Throughout this installment the world building is incredible. From the way everything is described you can smell autumn in the air. And the characters! They are all very different but so very likable. I could almost pair each of them with someone I know in my life. This is a quick, fast paced read with an incredible start for this series! I’m hooked!

If you don’t believe in supernatural beings or witchy things, this might change your mind. I am loving Black Magic Voodoo and am looking forward to continuing the saga!

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

I know I saw this every time I read a paranormal but It’s my JAM!!!  I love love love me some paranormal.  I love shifters, vampires, demons, angels, and all the possible additions to a storyline.  This book, which is a spin off series, was just what I needed and loved.

I am going to start by saying I have NOT read the Eternally Mated series.  However, I will be rectifying that soon.  I did not feel I missed anything or was lost at any point of the story.  I think the storyline was filled in during this book about what happened in the other series.  SHEW right!!!!

So this book is taking place during the end of the world essentially.  Ryder and his group of Navy Seals are set to protect the last few remaining humans to help repopulate the world after The Red Death has destroyed everyone. He is one of the original vampires and he has turned a few of his trusted men into vampires to help get the job done.  He only asks that females who do stay with them, help feed his men to keep them alive.  Pretty decent trade off…surviving death for a few sips of your blood right???

Ryder is getting ready to leave when a sassy, pink haired beauty who is also a pain in his ass shows up and informs him he needs to protect her.  Seems Ryder and her dad were Navy buddies.  From the start of Kayla and Ryder meeting, the sparks and chemistry sizzle!!  I mean they are so hilariously attracted and annoyed by the other it makes for great reading.

Kayla has lost everyone and is bound and determined to make it to this Ryder guy for protection.  She surely did not plan on the attraction to the alpha male and his over the top protection of her.

Kayla and Ryder plus another couple soon find a strange mark that they have no clue what it means.  Kayla and another soon find out they too have another secret about why they have survived the Red Death when everyone else has died.

On top of all the couple drama, we are dealing with rogue vampires, gross looking demons running amuck annnnd the portal to hell being opened to rid the Earth of humans in general….Yup LOTS happening in the story!!!

I can not wait to read the next story but I will be trying to get the other 6 books of the other series read ASAP too.

Omg, so we were introduced to Viktor and his brother Bishop in  our favorite funny man Steve’s book Invisible Warrior.  They were a new type of warrior to us as they are witch hunters.  I was really bad about judging a book by his cover, no pun intended, with Viktor.  He looks like a rough and ready to rumble warrior not a warrior who would enjoy the finer things in life and yet that is exactly where we see him in the opening seen dining at a posh Italian restaurant. It’s also where he meets Lacey for the first time.

Lacey is a awesome addition to the females of the Warriors this girl is loyal, a hard worker, and ain’t afraid to tell it like it is.  When we first meet her she has meeting a fake vampire to interview him for, wait for it because it is soooooo worth it, her paranormal romance novel!!!!  

Viktor and Lacey are great together, watching them find their way is awesome.  Not only has Gabelman given us a new group of baddies with the demons that she introduced in Nicole: the Mates series book 1, in the book she has introduced us to another new type of warrior in The Dark Guardians.  I am crossing everything I got that Charger the Dark Guardian, get his own book because, he gonna be a HOT one!!!!

So, Gabelman has done it once again by giving us a love story with bite!!! LOL, no really we have witches, demons, possessed vamps, new love, fights, and one of our favorite people is in serious trouble.  I was on pins and needles with this one and I can’t wait to see what is next.

I can’t say anything more without spoiling it, however you have to read this book!!  If you are a fan of Gabelman’s you will not be disappointed in Viktor!!!

Look out VC Warriors the Warriorettes are coming!!!! Lol!!!

Nicole is the first book in the VC Warrior Mates series and oh boy these ladies  love their alpha mates, but they aren’t taking it anymore!!!

Nicole heads back to work for Mitch are Social Services, without talking to Damon about it; hee, hee, hee, and does she have a doozy of a first day back.

First off I absolutely love that we are going to get more Warriors. Secondly, that we are going to get more from the women’s POV now that they have mated their men it’s going to be great.  If you have read the VC Warrior series you know that the Warriors are all alpha males that do not want their mates hurt in any way and they will say and do anything to keep it that way no matter how caveman it may seem.

Also, we know that these women are all very strong women; they also knew how their men were when they mated them, but no couple stays the same you either grow or crumble under the pressure and THAT is what we are going to see in this series.

Who will grow? Who will crumble? Please baby Jesus no one crumble, we will have to just see.

Our favorite Warriors and now Warriorettes have a new enemy too, one that we have never seen from Gabelman before and I think that it’s going be epic.

I can’t wait to see where we go next and fingers crossed none of our favorite couples crumble, don’t worry though if Jill and Slade crumble I’ll be there to console him. LOL

Dean Frye  is a vampire that no longer wishes to be one.  He feels he has seen and done all that he can and wishes to be free from his immortal prison.   Castel is his half-breed friend/employee that he had procure a genie lamp, Reed is a human employee/friend that has the jokes, is always a hair away from getting his self killed with his mouth and they all live together.

Janelle is a genie that hates being a genie, has served thousands of masters, and now her Master is the hottie Dean.

Ok, first off all I can think is Teresa needs to add a character named Sam to go along with Dean and Castel, because Hello Supernatural!!! Lol!!!  Second, one look at Janelle has Dean changing his mind about no longer being immortal, love love at first sight and third its is always great when the hero/heroine have something in common and these two hated their lot in life finding each other changes things.

Vampire’s Genie is a short little read with lots of humor, a few vamps, and more than one genie.

If you are looking for something light after a heavy read than this one might be for you.

Taz and Leda! One of my favorite couples! This story is full of suspense, drama and intense passion (sexual and non-sexual). This one hits home with me a bit as I see a lot of myself in Leda. She wants to do what is right, she believes it is her fight alone, and doesn’t ask anyone for help. She has become a strong woman and has decided it is time to avenge her family and help her family’s pack. The pack that is rightfully hers. As she goes out on this quest of hers she runs into a couple of familiar faces from her past. In the meantime while she is trying to get a plan together to go after her uncle, Taz has sought out Steve from the VC Warriors to help him find Leda. The dynamic between Taz and Steve is snarky and witty. These two are freaking hilarious! As the story unfolds we find out so much about Leda’s past and what has been recently going on with her family’s pack. We find out the truth about just how terrible and evil her uncle really is. She also finds out that blood doesn’t always mean family. She has Taz and Steve at her back as well as the Lee County Wolves and VC Warriors. I am so incredibly happy that Taz and Leda can address the chemistry between themselves. But Taz has to look out because when everyone else catches wind of him and Leda the guys all come forward to give him a hard time. And the dynamic between Taz and Sam is super heartwarming. By the end of the book Leda really understands what it is to have and be part of a true family. There are so many ups and downs in the story that you can’t help but keep turning the pages. I am looking forward to more of the Lee County Wolves!!

We have all been at a point in our life where we just need to get away from it all. Kaz decides to go to a popular destination-planet to relax and unwind. This place just sucks! Literally and figuratively. She is at a spring break type of place and she is kidnapped and taken to the other side of the planet that no one goes to just for fun. She is placed in the dungeon and is fed on by a monster. She is finally freed by King Rune and his way of apologizing is to have her spend her vacation at his palace. Rune has been brought back to life after 1000 years of being gone to find that his home has been run into the ground. The two of them have a lot of inner conflict within themselves and are so different from the other. But opposites attract and the two of the complement each other so well. The only thing is that they both have to be honest with each other and once the honesty is let out will they be able to be together? There is a ton of craziness happening at the palace when Rune hosts a ball of sorts. There is a death and kidnapping. Kaz finds herself in the middle of another mess and when the bad guy is figured out…..well lets just say oh holy hell because I so didn’t see this coming. I knew there was something fishy going on but when the twist unravels, it’s epic!!!! Blood King pulls you into the story and is the type of story that will constantly have you trying to guess what the hell is going on. And when the bread crumbs finally fell into place I was speechless! The sexy king will have you rooting for him and seeing how Kaz’s wittiness and no nonsense attitude brings him out of his shell will make you fall in love with this story. Well done, Ava Cuvay! Bravo!!!!

Vampires! Yes! It’s so hard to take a vampire story and make it unique. I often find that there is a lot of monotony with them. But this is hardly the case for the Blood Courtesans. In this world vampires are real and out in the open. They are normal people like you and me but they drink blood…maybe they are not what you consider completely normal, lol! Neriza is our female lead in Refrain. She lost her parents in a horrible car accident and this accident has left her sister paralyzed. She tries to do this quietly as her uncle doesn’t agree with vampires paying for blood. Basically she gets rented for sex and blood. She has a unique quality about her that makes her a bit more valuable and she is accepted right away. She is essentially “rented” by Lyric (through his assistant) so that she can go on tour with the band and keep him sustained. Lyric happens to be the lead singer of the band Crimson Rivers, also her childhood crush, also a total hottie with an accent! He wants her gone and gone ASAP! She can’t figure out why so she puts all of her effort into getting him to keep her so that she is not in trouble with the Madame at the agency. As these two are learning to work together she gets some terrible news and finds that her dad was in the middle of some shady dealings, and here is where the real fun begins. Neriza and Lyric do form a friendship and confide in each other about their pasts. As things heat up both of their pasts come to the present and we find that the world may not be as large as we all thought. I can’t give you ANY more of the story without giving away tons of spoilers. The intensity between Lyric and Neriza with the witty banter is enough to make you want to read the book. But all the crazy twists in between are what makes this story amazing!

I received this book from the publisher via NetGalley for an honest review.

I have not read the series that this book is a spin off for I guess I should say right off the start.  I have seen the other series and thought YES but it’s so deep in and I just don’t have the time to dedicate to starting a new series so when this happened I jumped.  I didn’t have any real trouble understanding storyline information from the other series.  I think the author did a great job explaining issues during the story for people like me to get was happening.  But I love paranormal so I can just kinda roll with it and go.  Some people might not be able to just go with it.

Essentially this book is about Elisa and the fact of her birth being so crazy and supernatural….see she is the only VAMPIRE child to be born and born with magic too….see why I love paranormal???!!

Connor and Elisa have a very complicated and sorted relationship to say the least.  They have great banter in the book and it made me laugh a bit.  They also have great chemistry which makes for fun reading too.  Connor and Elisa have to figure out about themselves and what they want when what they are starts to show.  This makes everything a bit more interesting.

You know the saying “Save a horse, ride a cowboy”?  Well, if that cowboy happens to be a VC Warrior that’s even better and with Ronan that’s who you get, a vampire warrior cowboy!!!

Mira we met in Steve’s book, Invisible Warrior, she’s Kira’s sister. To recap they’ve been running all their lives from the evil Orjyll.  He wants the Dragonfly coven dead so that his powers can return.

Mira is scrappy, she fights the pull she feels for Ronan, but come on we know in the end no one can fight  love for long.  She also learns that she is more powerful than she ever knew.

We also get to see Ronan on his home turf, his ranch riding a horse!!!  Can you say yummy!!!! Lol!!!  

While the group is on the look out for Oyjyll, the mates are training to become warriors too and boy is there drama with that and our boy Jared.

That Teresa gives us Mira and Ronan’s story along with what is going on with the other Warrior’s is why she’s one of the best.  Yes, her readers want new stories, however we also want to know what is going on with some of our beloved characters, it’s the best of both worlds.
