Tell us your name and then a bit about yourself and which Twinsie do you know.

Hi, My name is Brooke Page. I live in the beautiful state of Michigan with my husband, two children, and three cats. I work at a school part time in the computer lab, and write romance on the side when I can find time. I like romantic suspense, but am currently dabbling in a rockstar series. The Twinsie I know is the lovely Tenise! We’ve known each other for almost 8 years! We met through the book world 🙂

When you are writing a book, which is harder? The first book in the series or the others after it?

I’d say the first book. It’s so important to have a good set up, and I typically think of the big BOOM moment, which typically comes later in the series. I’ve written many ending scenes prior to beginning books.

What comes first? The plot or characters?

It depends on who’s talking in my head. Typically, I get a plot idea first, then build the characters around that.

What is harder? The blurb writing, naming the book, or naming the series?

BLURB! I loath writing blurbs, it’s such an important part of the writing process that it causes me anxiety.

What is your favorite memory so far as an author?

I’ve had readers come up to me at signings telling me how much certain characters relate to them. I love when readers find my characters relatable and help to give them perspective on their lives.

What is your definition of success?

Be happy at what you do. I’ll never turn down a moment to write. I figure the day when I don’t “feel like it” will be the day the fire has gone out.
