Title: But First, Coffee
She’s the boss.
And then there’s Doug Maddox, a man with a lot of power over me. He’s blackmailing me. Making me spy on her. I’m supposed to find her weaknesses and destroy her. But the closer I get, the more the lines between us start to blur.
She’s sweet. She’s kind. She’s sexy as hell.
Why am I the only man who see’s this?
So now I’m stuck—between keeping my sister safe against Doug, because that’s what’s really at stake here, and these feelings I can’t deny for a woman who shouldn’t mean anything to me.
I know what I have to do. I’ll destroy her.
It doesn’t matter if I have to destroy my own heart in the process.
I received this book from the author for an honest review.
I love Sarah’s books and sign up to review them when I get the forms. Something about the way she writes and her kinda but not really insta-love….dude its romance and I like it.
So Joe and Lana……ok when I read the blurb of the book I thought it was gonna be like the movie You got mail. Remember that movie in the 90’s with Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks…I mean Joe is watching Lana to undermine her and all that jazz…..so I was all in with the book.
But I think I got so much more in the book. There is a lot of chemistry, lust and ANGST people. Sarah is the queen of angst. Have you read her other series??? OMG so good!! The story was a great book with blackmail to save our sister but falling for your target. We soon discover many layers of Joe and Lana plus the other characters, Kitty and Doug. We see the main couple falling in love while trying to figure out what to do and also looking ahead to Kitty’s book. Maybe the spoiled brat will soon learn a thing or two about love.
