Review by Twinsie Dee

I was given this book by the author for an honest review

Becker moved back to Rivers Edge after going through a divorce and not wanting to believe in a happily ever after ever again. Becker is the also been known as a workaholic as the chief of the local fire department, and also is known as the grinch of Rivers Edge. Too many memories surround the holiday’s with having to do with his ex no matter how much he tries to forget they still seem to slip in his mind. Harley is a friend of the Lange family with having dated Becker’s little brother at one point. Harley and Becker were good friends and she was determined to get the grinch in the holiday spirit. Chopping down Christmas trees, the annual lighting ceremony in the middle of town, and all the rest of holiday cheer. Will Harley be able to make Becker like Christmas again or will he forever be haunted by the ghost of his Christmas past. Will they still be friends or will a spark fly between them, also who wins the pie contest between the two of them, and will Becker keep a stray kitten he found by his house and if so, what will he name him?

Nan Reinhardt is a USA Today bestselling writer of romantic fiction for women in their prime. She is also a wife, a mom, a mother-in-law, and a grandmother. She’s been an antiques dealer, a bank teller, a stay-at-home mom, a secretary, and for the last 17 years, she’s earned her living as a freelance copyeditor and proofreader.

But writing is Nan’s first and most enduring passion. She can’t remember a time in her life when she wasn’t writing–she wrote her first romance novel at the age of ten, a love story between the most sophisticated person she knew at the time, her older sister (who was in high school and had a driver’s license!) and a member of Herman’s Hermits. If you remember who they are, you are Nan’s audience! She’s still writing romance, but now from the viewpoint of a wiser, slightly rumpled, woman in her prime who believes that love never ages, women only grow more interesting, and everybody needs a little sexy romance.
