angies review

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

AHH Time Travel plus Historical…yes please!!  Then throw in a pirate annnnd I was a giggle factory!!

SO Lady Evelyn is on a hot, God forsaken island with her father when she gets word she has to go back to England for her wedding…SHEW!!  She is happy to finally get the heck outta the hot tropics for “civilized life” when the ship she is sailing on is boarded by pirates.  Well Captain Jack Morgan (Yup that guy) decides he is going to keep Lady Evelyn and hope to make her is mistress…..now all of this is happening in 1722 while our Hero, Paul’s, story is happening in 1987.

Paul works.  Paul works tooo much when he is forced to take a vacation to help his health. He vacations on a God-forsaken island.  He takes a stroll but gets caught up in a storm when he sees a beautiful woman on the beach. They both run for cover and soon realize that something wonky has happened.  He has some how manage to slip back in time.

The couple fall in love and have to find way to 1987 or figure out what to do in 1722.  The epilogue is a great set up for the other books in the series. Book 2 is their oldest daughter Alys and book 3 is the other daughter Regina!!  I read this series out of order completely and didn’t find it confused me at all.  I read book 3 before book 1 nd m jumping into bok 2 now…LOL  so I would say these are total stand alones.

about the author

Dawn Brower works as a substitute teacher and enjoys the flexibility it gives her to concentrate on her other endeavors.

Growing up she was the only girl out of six children. She is a single mother of two teenage boys; there is never a dull moment in her life. Reading books is her favorite hobby. While she loves all genres she focuses most of her writing on historical and contemporary romance.

There are always stories inside her head; she just never thought she could make them come to life. That creativity has finally found an outlet.
