I received this book from the author for an honest review.

Oh man was I ready to get to know detective hottie AKA Claton and I totally expected him to be the hot and cold person in this relationship but boy was I wrong.  That man was in it from the start!!  Sheridan is a MESS!!  That girl has been through more in her life than most people and is living to tell about it.  Granted she is living a shallow existence out of fear but she thinks is strength until old Aquaman  *Snickers* forces his way into Slims life.

Clayton is your typical brooding alpha but he sees our star and is instantly drawn.  Sheridan is a famous actress and has scened with many celebrities but no one gives her the butterflies like Clayton.  When she needs help he is there to offer his strength annnnd a bit more.  Try has hard as Sheridan liked he broke down every single one of her walls and swam his way past her defenses….again the Aquaman references because they cracked me up in the book.

There is A LOT happening in this book…I mean a lot!!  Lots of side plots and bad guys, twists, turns,  the Russian Mafia and even some human trafficking L but the story is solid.  You think you might have this figured out and then we get a whole new level of “Oh crap” thrown at us.

I gotta tell ya I wanted to smack Sheridan a time or two but I think her sisters are a great touch stone for her.  I also loved seeing Rachel and Clayton bantering back and forth in the story.  But I am DYING…like for real death is imminent if I don’t know about Erik annnnnd Ryan.  Serious the need for these men to find an HEA is super strong!!!!

I bought this book after seeing this authors amazing list of Paranormal books when I was at an autor event.

Shifters plus MC…That is the Holy Grail for me.  I mean WHAT!!!  Yes those 2 genres are my favorite and probably the most read by me so…uhm…yeah..direct hit to my pocket book.

Rebel is the Alpha of his chapter of the Feral Breed MC.  He has a tight group of shifters who respect him even though he is a human turned vs natural born wolf.  When Blaze, the President and resident bad a$$ head of the NALB, ask Rebel to investigate a situation, you go.  Rebel is shocked to see his mate working in this dive bar/sex sop.

Cherry/Charlotte hates her job slinging drinks but she needs to pay her brothers tuition.  This is the only job that gives her enough money to do that along with provide food on the table.  When sex on a stick walks in and she is forced to be in a room with him, she is dying.  Not outta fear for the shifter but outta lust.

The couple are quickly throw into an even worse situation which causes the world around them to shift.  They gotta deal with the mating pull, the bad guys and the fact that ….uh…well…Charlotte doesn’t even know what the heck a wolf shifter is!

I totally loved this fresh look at the shifter/mate dynamic.  I loved that Charlotte stands her ground with Rebel.  She makes him earn her heart.

Hi my name is Dawn Brower and I have a problem…

um….This question is so hard. *taps foot* What do I say? Hmm. Let me see… I’m a mother. I have two teenage sons. The oldest is graduating this year. That’s scary stuff there. I can’t imagine him actually *gasp* adulting. I mean technically he is an adult but if you’re a mom you know what I mean. He has to figure some crap out and start making a life of his own now.

I live in one of the cold tundra states. I don’t particularly like it but I suck it up. The kids won’t be around much longer and once they’re gone maybe I’ll migrate south. Other than writing I work as a substitute teacher. It is what it is. The kids make it interesting.

What else do you want to know? I mean those are the basics. Work *check* Kids *check* location *check* I suppose you want something interesting… I’ve got nothing. I’m as boring as they come. *wink* Seriously though ask and I’ll endeavor to answer.

When and Why did you start to write?

In a way I suppose I’ve always written in some form. I used to enjoy it and even took a creative writing class in college. But I never took it seriously. It wasn’t until my step-sister dared me to write something that I did. that was over 3 years ago now. I’ve become addicted to it and I can’t stop. There are folders upon folders of ideas in my writer file on my computer. I have enough material to keep me busy for a while.

What authors do you always read or suggest to others?

I read everything and in every genre. Some of my favorite authors are: Johanna Lindsay, Illona Andrews, Gena Showalter, Kresley Cole, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Susan Elizabeth Phillips, Julia Quinn, Tessa Dare, Hailey Edwards, Rebekah Lewis, Jaci Burton, Eve Langlais, Lynn Kurland, Richelle Mead, Christina McKnight, Eloisa James, Lisa Kleypas.

Honestly I could name a ton more. Those up there though–auto buys. Love their work.

What is the most surprising thing you have found out with the writing process?

That I could do it. Seriously. Part of the reason I never tried was because I never believed I had the patience to tell a story properly. It’s a nice feeling to finish a rough draft and a crazy intense one when it’s released to the masses.

I also discovered I have a hard time sticking to one genre. That is why I flip from historical to contemporary and why the Linked Across Time series exists. It has all the things I love to explore in it.

What are you working on now?

I am working on edits for Spellbound by My Charmer: Linked Across Time 5 which releases on Valentine’s Day. After that it is edits on Stolen by My Knave: Linked Across Time 6 which is going into the Regency Ever After boxset first. Once edits are finished I’m diving into the next Heart’s Intent book followed by Linked Across Time 7. I’ll be busy busy writing and editing over the next several months.

When writing are you a pantser or plotter?

I am mostly a panster… I have a super basic outline to give me and idea of what direction I want to go in but what happens once I start writing is often a surprise to even me.

This is by far one of my favorite stories so far the twists were jaw dropping and gut wrenching. I cried for Livia and what she endured to save a life. My heart broke for Gray. I loved how protective Gray’s brothers were of him. I also loved Gray’s mother’s ability to forgive and love was amazing. I had so many emotions going on while reading this I cried, there was anger, there was surprise, and there was a few NO WAY didn’t see that coming AT ALL. I cannot wait to continue this series I want to learn more about these Colloway Brothers.

I picked this up as a freebie thinking this sounds like a good book that will be a quick read. Was I right this was a great quick read what I was not expecting was the amazing love story it was going to tell and the jaw dropping cliffhanger at the end.  If you do pick this up you will also want to get Forsaking Gray trust me you will be so sucked in by Gray and Livia you will want to know more.

Livia have a rough life her mother left her and her sister to deal with their alcoholic father. Livia worked at the pizza joint to make ends meet when her father failed. Little did she know her world was going to change when Gray walked through the door and sat in her section.

Gray knew there was something special about Livia when he first saw her knew she had to be his. He was persistent never gave up and finally broke Livia down and got her to agree to a date. After all Gray’s persistence and the best years of his life he asked Livia to be his wife. What happens next just floored me. I couldn’t figure out what went wrong why was this happening?

The chemistry between these two was off the charts. This was an amazing story I had to get Forsaking Gray and start it immediately I had to find out more about Gray and Livia. Great started to a series and way to hook me right from the start.
