I purchased this audio book.

I love to comment on the audio for the book.  Voices can make or break a story.  I must stay I loved listening to Tess Irondale.  I think she did a wonderful job changing up all the characters and making each voice different especially during scenes with multiple conversations.

This is the story of 2 people who got totally screwed over by someone else but managed to find a way to each other.  Blue has loved Shadow as long as she can remember but she makes the mistake and tells her sister Calla about her crush.  Calla…lets just say is a …hrmm…total snatch and needs a good throat punch….decides to ruin her sisters happiness especially when she knows Shadow is also feeling Blue.  Needless to say, Calla ruins the two and they spend almost 18 years dealing with the fallout.

Shadow is not a guy to shirk his responsibilities and even puts his heart away to take care of his son with Calla.  He never tells what happened but when he realizes his chance with Blue is about to slip away AGAIN he takes it and lets her know she is his.

Calla is sent to prison and Blue is left to take care of her and Shadows son while Shadow is in jail.   When Shadow is released he lets her know their time in NOW.  He will not take no for an answer.  I loved the way the two figured things out.  He let he be her but also let her know she is his.

There are two big plot twists and I gotta admit they were both awesome to follow along.  I absolutely loved Blue and Shadow but I loved how Bolt was just as happy to finally be able to call Blue his mom.

I purchased this audio book.

First up I gotta say Rachel was a new voice for me and at first I wasn’t sure about her.  However, as the story got going, I really came to enjoy her and listening to her voice all the characters and emotions did work for me.  I am such an audio junkie that I am kinda picky on voices.  But I did think she did a great job.

Ok so here we go…the book starts out with our girl Nev in TROUBLE!!  She is living with a member of the Kings because her parents kinda suck and don’t care about her.  She has been shuffled all through the brotherhood and cared for by the members, but this member seems to think Nev is free for the taking…yeah not the case. When Wizard steps in and sees what almost happened to the club’s unofficial daughter, he is PISSED OFF.  Rightly so.  He steps up and claims her so that no one else will feel she is a free piece of club meat.

Nev and Wizard come to an understand while living together as old man and ol lady.  She will pretend to be his women and she can live her life.  When the President makes Wizard look at the REAL WOMAN Nev is, things start to change between the two of them.  Nev had ALWAYS had a crush on the older patched member and now he sees the woman and perfect old lady she is.

Nev and Wizard find a great place and are really falling into love when shit goes sideways, and everything changed.

I did feel the end of the story was rushed after the plot twist change happened.  I would have loved more seeing the changes that Wizard goes through, but it did end rushed. Maybe it’s because I really enjoyed the story and wanted more?    I did enjoy the bad people in the story that caused the shit storm to happen and I kinda loved Nev’s dad all of a sudden being a dad….weird how when the kid grows up you realize how much you lost.

Cant wait to jump in to book 2!!

I purchased this book off Amazon when it was free.

I grabbed this book because help TWINS…yes please.  I have also never read anything by this author and wanted to give it a try. I love novellas and this was also another reason the book appealed to me.  I love short, quick reads some days.  I’m on Christmas break and just wanted to try to read a few books by new to me authors.

This story is about Hunter and Maddox.  Two identical twins who are love ‘em and leave ‘ems util they meet Mykah.  Hunter and Maddox are stunned happy that this beautiful woman is interested in them both and would consider dating them and more.  They have been through a lot with women in the past and their family not understanding their “twin bond”.

Mykah has been though a lot with men in her life plus the fact she is a “dirty little secret” doesn’t help her self-esteem either.  She knows her extended family isn’t exactly in love with how she came to be born.

When they all meet thanks to a mutual friend dragging Mykah out for her birthday sparks fly immediately.  I liked the story.  It’s a fast paced story with an inst-love feel but hey I read romance for love so I will take it at any pace it comes.

So if hot men…errr twins at that, insta-love, hawt sexy times, and a passion to protect the new found love is something you want to read then this I treasure for you.  I admit book 3 sounds like something I might wanna dive into as well.

Witches, vampires, and the bayou…oh my! Ok, enough with the silliness…I loved Witch For Hire! So long story short, Louella has run away from home due to some….”issues”…  Lou is from a family line of witches that are in the upper echelon of witch society. Her family is very respected. She has been gone long enough and things make her return home but she is in for a treat when she returns. Her family is being pulled apart as no one agrees on anything. Cristobal, her ex but not ex love, is the top Vamp in the area. She has some friends that have pulled away from their families. And now Lou struts back into town expected to do as everyone believes she should but one thing that we don’t get from Lou is that she is going to do what she thinks and feels is right. And boooooy does this cause some problems everywhere. She has to play her role in two different societies and also is working Witch For Hire to help others. Louella and her supporting characters are extremely funny and pissy all at the same time. Louella is an extremely easy character to relate to (even if we aren’t witches, lol). She struggles with the same crap we all do with society, friends, family, and foes…only on a supernatural level with intense twists and turns. Witch for Hire pulled me in with it’s promise of witches and gave me so much more! The characters are witty, snide, and relatable. The world building is on point. And the story…was very witchy!!!!! Shyla Colt is a new author for me and I am looking forward to reading more!
