Overall it was a very well written story with some crazy twist and turns i didn’t see coming it.
