#Review – The Wedding Agreement by Elizabeth Hayley

The Wedding Agreement (Strictly Business, #3)

synopsis

The author of Just Say Yes is back with another sweet and sultry Strictly Business novel about working hard and falling harder into an unexpected romance…

Love doesn’t always follow the same schedule…

Alex Walker doesn’t need a woman in his life. In fact, he doesn’t have time for one. Between his career in the FBI and the demands of being good father, romance is an unwanted distraction.

Likewise, Cassidy Mullen is fine on her own. The independent career woman has never had a husband in her plans—forget about kids. But when her friend Alex gets into a bind with his ex over their daughter, Cass finds herself suddenly playing the part of Alex’s stable, child-loving fiancée—and liking it a lot more than she’d care to admit.

Soon Alex and Cass can’t deny the real passion growing between them. But as fake affection turns into real love, Cass and Alex will have to make a choice: say “I Do” to their feelings or give up on happily-ever-after for good…

angies review

I received this book from publisher for an honest review.

This is the 3rd book in the series and as with all their books they crack me up.  Somehow I SEE Cass as both of the ladies who write these stories.

Cass and Alex have hooked up before casually and are both happy with the arrangement.  Neither is really looking for a “commitment”.  Alex is still pretty bitter after his divorce from his cheating ex-wife.  Cass never really saw marriage, family and all that as HER Lifestyle.  Doe she love kids, sure but she doesn’t want any kids.

Alex is not happy that his ex is going to be taking his daughter to her parents for the summer.  He knows that because of his job and being called away we doesn’t really have much help sooo what can he do but accept it.  When he does need a sitter in a pinch he calls his friend Cass to help.  Cass and Nina have a great time.  When the ex finds out that a STRANGER watched her daughter Cass, comes up with a simple lie…I am his fiancée.  How much trouble can it cause???  Cass tells Alex that this lie will help him keep his daughter over the summer and then she can go home in the fall and they will break up.  Alex agrees and so fake wedding planning begins.

With the planning of the wedding and wanting his ex to believe this is a legit marriage, Alex and Cass spend a lot of time together.  Pretty soon they are both feeling a little different toward their friend/fake fiancée.  Alex is beginning to miss spending time with Cass and Cass is beginning to realize that maybe she does want more…………

about the author

Elizabeth Hayley is actually “Elizabeth” and “Hayley,” two friends who love reading romance novels to obsessive levels. This mutual love prompted them to put their English degrees to good use by penning their own. The product is Pieces of Perfect, their debut novel. They learned a ton about one another through the process, like how they clearly share a brain and have a persistent need to text each other constantly (much to their husbands’ chagrin).

They live with their husbands and kids in a suburb of Philadelphia. Thankfully, their children are still too young to read.

Elizabeth Hayley’s writing motto is best captured by the words of Patrick Dennis: “I always start with a clean piece of paper and a dirty mind.”
