I was given this book by the author for an honest review.

I am going to start this review by saying, if you are not current with the series please do not start here.  Go grab book 1 and start there.  I am current with the series, and it took me a second to remember what was going on.  The world Valerie had written is complex.

King Trevan is so not stoked to have Amber…ya know the one who killed his family…be his fated mate.  I mean WTF right?  But he does go ahead and buys her from where she was being held. Amber is like SHEW, I am free.  However, she soon learns that is NOT the case.  To say she is not happy is an understatement!!  Amber is going to get out one way or another.  She sees the effect she has on Trevan.  Little seduction won’t hurt right?  Wrong because he has the same effect on here.  Now this is totally an enemy to lovers feel but with a squish of insta love.

Trevan needs to figure out what to do with Amber …mate or kill her…lol….and then he now has to content with the other dude rolling in wanting her.  Not cool and mega stress for him.  Amber and Trevan need to get to mating or things will do sideways for their people.

I enjoy the world Valerie has created.  I like the banter and chemistry the main couples always have.  I lok forward to more in the series.
