Entertaining story of the not so pretty girl and the hot guy falling for each other. Gina has a lot of things going against her. She has self esteem issues because of her large nose, was tortured throughout school, and to top it all off, her family is connected to the mob. Gina has come to terms that she is going to be alone for the rest of her life but she has made the most of it and has given her all to her career. While at a wedding that she planned (she is a wedding planner), she gets put on blast as she and the hottest cop in town are put on the kiss cam. It was wonderful but definitely short lived. She is once again humiliated. I know that a lot of reviews for this book are not happy that she is so hard on herself but she has been through some tough times and I think it is needed to really understand where she is coming from, and how others see her. But now that she and the cop have this “thing”, she is dealing with the fact that her family has mob connections and Ford is a detective. How does this work exactly? Well, secrets are kept, fun is had, and hard decisions need to be made. There are many times that I smiled throughout the story and even chuckled to myself. I thought it was a well thought out story and I very much enjoyed it. I look forward to reading more by this author.

I most of these titles are rereads for me. It was so nice to read my favorite guy Clay/Jet in Feverish. My initial thought of Clay/Jet was still there after all this time. Others can have Daddy Brad, Ethan, and whoever else but I will stick with my Clay/Jet no matter what. He is a kind loving sole with a little bad boy in him, I get the best of both worlds.
I don’t normally like cheating husbands but oh man for Kage I will this time. Jessica is hired by Kage’s wife who thinks he is cheating. I enjoyed reading Kage and Jessica story. This is a great start to a series.
Katie has a job, home, and is engaged. When enters Johnny from her past. They have been best friends since middle school and she has had a secret crush on him since high school but Johnny only sees her as his best friend, or more like a sister. Until one day Johnny comes to visit and one kiss changes everything. Do they stay together or does she loose it all when Johnny finds out she is engaged?
I forgot about Megan and Tyler love lost/love found story. I have to say Megan still annoyed me at times but so enjoyed reading them again.
While the others were re-reads this was a new one. I absolutely loved Piper she sees that Mike is not happy. When he is given the opportunity to play the band with old friends, she is all in no questions asked. “Some of the best things that happen are spontaneous.” Perhaps a one night stand? I am not sure if I call this a fast burn or a slow burn type of book. Possibly a little of both. Tucker, a wolf shifter, has a one night stand with Josie, daughter of a witch, and their worlds get turned upside down. Josie leaves early in the morning to move out of town for work and neither of them got the other’s last name. A few months later Josie moves back to Dark Moon Falls with her aunt because she is pregnant and will need help. Guess who is a daddy? TUCKER! Both of them really like each other but Josie has this secret. Things get interesting as they get to know each other more, hence the slow burn. But wait, there’s more! Josie’s about to find out a secret about her family too! Then things really start to get all twisted up but in a very sweet way.
When I started the story I kept waiting to figure out when the bad guy was going to make an appearance and what type of crazy was going to come out. I was pleasantly surprised by Tucker’s story because it ended up being a beautiful love story in more ways than one. Love how this one warmed my heart in multiple ways. A must read for an extremely heartfelt happily ever after!

It doesn’t matter if his brother’s death was justified or not, right and wrong is completely out the window. Kellan is an incredible character and Samira compliments him perfectly. The tension and angst between these two is incredible. Even though they were born to be enemies, they are tied together by the fates. The fates, I tell ya, they are tricky bastards. You cannot fight them. These two do a lot of soul searching before finally succumbing to being with each other. But can you still trust each other? Whose family do you actually belong to and where do your loyalties lie? And true to Bella Roccaforte’s nature, be prepared for some crazy twists and turns that will surely keep you entertained. This is part of the Dark Moon Falls world but can be read as a standalone. I highly recommend.

I loved how Peter needed to make sure all the women were safe and protected. He made sure they got the counseling they needed. He also made it clear by his actions and words that they were all free, no longer imprisoned and could make their own choices.
I enjoyed seeing Rosalie become the leader she was born to be. She knows how to plan a weekend of fun, let loose herself and have a good time with her new pack. I fell in love with this pack and I’m intrigued with the witches in this one. I think I need to go back and read all the Broderick series. I did find the myself wanting to know more about the alpha of another pack just by one phone call conversation with Peter. I am intrigued by many of the pack members and ready to see them find their mates.

Swish, swish. The windshield wipers were busy at work this morning. It’d been raining since late the night before, and now there was just a whole dreary feel to the day. I absolutely loved Bailey and Kash in The Insiders. I was so excited to see that I received a copy of The Damaged to find out what was going on in their life. I was flying through the pages trying to figure out what was going to happen next and where in the work this was going to end up. I can say I had no idea this was going to end the way it did. I was on the edge of my seat who is a friend, who is an enemy pretending to be a friend, who is lying, who is betraying them.
Bailey Hayes was always the one on the sidelines or in the back ground, never one to stand out or be noticed. Now that the world knows who her father and boyfriend is she cannot get out of the spotlight. She is trying to navigate graduate school all whiling dealing with things that are going on in her head, her past, and just around her in general. Kash helps to ground her and protects her.
Kash is still full of secrets and keeps part of his life away from Bailey to protect her. Kash Grandfather is out to get him. They are both constantly trying to stay one step ahead of the other. Only problem is Kash’s Grandfather knows his Achilles heel. We get a small glimpse into what all Kash does for his family and Bailey.
I still have so many questions regarding Kash and his family. I enjoyed seeing Bailey get a “normal” day out. I love that the chemistry between Kash and Bailey is still intense. I enjoy seeing the playful side of Kash when he would let that side show. Even though we got to see more of Kash and the Francis family there are still so many secrets and things that need to be explained. As with The Insider the plot is still amazing, I’m not sure who all the players are in this story good or bad. One minute you think someone is a good person and then your like wow didn’t see that coming. The ending of this one had me on the edge of my seat and now I need to know more of this family and how things are going to end.
Emma Galvin and Joe Arden are both new voices for me. I enjoyed hearing Emma as the voice of the heroine. Her voice was soft but could be firm when needed which is what I thought Bailey’s voice would be when I read the book. Joe Arden did a great job as being the voice of Kash. His voice was powerful but softened when around Bailey. Their narration of the book made me not want to stop it any time.

I am addicted to Tijan mafia books. This audio was good. I enjoyed listening to this story. The narrator did a good job keeping me engaged in the story. There was twist, turns and unpredictable thing in this one that had me wanting more.

I had no idea where this story was headed the twist and turns had me all over the place. I enjoyed the tension and attraction between Kai and Riley. I enjoyed this book and would love to get more of this family.

I enjoyed this Mafia story of Tijan as much as her other books. Benjamin Charles and Holly Warren did a great job of narrating this story. They both kept the story moving and flowing well.
Jonah Bennett was in the business of saving lives not his family business but that changed the day he watched his fiancée get gunned down right in front of him. Since someone targeted Jonah he has to decide if he is going to keep avoiding the protection of his family or accept who he is and embrace the family. This one had my emotions all over with the suspense and ups and downs.
If you like suspense and action-packed story this is a great one. The connection and chemistry between Jonah and Carson were great. I also liked reading about the Bennett family especially Kai and Brooke. I will be going back and reading about Kai. I truly need more of this family.
