#Review – Twelfth Floor (Twisted Shakespeare #2) by Monica Corwin @Monica_Corwin

Twelfth Floor

This isn’t your high school Shakespeare.

Violet Cesario fled the shipwreck of her father’s company to Illyria Pharmaceuticals. As the newly appointed, and untried CFO, the board gave her thirty days to prove her worth. Thirty days to bring up the numbers. Thirty days to fend off the advances of her secretary, Olivia. Thirty days of hiding her submissiveness inside a dominant’s shell.

Thirty days gets complicated when Duke Orsino, the CEO, offers her a deal. Help him win over Olivia and he will sway the board in Violet’s favor. If she agrees to teach him the games behind dominance and submission Violet’s career will be made. As the play turns more and more true to life, the lines blur between fantasy and reality. Can Violet hide her desire for Duke long enough for him to woo Olivia? And if he succeeds can Violet endure it for the sake of her career?

Goodreads

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

Holy Hotness and Chemistry is this book good.  I loved the take on this story.  The girl who loves the guy and pretends to help him get the other girl.  Violet, Duke and Olivia are a twisted trio for dang sure.  Poor Olivia has no idea what is in store for her.

Violet first sees her CEO while he is almost swallowing his newest conquest outside of the building at work.  She decides to play the strong working woman to not fall at his feet and become one of the many notches on his bed post.  Olivia is her bright eyed and beautiful secretary who seems to be a bit overly interested in serving her new boss???

Duke walks in to the office of his new CFO and is stunned that the one woman he can’t have, Olivia, is stumbling to please her new boss.  He can’t stand it and it makes him insanely jealous.  When he walks in on an intimate moment between the two woman he is driven to find out HOW, in a matter of days, Violet has gotten to Olivia.

The two strike up a deal.  Get Duke to win over Olivia and Duke will get Violet a permeant position in the company.  Sounds easy right??  OH friends it is so not easy.  Ya see, Ms. Violet is FAR from the dominant woman she pretends to be and is slowly falling more and more in love with her boss.  Duke is so confused because he is starting to lust over Olivia less and less and is more consumed with Violet!!  What is happening to him.  When he finally has his chance with Olivia, he is livid because it seems he is too consumed with Violet!!

The sexual tension is amazing in this book.  Duke and Violet are such perfect people for each other.  They both push the other to do better and be better.  The twists in the story are AMAZING!!  I like the author did a great job transforming each character and making you want them to want more from the other in the ending.
