#review #partofaseries Cooper (Station 47 2) by Heather Lyn

Cooper

By day I’m fighting fires and saving lives with my brothers at the station, and by night I’m slinging drinks at our family bar with my blood brothers.
I was happy, but I couldn’t help wanting more.
When I stumble across the stunning redhead and her little boy, it’s like everything I was searching for just appeared in front of me.
When an apartment fire takes everything she’s ever worked for, I can’t help offering my home to her and that chubby faced toddler.
Soon enough, they’re not just living in my home, but now they’re permanent residents of my heart.
And if I have it my way, they’ll never go anywhere for the rest of our lives.

Haley

I never planned to be a single mom, but Roman is the absolute love of my life and the best thing that ever happened to me.
When I moved to Nashville for a fresh start, I never could have dreamed what was heading our way.
When the firefighter with a heart of gold steps in to help me and my boy, I vow to find some way to repay him.
I just never imagined I would end up giving him my heart.
I soon find myself imagining a life I never saw for us… a happily ever after.
But after years of never being enough or wanted by someone, can I trust that he really wants us forever?

i was given this book by the author for an honest review

Haley is a single mama to a cute little boy, living on her own after just moving to Nashville after finding herself pregnant and her parents kicking her out of the house. the only person she ever had in her corner was her older brother Jensen, who is in the military to do anything he can to help his sister and his nephew with anything they might need. When Roman is getting his molars and can’t get any form of relief, Haley is exhausted and while he’s screaming in the store while trying to get a few items Haley finds a tall good-looking stranger coming up behind her asking if he could try to help her little guy. Cooper grabbed some frozen waffles, and it was the best sound Haley ever heard Roman was finally calming down. When Cooper turned that corner at the store he was hit by a ton of bricks, and he was needing to get to know this woman and her son, he can’t stop thinking about them at all. When the Station gets a fire call at Haley’s apartment complex, Cooper is now in a panic until he sees them and knows they are safe, but they are now going to be staying together while Haley gets back on her feet, but once that happens will Haley or Roman want to leave the comfort of Coopers house, or will he chip away at all the walls that she has put up to protect her heart so what happens in her past didn’t affect her life now. OMG these dang firemen are smoking, hawt and ugh I’m needing this station too be real. another great story and I need the next one. but these cliffhangers are torture in the best way.

Cora has found herself living back at home with her parents and five of her nine siblings so when her best friend gets the chicken pox Cora jumps at the chance to go to Hawaii in her friends place as long as she as paid half of the total from the trip, and she didn’t think twice about it. Lots of first for Cora first airplane flight, and so much more, but one thing Cora wasn’t expecting to find on this trip was a rude butthole of a guy who she got stuck with as her seat mate on the trip now she has to deal with him more then she wanted to, but once he starts pulling some of his layers away, will she be able to get over how rude he had been to her before she knew him or will his attitude be what ruins her once in a lifetime trip. this is the perfect story for the saying don’t judge a book by its cover. it was a very cute story

holy moly where do i begin, there are a few fires that defiantly needed to be put out while reading this book. Grayson a very good-looking firefighter in Nashville is bachelor living his best life and is a well-known manwhore in the station. but he fights fires, saves as many lives as he and his brothers can, so why he has one-night stands with no strings attached. one morning he had a knock on his door from his neighbors very blunt younger sister telling him how big of an ass he really is. and since that very moment he got a good look at his neighbor he hasn’t been the same. Skye was a single mom to her teenage sister when she got guarding ship of her after their parents died in a car accident. that night changed both of their lives forever and as much as she can’t take it most days, she wouldn’t trade it for the world. now she’s doing hair in a solan with her new gal pals, and she’s actually happy, but one thing Skye didn’t want to feel was something for her manwhore of a neighbor. will Grayson be able to control his hose, and rumor has it magical tongue to let Skye in or will Skye just have to continue to listen to his life saving skills through the walls of their apartments. OMG this book was amazing, I flew through this book and i haven’t done that in a long time I can’t wait to meet the rest of these smoking hot fireman from station 47.

#review #shortstory #partofaseries Dear Baby Daddy (Matchmakers Series) by Alexis Adaire

After years of playing the field, I’m finally ready to settle down. Rather than waste time with the endless aggravation and frustration of dating, I decide to go through the What The Heart Wants matchmaking service.

When the matchmaker pairs me with Scarlett, I’m more than intrigued. She’s smart as hell and incredibly sexy, but too many cheating boyfriends have left her with a singular focus: getting pregnant and raising a child on her own.

I may want a wife and family, but being an absentee baby daddy is a whole different story. Too bad Scarlett is more interested in her pregnancy project than in falling in love.

So now I’m in trouble. I’ve been matched with someone who wants my ability to father a child more than she wants me. And yet I still can’t seem to get her out of my mind.

Valentine’s Day comes once a year, but the Amazon best-selling authors who brought you #ResolutionPact are back at it, and their new The Matchmaker Series is more perfect than a dozen roses! Skip the box of chocolates — it’s time to devour FIFTEEN sweet, sexy, steamy, stand-alone stories set in a shared world.

Scarlett sent a letter to a matchmaker but not in hopes of finding a forever love but just to find a sperm donor, without shots, appointments, and everything else that involves a sperm bank. Grace thinks she has the guy for the job and hopes to change Scarletts mind with her views of men in general, and that not all guys are cheaters.

Author Alexis Adaire is a master of scorching-hot romance writing that features strong, intelligent women and breathtakingly sexy men.

Living in the Pacific Northwest, Alexis spends her time indoors wrapped in a blanket at her computer, only emerging periodically to refill her coffee mug. Alexis delights in taking her readers to those unspeakable corners of their fantasies they may not even know exist.

Last week I received my invitation to The Ivy Institute to train with all the others like me or so I’m told, my father got greedy and used me as his cash cow. I was almost unstoppable so when I got my invitation I was dreading it. al the Ivy Institute we were the elite from witches, vampires, shifters, healers and almost any kind of supernatural being you could think of now I was one of them, at my new home where I hope I would learn about my powers and hopefully survive. in a new place where I’m granted privacy and respect, I’m not sure what to do with it but I’m hoping they too aren’t taking advantage of me. this was a great read it started out a little slower for me, but I had just finished a different genre, so it took me a while to get into it but once it picked up for me it was fantastic as usual.

Albany lives in Michigan where she’s happily married to her high school sweetheart. She spends most of her time juggling her four children’s extracurricular activities, with her nose stuck in a book. When not reading you can find her writing her very own book boyfriends. Albany’s passion is writing romance with real characters that are far from perfect, but always seem to find their own happily ever afters.

Small towns don’t always allow you to run away from your past or problems like most think they will. Declan was one of those people after resigning from his job after his brother got killed, Magnolia Grove was his fresh start or so he thought. Til he was confronted by his new neighbor yelling at him to quiet down and let her relax. Judging a book by the cover Declan thought Ayla was just a normal small-town woman relaxing at home next to the pool while her husband brings home the paycheck for her to spend. Fact Ayla is the town dentist after graduating from dental school and her dad handing the practice over to her, but Ayla had one day a week off from work where she can relax and decompress, and the rest of the neighbors knew that, so they respected her quiet. Declan wanted to keep his past pushed down but Ayla wasn’t one to let that happen, she was going to keep pushing to knock those walls down or will Declan keep adding brick by brick to those walls. will Ayla be the key to help Declan through his past trauma or will it cause him to self-destruct. omg this was such a great read, and I couldn’t put it down, the mystery behind it while the small-town love perfect combination

Jade came home for a vacation from her advertising job or at least that’s what her family thinks, is the reason shes home. actually her life is down teh drain, her fiance used their condo to ahve afterhours meetings with his assistant alone and no clothes, and she lost her job. but while shes home she needs to fake that everything is fine and she is so happy at work and she just needed to come home to help the family out at the restaurant while her dad is in the hospital, but honestly thats all she has going for her right now. one thing she didnt want to have going for her was finding the body of the delivery driver dead in the garbage area behind the restaurant. Now not only was she in the middle of her own crisis of life she found herself in the middle of a murder investigation, because she found the body. How will Jade over come this to get her life back together all with the unknown help of her family members, friends oh and 1 ex boyfriend who happens to be the lead dectitive on the case. oh this book was so good, Mr. Lee will have you laughing out loud, cant wait to read the rest of this series.

Best-selling author Nicolette Pierce started out as a daydreamer. Truly, she could never be a teacher’s pet due to the number of times she had to be scolded to pay attention. When she received an assignment to write a story, suddenly life made sense.

Nicolette daydreams in Wisconsin with her husband and son. In her free time, she adores finding treasures for her little free library, annoying her family, and finding unique places to vacation. Her husband still won’t forgive her for having to sleep surrounded by camel dung. She’s not sorry.

The three things that are consistant in her work: 1) A mystery. 2) A woman trying to get through life without injury. 3) A hot guy looking to be a hero. Level of heat depends on the hero. A couple of them are quite naughty. Level of hilarity is from ha-ha to ROFL.

#WOTR24 #SeriesStarter – Pretty Remarkable, Pine Village Book #.5 by Lacey Black

Blair

Returning home for the holidays after fifteen years is difficult enough without getting stuck in the snow.

When my best friend calls her brother to help, things take a turn from very frustrating to very complicated. I haven’t seen Gabe Rhodes since I was younger. He’s a little grumpier than I remember, and way hotter too.

He offers me shelter from the storm—the only problem…one bed.

Gabe

I would do anything for my sister, including rescue her friend after a long workday. However, the woman I find stranded in the snow is not the Blair O’Connor I remember.

She’s all grown up and I can’t look away from her gorgeous green eyes. The chemistry between us is electrifying. I bring her home to wait for the roads to clear— but it’s my head I need to clear. I tell myself to keep my hands to myself, she’s just passing through.

I was the perfect gentleman…until she comes walking down the stairs in the middle of the night wearing my shirt.

I grabbed this book of Amazon when the author shared it was free.

Honestly if you haven’t read a Lacy book, I wanna know why?  But anyway.  This is a great short introduction to her writing and the characters of the novella series starter.  You get a great look at her style and character building for the series.

I loved it and jumped into the full book right away.

Avid reader, writer, mother, and wife! I love to read contemporary romance. Add in a little “spice” or hot guys in uniform pants, and I’m a happy woman. There’s just something about diving into a book and engrossing in the magic of your hero and heroine getting their happily ever after.
