Tex
A hurricane’s rolling in fast when I see a stranded biker.
Small. Soaked. Terrified. Like the road finally ran out on him and he’s got nowhere left to go.
The first thing I notice about him is his eyes, the color of the Gulf before a storm.
He won’t speak. He won’t look at me. Just watches my hands like they might hurt him.
When I move too fast, he flinches. That tells me everything I need to know.
So I load up his bike and take him back to my bar.
He’s clearly running from something. Or someone.
Whoever he’s running from… they just ran into the wrong man.
Stormy
He’s the biggest man I’ve ever been this close to. Six-five. Maybe taller. Built like he could break me in half without trying.
Men that big usually hurt you. My hand drifts toward the knife in my pocket just in case.
I don’t give him my name. I don’t give him anything. I keep my eyes down. That’s the safest way to survive.
But he doesn’t get angry. He doesn’t push.
Instead he gives me a name like it’s a gift he wrapped himself.
Stormy.
For the first time in years, I want to stay. But the past doesn’t let people like me go that easily.
Stormy is an emotional M/M hurt/comfort romance about survival, healing, and finding safety in the last place you expect.
Its hurricane season in the Florida panhandle and theres a real bad one about to hit land. They are saying its a category 4! Tex owns a biker bar that he inherited from his daddy when he passed and he isn’t planning on leaving. Hes done this before and hes ready. Tex just has to make a trip to the hardware store for supplies so he can ride this storm out.
Stormy is stuck under an overpass on a motorcycle with torrential rains blowing sideways. He has no idea what hes going to do, then this big man in a big truck pulls up and changes everything. Tex knows Stormy is running from something but none of that matters because Tex made a vow to himself to protect the boy and that is just what he will do. Tex gives the boy a place to stay, he doesn’t speak much. As time passes, the begin to repair the bar damaged by the recent hurricane that was upgraded 2 a category 5. Tex is a gentle giant, he sees Stormy is hurting and wants nothing more that to make him feel better. He also knows the boy is running from someone who may be dangerous. He gives the boy time, he will come to him eventually. Thats the thing about running, what you are running from will catch up eventually. In this case the devil with a nice smile and a suit showed up to take what was his. He wasn’t banking on running into a bunch of bikers who will always protect their own.
This was my first book by this author. I loved it so much. It had all the angst I love in a good book. I will for sure be looking through their back list.
