Oh boy…the last book in the series…are you sure Cat???? I mean us Die Hard Shaft Addict would love to see another book from you….le Sigh…we just can’t let go of the guys and their ladies. But really I wanna see Jazzie grown up and have her giving Hunter one heck of a time!! LOL
This book is about Mack/Dominique the 2nd in command security guy. You remember him. The one Hunter loves to teaser relentlessly…..yeah him that ginger headed hottie. Well the love and biggest regret of his life just so happens to be the new bass player Ireland. Well friends Mack was a total DB to her and this caused Ireland to became the cold woman that she is today because of what he does to her when they were 17….8 long years ago.
Ireland lived as a privileged girl and falls in love with the biggest loser on the planet…his world people. When he breaks her heart and leaves her. she changes and hardens her heart but always carries the torch for him. Granted the torch is full of hate at first but as they say a thin line between love and hate. When he is put in charge of her security, she makes him pay for every tear she ever shed about him.
Mack is a mess. He can’t believe his sweet girl is now THIS woman. He does all he can to try and reconnect with her but does the stupid Fist bumping with Hunter after some loving and back in the dog house he goes.
I liked the story and loved how the whole cast was front and center for the last story along with our main H/h. We got to see everyone and a glimpse into the Shaft future. To be truthful, I gotta say Jazzie STOLE the book. She made each scene the best. When she “took away Mack’s super powers”, that scene made my heart hurt…but otherwise Jazzie was the best part of the book by far.
