I’ve never been the kind of girl to take the easy way out. I learned at too young of an age there are no such things as fairy tales. Happy endings never came to people like me.
The tarnished ones.
I’m surrounded by a group that knows sadness too well. We know what it’s like to lose and be tossed away like last night’s trash.
We are easy to blame for all the wrongs, because when others look at us, they see our scars. Most of our stories are told in the ink we bear, but we wear those tales proudly.
Oliver Riggins is the first man I’ve run across that made me feel like I could have more. But he’s also one of the many men who are more family to me than my own flesh and blood.
Four brothers by choice, they’ve taken me in, and treated me as one of their own.
The problem is, I’ve always wanted more from Oliver.
I’ve felt an instant connection to him from the first day I walked into Deranged Ink. But the fear of ruining what we have and then in the end not having him at all, that was too hard to bear.
So instead, I’ve sat back and watched the parade of women in his life, but with each one I feel a little part of me crumble away.
I want him, I’ve always wanted him.
Maybe it’s time I stop running.
Maybe it’s time I start fighting for the things I want.

I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.

After reading book 1 I had a soft spot for Luna and wanted to know her story.  Really a tough girl that is friends with these crew of guys is my kinda girl.  I wanted to know what happened to her to land her with this misfit group I figured it was a rough road that brought her to where she is.

Luna finally found her safe place. She felt safe in her home and with the guys at the shop. She kept a lot of secrets Oliver being one of them.  She wanted more with Oliver but all she could do was watch him with his revolving door of women.  Things were going well for Luna until her past found a way to her and started tormenting her. She no longer felt safe where she was and Oliver was there.

Oliver never thought he was capable of love or being loved. When Oliver realized something wasn’t right with Luna his protective side came out. Oliver could no longer hide his feelings and when he was able to get Luna to open up to him my heart went out to both of them. These two are amazing together. Too see Luna open up and realize that there are good guys out there that will protect and love her and not hurt her was heartwarming.

I have fallen hard for the entire Deranged Ink family.  I was so happy when Dax found Bre in book 1 and now hearing Luna and Oliver’s story. I do like that we got to see a little more of Dax and Bree in this one. They all have truly made their own family. They may not be blood related but they all picked one another and stand by each other through anything. I cannot wait to hear the stories of the other guys of Deranged Ink.

“Damn Luna,” Zac whistles when I sit down and I notice Oliver offers him a dirty look. “Who knew you had a killer set of legs under all those jeans.”

“That dress makes your ass go pow,” Jace adds, and before I get the chance to say anything Oliver smacks him on the back of the head. “What the hell is up your ass Olly?”

That’s when I notice the frown line between Oliver’s scrunched up eyes. “Enough with the comments.”

“Why, because they can’t tell me I look good?”

His gaze lands on me and we hold each other’s stare for a few seconds.

C.A. Harms is an avid romance and mystery reader. She’s always had a love for books, getting lost in writing and storytelling even as a young girl. She enjoys happy endings and HEA love stories.

She lives in Illinois and enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She holds an addiction for Starbucks White Chocolate Mocha’s and KitKat when she should really be focusing on water and maybe a fruit or two to make herself feel less guilty, but that feeling quickly passes…thankfully.

She is easy going, fun, and although she may seem like one of the quiet ones at first, you just wait until she gets to know you better…that quietness changes, fast.
