#WOTR #NewRelease #Review – Before the Cherry Trees (Cook Brothers #3) by: H. D’Agostino

There are always those unexpected moments in our lives that make us realize that we aren’t in control.

I’ve known Sharron was it for me for as long as I can remember. We met when we were just kids, and fell in love. At eighteen when she told me she was pregnant, I did what I’d always planned to do… I asked her to marry me.

As the years passed by so did our dreams. We grew up fast, but our love never faltered. Our marriage was solid, and I thought we could survive anything… but I was wrong.

‘For better or worse’ is easier said than done. When you feel like everything is crumbling around you it’s easy to give up and walk away, at least it was for her.

I have no intention of letting her go. She’s my other half, and I know she can find her way back to me. I just need her to remember how we were before the cherry trees.

I received a copy of this book for an honest review.

This book was hard to read at some points and will hit close to home for some. I will say you will probably want to have some tissues handy while reading this.

Trevor and Sharon were high school sweethearts and their love is deep. However, when one of the happiest times in your life and it becomes the worst time things fall apart. This is what happened with Sharon.  She is trying to deal with this on her own that ends up taking her, Trevor and the family on a downward slope.

There were some tough chapters in this book but when it came to all the flashbacks of Trev and Sharon they were amazing.  I loved seeing these two as young adults and trying to make everything work at a young age. They had strength and determination then. However, Sharon seemed to lose some of that this time. Watching Sharon go through this was heartbreaking but seeing Trev and his amazing sweet side was heartwarming. These two went through so much together and to see when Sharon gave up Trev was right there trying to get her back. OH, the things he did.

I fell hard for the Cook brothers each in their own way and will miss them. However, being able to seeing them grow from young adults to the family men they are was one of the best parts. To see how the family supports each other and helps one another out is something everyone should have.
