When and Why did you start to write?
I’ve always toyed with the idea of being an author from a young age. My first story FINDING YOU was 3/4 completed by the time I was 25. It sat in a computer file for close to 20 years before I finally dusted it off and modernized the story for publishing in 2015. This started a new career for me. I’m thrilled with the journey to date.
What authors do you always read or suggest to others?
I love authors who make me feel strong emotion: laughter, love, heartache. Some of my favorite for that are Jill Barnett, Cynthia St. Aubin, Julia Quinn, and a whole host of others.
What is the most surprising thing you have found out with the writing process?
How tough it is to get the word out about your books. Marketing is tough and don’t let anyone tell you differently. I have a great respect for anyone in the marketing field.
What are you working on now?
I have a few stories going at one time. I’m still creating novellas for the Stonebrooke series, and I have plans to create a few novels for the Holt series.
When writing are you a pantser or plotter?
I’m a total panster. The story hits me, and I have to get it typed immediately. I’ll be partially through, and the plot takes a major twist. I follow where it leads most times.
