I purchased this audio book.

I grabbed this book because it checked off all my boxes…Vampires and RH being 2 of my biggest.  Since I listened to the audio I am not 100% sure on the spelling of the characters names.

First up I loved me some Piper.  She was not going to sit and listen to this “men” tell her what to do and treat her so rudely.  She spoke her mind even IF she was getting into trouble for it.

The “men” she was taking care of were very arrogant, sexy, annoying, sexy, rude, sexy…do you get what I am saying?  LOL  She struggles a lot with keeping her thoughts pure especially when it comes to Wen and then Drake and then Raine and then….ok yeah all of them at some point.

As the book goes on Piper discovers the “men” are actually vampires.  She is initially freaked a bit but then realized they aren’t so bad right?  When she is thrust into the Vampire world and kinda war, we see Piper flounder but one of the guy is there to help her.  Unfortunately that night causes trouble for your girl which we will learn about in book 2 as this does end in a cliffhanger.

I was absolutely in love with Piper and her stubborn personality. I have to say I really enjoyed Drake the most of the brothers but Wen had giving a sideways look.  I cant wait to see more about Master Durand and the blood bond he has with the butler.

This book had me totally enthralled and not wanting to stop listening.

Havenfall was never just a job to me, and that was before I knew I was mated to two powerful supernaturals. I’m settling into my new life, but our problems haven’t disappeared with my acceptance. In fact, they may be far bigger than we ever imagined.

Classes are in session, but something is wrong within the walls of the school. Kids have gone missing, and it seems a trusted member of the staff may be behind the troubles plaguing the academy.

Welcome to Havenfall Harbor, home for wayward and orphaned supernaturals, where more than just the students bite.

As the temperature rise and gets spicey for Quinn who finds herself on a relationship with a polar bear and a vampire one of those just so happen to be her boss. Quinn wants to learn more about her new job working with supernatural kids. When one of the kids that ends up hurting her and leaving her for dead disappears from her punishment Griffin and Evan are on full alert not taking any chances on something happening to Quinn their mate and will protect her at all costs. Will Quinn be able to deal with her job and overly protected mates or will it be too much and have her running for the hills and never looking back. Ugh i loved this story, world, and characters, who knew a vampire and polar bear best friend was a match made in why choose heaven.

#review #supernatural Havenfall Habor (Havenfall 1) by Albany Walker

Havenfall Harbor

Home for wayward and orphaned supernaturals.

Bridging the gap between supernaturals and humans is my only goal, or so I thought. Keeping myself alive and out of trouble is proving harder than expected.

Getting a job as the first human liaison at Havenfall was a dream come true, until I realize it’s not just humans that don’t want the species mixing.

Someone doesn’t want me a here, and they aren’t making it a secret that they will do just about anything to make sure I don’t stick around.

Seems like I have a few things to teach them about underestimating my determination.

Welcome to Havenfall where not just the students bite.

Quinn Shaw’s life was flipped upside down when she found out that supernatural beings walked among them. but that was the past and now she was just hired to work at Havenfalls Habor as their human liaison. Havenfalls Habor was a home for supernatural children and her job was to now bridge the gap between them and humans, but some people don’t want that to happen. Will Quinn be able to handle her new job? Being the only human in a place with so many that are trying to intimidate her. Or is she going to find some friends and a possible love out of this life changing choice. I’m so glad that i finally got around to reading this book, Albany knows how to pull you in and make you feel and focus on all her words.

Review by Twinsie Angie

I was given this book by the author for an honest review.

I am a big fan of this series.  I have loved how Teresa keeps the series fresh by adding new elements IE Witches, demons, etc to the overall arc of the plot.  Its not like Supernatural where they were just constantly saving the planet…get me?

We met Jake a few books ago when he was happily getting married/mated to Tracy, the love of his life and mate.  When she was murdered, on their wedding day, I was like “Aint no coming back from that” only to discover there is a story for Jake.

Jessie we just met a book or so ago.  She is Mitch’s niece.  We all love Mitch for the bossy boss of Nicole who runs the social agency helping orphaned children.  Jessie has seen Jake a time or two and is thankful he has saved her when she seemed to find trouble.  She is also understanding about the loss she knows Jake has had with Tracy.  However, she just FEELS something when he is around but certainly, he doesn’t feel that way….right???

I loved this story brings in another villain for the over all story named Gello not to be confused with Jell-O like Steve thinks. LOL  Oh Steve.  We also see a story for Daniel being percolated along with Jill’s storyline.  I am so loving that totally. I want to know what is happening in Teresa’s mind.

What I didn’t love, not that I didn’t love the story was….I missed Jake and Jessie.  Yes, they were in the story but I felt like their story was a secondary plot point.  I also felt this way about Ryker and Susan.  We saw both couples dancing around each other and then boom one chapter they are in love.    I know there are many more couples and story lines to keep up with, but I miss the original books where the couple seemed more front and center vs a side story.

Will I continue the series?  ABSOLUTELY!!  It’s a great series with amazing plot twists and turns.  The story never gets old and keeps you entertained 110%.

Review by Twinsie Melinda

I was given this book by the author for an honest review.

This series is one I can read over and over. Jake has now been added to the list as a reread. I really like how this book is building up to something big. I’m not sure how this world is going to end but with the warriors and Guardians you know it is going to be epic.

Jake has so much healing to do after losing the woman he loved on their wedding day. When he realizes Jessie is his mate he struggles with the loss of Tracy and knowing Jesse is his mate.

Jessie is Mitch’s niece and an amazing dancer. She is strong willed and a bit witty a perfect mate for our newest Warrior Jake.

There was a lot going on in the book. We see Jake and Jessie grow closer together and learn about one another. We see Jill deal with everything changing for her being a half-breed and not being released back into rotation. Being Sloan’s errand girl is not what she signed up for which forces her to make some hard decisions. There are the demons that are plotting to take out heir biggest threat and the Warriors youngest member.

I have to say I absolutely fell in love with king in this book. I loved everything about him at the dance competition he had me in stitches. I cannot wait to see what is in store for the Warriors and Guardians in the upcoming books. I know I will not be disappointed and will be on the edge of my seat like always.

I purchased the audio book. (combined with Bishop’s book)

What a great addition to this series.  This short read doesn’t focus on one couple but instead the entire cast. This does move the series forward and give us some additional insight into the Protectors, Mates and their families.

I love how the Mates try to get the guys in the Christmas spirit. As always the guys may think they run things but we all know it is the mates that run the show. This was a fun little quick read that lead into Bishop and Bonnie.

OK Look.  I love Sophie.  Period.  End of Story.  I absolutely adore all of her books from her novellas to her long novels.  I also love her other pen name for the same reasons…her books are full of hope, promise, and love.  Her books vibe is much like her personal vibe.  Meet her and you will love her even more like I do.

Ok this book was so stinking fun.  A vampire, Ed, is totally not doing a good job hiding the fact he is a vampire according to his work mate, Juniper who he also mega crushes on.

Juniper and Ed are tap dancing around their feelings fearing the other will reject them because she isn’t young and stick thin or he isn’t HUMAN.  When they have a casual conversation, he turns jealous.  He needs her in his life but how.  Juniper is annoyed with her friend, and mad of her dreams, wont trust her with anything.

When the place they work is robbed they both had to share some things that make everything between then muuuuch better *Wink*  Again this was such a fun and sexy novella.  Its everything you need and want for a quick hour long read.

Review by Twinsie Kelly

The Dodgers should eat magical turnips to win. There, I said it! LOL! (go ahead and read it to find out why, I dare you)

Psychics that are allergic to the sun and vegan vampires….what a pair! Wait, I think I got that mixed up, or did I? Clara and Damien are quite the improbable pair. These two are literally the exact opposite of each other. They are brought into the world of the Delta Underground Operatives and are put on a special mission as the newest assassin duo. The way these two get along is great. In true Sarah Noffke fashion, these two are witty, sarcastic, and aren’t afraid to throw a punch either. The banter is hilarious but will also ground you as they become closer. Awwwww! I think they like each other! Whoa! Maybe not…. Jk!

These two are presented with an impossible mission with little training but come together as a force to be reckoned with. I couldn’t stop turning the pages and ABSOLUTELY need more. I am incredibly happy that Sarah continues to write books for me! 😊

Review by Twinsie Angie

I was given this book for an honest review.

Man this storyline has been BUILDING from Ryker to the Thanksgiving novella and now it comes to a head in this novella.

Adam and Angelina have been through so much to be together and they seem to be stumbling with so much self-doubt.  Angelina thinks she isn’t enough for Adam anymore while Adam has his own demons causing doubt.

When Angelina makes a stand to decides to make her life something no matter if Adam is in it or night, she finds a skill and talent she is proud of.  She makes a big bold move to help the Warriors and makes Adam even more proud of his Angel.

Adam is devastated and angry at the loss of his mate.  He knows its his issue but is afraid of facing his fears and giving name to it.  With a little tough love from Daniel, Tessa and even Sloan, our warriors finds the strength and determination he needs.

I loved these two and the new storyline.  They have been through so much that it makes me happy seeing them grow up together.  They met and fell in love young but now are not kids anymore,  They are adults who need identities beyond being “so and so’s girlfriend/boyfriend/husband/wife”.

But can I say, the bomb that we get with Jake and Jessie from Raven…woof.  I am ready for this story line and next book for sure!!!  It is going to be a killer.

I am absolutely loving these holiday novellas Teresa is giving us.  They are a fun way to meet new characters (Jessie, King, and Butch), meet up with old characters (Dillion) and possible new love connections (Jake and Jessie)….HRMMMM

They are always moving our story line along plus getting us even more invested in the next story coming out which happens to be Adam and Angelina.  Guys, my heart is breaking with these two.  They fought so long and hard to be together….but doubts can be a bish to your soul.

I love the fact we might be seeing Sloan’s heart melting????  WHAT!!! I feel like maybe there could be a new little face in the VC mix and I am here for it!!!!

But what I loved the most was seeing my favorite characters all coming together to celebrate the kids…all kids….and helping their family member, Nicole, do what she does best.  Charity events for the kids.
