#WOTR#AmWriting – A Collection of Letters to Benefit The Wayne Foundation

wotr-attendingauthor

AD Ellis and Elizabeth Sharp

#AmWriting Ebook CoverKnowing what you know now of writing, publishing, and putting your art out into the world, if you could go back to the day you sat down to start typing in your very first manuscript, what words would you offer to yourself? Words of encouragement? Words of advice? Caution against certain pitfalls? Would you change anything about how you got to where you are today?

The publishing community is so much bigger than it was before the self-publishing boom and it continues to grow exponentially every day. Unfortunately, it doesn’t come with a handbook or support group. #AmWriting is a collection of letters written by authors from all different corners of the publishing community. The letters provide words of encouragement or advice to those just starting out or those who have become discouraged in their art. At Pure Textuality PR, we believe in supporting each other as a community, and we felt this project would be a good way to bring writers together and maybe give some new artists just the right nudge to keep going.

100% of the net proceeds of #AmWriting will be donated to The Wayne Foundation, a charity dedicated to offering aid and services to young women victimized by illegal sexual exploitation and the sexual trafficking of minors. I

h Victoria. You and your alpha men…sigh…or do I want to swoon??? LOL Whatever I choose will be a good decision.
Two Wolves/Keith is Mr. Tall Dark of Alpha Water. We have seen his life and what he has gone through. He has a movie filmed by Miranda Sutton earlier and it failed. He is angry with her and when he sees her a few years later, he does his best to take it out on her.
Miranda is sooo not having it. She is like “nope but sorry try again son” having it. He may have bullied her before but he will not do it again. PERIOD. Now the book focus is on the horses that Miranda was filming and Keith was “horse whispering” to get them rounded up. The two are a really good couple but Keith is so up in his own head due to his mixed heritage plus Miranda is challenging him on his every turn..LOL GO Miranda!!
As with all Victoria Vane novels, the writing is flawless. Her characters are real and flawed. They are people who we could actually know. They have mega chemistry and are full of fears

Paradise Found: Cain (Paradise #2)

synopsis

“I hate that I love you,” she said. “You left me.”

“I lost you, there’s a difference. Now that I found you, I intend to keep you.”

Lost.

I’d tasted the sweetest fruit of temptation, and I wanted another bite. I had promised myself before, but once wasn’t enough. The savory flavor of her lingered long after I’d lost her. Contending with the pressure to return to the fight, in order to prove myself to my father and the world, I had to let her go.

Found.

It has been a year. Sofie Vincentia and I had played a dangerous game. For one night, we pretended, only to discover our farce was real. I’d lost her, but I hadn’t stopped searching, hoping for her return. I was used to getting what I wanted, so when she didn’t come to me, I had to go after her. This would be the greatest fight of my life.

I received a copy of the book from the author for an honest review.
Oh boy. Cain and Sofie. Kusch and Atom. Abel and Elma. Seeing people from LB’s first series in the book and loving that cross over!! So many crazy storylines. Your mind is always busy and thinking and wondering and saying “WHA!!!”
Cain met and married on a drunken night, Sofie who is the woman of his dreams. But because we all know how Atom, Cain’s awful father is, he has to hide this marriage from everyone…including his wife! When Cain sees Sofie again, He has to have her and this time keep her FOREVER!!
The whole story is them trying to figure it out. They both love each other But there is soooo much standing in the way. Her jealous and insecurity of other woman. Him fearing losing her when his father finds out. His father pitting him and his brother against one another. DRAMA people…Straight up DRAMA!!
The story kept my mind RACING!! I mean I was like WHAT and then OH SNAP followed by NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. The secrets that are revealed at the end of the book will defo change the family and their dynamic. I was super excited to see who strolled in at the end and hope that there is another book coming. I don’t think that Cain and Abel’s story is finished just yet!!

about the author

I’d like to say I was always a writer. I’d also like to say that I wrote every day of my life since a child. That I took the teaching advice I give my former students because writing every day improves your writing. I’d like to say I have my ten-thousand hours that makes me a proficient writer. But I can’t say any of those things. I did dream of writing the “Great American Novel” until one day a friend said: Why does it have to be great? Why can’t it just be good and tell a story?

As a teenager, I wrote your typical love-angst poetry that did occasionally win me an award and honor me with addressing my senior high school class at our Baccalaureate Mass. I didn’t keep a journal because I was too afraid my mom would find it in the mattress where I kept my copy of Judy Blume’s Forever that I wasn’t allowed to read as a twelve year old.

I can say that books have been my life. I’m a reader. I loved to read the day I discovered “The Three Bears” as a first grader, and ever since then, the written word has been my friend. Books were an escape for me. An adventure to the unknown. A love affair I’d never know. I could be lost for hours in a book.

So why writing now? I had a story to tell. It haunted me from the moment I decided if I just wrote it down it would go away. But it didn’t. Three years after writing the first draft, a sign (yes, I believe in them) told me to fix up that draft and work the process to have it published. That’s what I did. But one story let to another, and another, and another. Then a new idea came into my head and a new storyline was created.

I was accused (that’s the correct word) of having an overactive imagination as a child, as if that was a bad thing. I’ve also been accused of having the personality of a Jack Russell terrier, full of energy, unable to relax, and always one step ahead. What can I say other than I have stories to tell and I think you’ll like them. If you don’t, that’s okay. We all have our book boyfriends. We all have our favorites. Whatever you do, though, take time for yourself and read a book.

#Promo – Paper Planes and Other Things We Lost By: Mindy Hayes and Michele G. Miller

Paper Planes and Other Things We Lost
Genre: Clean Teen/YA Romance
BUY THE BOOK

ABOUT THE BOOK

On June 18, 1993, Flight 397 crashed off the coast of Long Island.
But this story isn’t about the crash. Not completely.
This is a story about two high school seniors living very different lives, who share one connection: they both lost parents on that fateful flight.
Slowly, letters bridge the gap between California and Pennsylvania as Ruby Kaminski and Brett Pratt find a way to remember the past while looking toward the future.
This is a story about hope, paper planes, and the other things they lost.
SNEAK A PEAK

Prologue

Dear Amber,
Did you know you’re more likely to be attacked by a shark than die in a plane crash? I find that interesting since I never go in the ocean, but I’ve been on a plane ten times. So, I guess I’m more likely to die in a plane crash than be attacked by a shark, but maybe it’s different for you.
I thought beginning this letter as if you already know me would make the concept of a total stranger writing to you a little less weird, but now that I’ve thought about it, I realize my fascination with plane crash facts might be weirder. But I like weird. So, hi. If you didn’t catch it from my return address, I’m Ruby Kaminski from Fremonton, California. My mom died on Flight 397 with your parents. Though, can we really say they died when we have no idea what actually happened to them? Let’s refer to them as MIA. No, I’m not in denial. I’m painfully aware that they aren’t coming back, but I like facts. And the truth of the matter is most of the people on Flight 397 are MIA.
You’re probably wondering how I managed to get your address. I have my ways. Besides, I thought it might be good to connect with someone who understands what I’m going through. Though I believe our circumstances are entirely different, and there’s no way for me to understand what you’re going through, I’m hoping we can relate to one another on some level.
Do you ever wonder if, after the plane exploded, the passengers were washed up onto a remote island, and now they are kicking back, drinking coconut milk, and sun tanning under a palm tree? Maybe they are eating fresh seafood cooked over a fire and sleeping under the stars?
It’s a nice thought, don’t you think?
If you’re okay with weird, feel free to write me back. I’m full of it.
Sincerely,
Ruby Kaminski

Reluctantly, he agrees, and finds himself sitting beside free spirit Sloan Talbott, who is attending her sister’s destination wedding at the same resort. Both have been hurt. angies review

AWWW Smitty!!  Lemme tell ya..this man stole my heart is Jules book.  Then to SEE he was getting a book….Imagine me being a crazy girl jumping up and down.  Yes I wanted Smitty to find love.  SO imagine my shock when I SEE that the beginning of the book he is getting married.  *Insert wrinkled eye brows*  Unless her name is Angie, this won’t do!!

Smitty has found his one love.  I mean I was even shocked to hear about their whirlwind courtship and pending nuptials but it just SEEMED right.  It seemed he found his one…until Jules dropped the BOMB that Caroline isn’t coming.  My heart was breaking for my man in the first chapter.  NO NO NO not my Smitty!!!  Why would this woman leave.  He is perfection …in my eyes anyway.

So fast forward a year later and Smitty is still hurting.  He hasn’t had the heart to remove Caroline from his life so to speak.  He looks at her photo every morning and is still hurt by her departure.  Jules has had enough.  She FORCED Smitty to go on his trip…..errr…..his honeymoon because the trip hasn’t yet expired.  She packs his bag and ships him off to Jamaica for the week.

Sloan is going to Jamaica to see her little sister get married.  But before she can leave she has to go and visit a grave sight of someone she loves dearly.  Her husband.  She hasn’t been able to move on in over 5 years since he died.  Her love for Cooper is so strong and she is happy, or so she thinks, with her life the way it is.

A simple seat assignment on a plane has the two meeting and forming a connection.  I gotta say there was something SO RIGHT about Sloan and Smitty the more and more we saw them together.  They were like two missing puzzle pieces.  They just FIT!

When the story starts to unfold and we learn what happened to Coop and then why Caroline doesn’t show for the wedding.  OMG I dunno which story made me sadder.  But the things that REALLY BROKE Me was when Sloan leaves Smitty because of her involvement with Caroline…OMG….DESTROYED!!!

I was a bit mad at my man Smitty but loved when how he owned his heart and feelings.  I loved how he never gave up on Sloan and even assisted is getting her family to help him get his woman back!!

I am so going to miss this guy and these characters but trust me you won’t be disappointed.

Wrong

synopsis

Tor

My life was mapped out and planned to perfection. I knew exactly what I wanted and where I was going, until I was thrust into his world and ripped from mine. In the blink of an eye everything shattered, proving to be nothing more than a cheap illusion. Now I’m living in this twisted form of hell, where enemies and friends are one and the same. I thought I wanted perfection. Now I don’t know what I want – perhaps not even my own freedom.

Jude

I’m the definition of wrong. I’m violent, I’m greedy, and I stop at nothing to win. I’m a notorious bookie and in my game paying with your life is not just a figure of speech. You lose, collect. I take whatever you have. She’s collateral for a debt, and if that debt’s not paid someone will die. This should be just business, so why can’t I kill her?
Everything is not always as it seems.

angies review

I received this book from the authors for an honest review.

So when Stevie told me about this book I was like HRMMMMM.  She is great at writing filthy rockers and awesome paranormals sooooo how is this dark romance gonna be???  In once word : HOLY-MUTHER-OF-GOD!!  OK so I guess that is more of a phrase right???

This book is a hot mess and by that I mean a good hot mess.  Ria/Victoria is  a soon to be doctor who is dating Mr. Perfect soon to be doctor but spoiled brat Euan.  At dinner someone shows to collect the money he owes JP the bookie ANNNNND he throws them is WOMAN as collateral??  UHMMMM who does that?  Oh  a DB that is who.

So Ria is taken as a hostage to JP/Jude/yummy hottie bad boy.  He is NOT happy his lackey took a woman as a hostage.  He doesn’t do hostages.  He just kills ya if you don’t pay up but not a hostage.  So as anyone would do, Ria fights and tries to get away.  This part of the book was my favorite.  You get to see scrappy Ria fighting with Jude and people no one fights against Jude!

As the story progresses, we find out some stuff about the “awesome” boyfriend and his family connections.  Then Jude and newly named Tor (Jude hates Ria)   start to connect and form an understanding along ….with…..falling….in….love?????  Best scene of the book, Tor drunk in the strip club…CLASSIC humor!!!

The book ends with a major cliffy but not the cliff you expected????  I loved it and cannot wait for the next book.  I need more Jude in my life!!

about the author

Lauren Lovell is an indie author from England. She suffers from a total lack of brain to mouth filter and is the friend you have to explain before you introduce her to anyone, and apologise for afterwards.

Lauren loves to hear from readers so please add her on Goodreads, Facebook and Twitter. Visit her websitewww.lplovell.com.

Stevie J Cole

I enjoy the escape writing allows, and fully enjoy weaving a tale and creating crazy characters. When I’m not writing I am cuddling with my two little girls, and listening to my husband play his guitar (swoon). Some trivial fact about me would be: I love the color pink, I adore sloths, and I have a thing for British accents. My biggest fear is completely irrational, but I can’t help it. The thought of the pending zombie apocalypse absolutely creeps me out. I honestly can not imagine a more horrifying way to be blotted out of existence than by the hand of a decaying, oozing corpse.

I hope if you read my books you will enjoy them and will be sucked into the little world I have created with words. After all, writing is the most amazing magic trick in the universe because it allows the reader to crawl inside the mind of the author. If you really think about that … it’s kind of disturbing.
