5 Splashes of Bourbon (oh I mean 5 Stars)
This contemporary friends to lovers story will have you wiping at your tears and jumping for joy before you even know what hit ya! Tyler and Haven’s story is beautifully written and filled with tons of emotions, with everything between heartbreaking to heartwarming. There were even a few times I wanted to toss my Kindle.
Tyler Nichols is a businessman and restaurant owner in the small town of Mayfield, Kentucky, while Haven Cardwell is a publicist in LA and the bourbon heiress from the same small town. I totally love the chemistry between these two! Love the slow burning start…..and then WHAM fireworks are going off like crazy!
Can these two make it a go? Maybe they can do the long distance thing? Will the gossip be too much to handle? Will the truth set them both free? Grab this book and find out for yourself!
A bonus for me while reading this book – Grady James makes an appearance! If you have read other books by Ms. Pastore you will know that she does toss a few other characters from previous books into her new stories. Grady is my favorite, but Tyler Nichols is giving him a run for his money!
This book will be marked as a favorite for 2019!

Healed by You is the second book in the Harbor Series and can be read as a standalone, but trust me one this – you will want to grab Bound to Me (book 1) after reading this book!
Grady and Harlow are both dealing with ultimate betrayals from their significate others. After bumping into each other a few times, they realize that there is something “more” between them. The sparks start flying, the heat gets turned up a few notches, lust takes over and both of their minds are stuck in the proverbial “gutter” with all those dirty thoughts! They help each other heal – body, mind and soul.
What a fantastic book to end the year on! I have to say that Harlow and Grady are one of my favorite couples!
Three of my most favorite lines in the book are:
“Not a deviant. But if you leave the sexual innuendo door open even a fraction, I’ll come barreling through like the Kool Aid Man.”
“The best way to get over someone is to get under someone else.”
