They both have careers of their own. With Roscoe being a big musician and Ophelia working with animals, they focus on their jobs until something happens that calls both of them home.
Roscoe decides to take Ophelia on a little trip but of course, that doesn’t go as planned. She’s not used to being in the spot light or seeing the women fawn over the man she’s in love with, so it puts a damper on things and her feelings for him.
Together they fight the little issues that life throws at them but like all romance books that we love to devour, love conquers all!
I really enjoyed this book and could see the growth in JL’s writing. I understand that it’s been two years since she published a book but you can clearly see that she took some time to expand on her writing and story telling.

I want to start by saying if you have not read Vanishing Act- book 1 in the duet- its a MUST before starting this book.
Enduring Act picks up right where book one left off. Vanishing Act left me saying what the… what?!? Then I finished Enduring act over a week ago and my mind is still reeling. The duet was a complete mind cluck! *wink wink*
I don’t want to go into detail about this book because it would ruin the experience for others. But I will say that the storyline is very unique and the twisted tale the author has woven had me enraptured until the very last word. If you love a book that sucks you in and keeps you up well into the night because answers are more important than sleep– then this duet is one you are definitely going to want to read.

This is the 2nd book of The Survivor Duet. I am going to say if you haven’t read book one you need to STOP and read it first. Also I am going to try and keep this as spoiler free as possible because…..If you haven’t read book 1, I don’t want to ruin the plot twist of it.
Brooke wakes up in the hospital and is very confused. Her doctor, Blake, and nurse, Donna, are both very attentive to her. They are both trying to help her understand what she remembered and what she lived through in book one vs what is happening in book 2….see that is where the plot twists comes into play people!!
Brooke is married to DOUCHE BAG Warren when she finally makes a break for it after Warren is classic Warren. With Donna’s help and a few ladies at Emily’s house, she leaves her past behind. She and Dr. Blake seem to hit it off and with the encouragement, on both sides, by Donna they begin to see each other.
Dr. Blake is seriously Book Boy Friend Material. He says and does the right things and supports Brooke while she is trying to figure out her own life. Even though Blake’s brother, Cal, likes to rile his brother up in regard to his feelings for Brooke. The way Blake is with Ava is heart stealing. The way Blake understands and encourages Brooke is perfection.
I loved the dramatic ending and the epilogue makes all romance readers swoon. I seriously hope Cal gets a book because he was a great scene stealer.

I received a copy of this book from the author. This is my honest review.Fletcher is the lead singer for an up-and-coming band called Chaos. They’ve been playing at dive bars but now they are headed to a MUCH bigger venue and Fletcher’s nerves are through the roof.
Dallas has a bit of a checkered past. Now he is working for his dad as a roadie. The 2 meet and become instant friends but its hard to deny there is a little more to their “relationship” than just being friends. The question is- are either of them actually willing to admit it?
Throughout the book the reader gets to know these 2 men; their strengths, weaknesses, fears, and desires. The book was oh-so-good and definitely bingeworthy. I really feel like I need a nice, long, cold shower to cool off from all the hotness within these pages. Oh. My! There is definitely no denying the chemistry between these 2 men.
This was my first read by this author but definitely not my last. I’m looking forward to getting my hands on more of her words. Strung Tight is book 1 in the Rocktoberfest series. A series by 7 different authors about 7 different bands on their way to Nevada for a music festival called Rocktoberfest. It definitely set the bar high for the next 6 books. With that being said, I cannot wait to dive into book 2
