Free spirit.
Determined.
Destined for greatness.

These were all words used to describe me once upon a time. I was an elite gymnast on the fast track to success. I sacrificed everything for my future, including a social life. My friends didn’t understand, boys called me frigid, but I would prove them all wrong.

A single date changed it all for me. One night with Nate Carter tipped my entire world tipped my entire world off its axis. Black and white turned to gray as lines were crossed and promises I’d made myself years ago were broken. He sent me into a downward spiral that only my brother could save me from. That is, until I met Evan…

It’s amazing how a few words can change your outlook on life. A kind gesture can make you see the beauty around you, and teach you to believe in yourself. Evan did that… he healed me and taught me to fly again.

Follow Jenni’s journey in On Broken Wings- book 7 in The Witness Series.

I received this book from the author for an honest opinion/Review.

What a sad thing…the last book in a series!!  How sad to say good bye to this cast of characters?  Thank goodness for rereads right!!??

We have seen Jenni and Mason’s strong sibling relationship for a few books.  We love her and want to know what happened to her.  We learn a little bit in Mason’s book but seeing it through Jenni’s eyes was hard.  The content is tough, and we do start the book in the past so as to live the trauma Jenni endures.

Evan is a man after this mystery woman who sees Jenni but can’t seem to crack her into accepting more from him.  Evan is charming and patient.  He stays the courses to get to know this sassy, feisty and brilliant woman to give him one dang chance!!  LOL

As the two get closer and build MORE, we see Evan is holding back some truths that will inevitably cause Jenni heartache.  We see Jenni finally opening and freeing herself from the past and everything she went through thanks to the love and support of Evan.  When the two worlds crash and all the secrets are spilled, my heart hurt for Jenni.  I worried, like Mason and the rest of the cast of characters did, about her ability to process it all.  But I hurt for Evan too. He loves Jenni with everything and the thought of hurting her is killing him.

The epilogue is amazing, but the last chapter might have been my favorite. Jenni and Evan made a great read and a great final book in one of my favorite series!!
