Sorina Theon was dancing her way through life without a thought in regards to the future; until her world came crashing down around her. All of her desires became nothing more than dust as she wakes up a year later within a body she does not recognize. Soon the government persuades her to join them as their own special assassin, they mold her into the perfect killing machine. Cold hearted and fierce. They thought they had created themselves the perfect tool…
They were wrong.
Gravvill Liason was nothing more than a puppet on a string. A soldier for the government, he had committed several sins that he regretted. None though hit him as hard as the day they ordered him to destroy the old order. Now a year later he only had one thing on his mind; fixing his mistakes. Which meant taking back the world he had destroyed. Why? It was simple, he wanted to see her smile – see her dance once again. To do that he needed to kill the puppet master…

An elaborate game with a formidable opponent.
The Red Assassin has left me wanting, no, needing more! I am finding that I love me some sci-fi and cyborgs!!! This story has the best of everything. There is a great back story for both main characters with intriguing world-building, but one of the best parts is the relationships between all of the characters. There is the right amount of sarcasm, strife, cynicism, and game playing. You will feel like you are right in the middle of this crazy cataclysm. There is a love story (actually, I think there could be a few with some of the back characters and I am super excited to see this progress!!) with the perfect amount of angst and sweetness, but nothing is way over the top.
Sorina was minding her own business then wakes up a year later with no memory and metal body parts. Talk about feeling “out of sorts”. Ultimately, she becomes an assassin for the government, but her morals come to the forefront when she realizes she enjoys killing and is good at it.
Gravvill is the soldier that saves her but also dooms her. He is made to train Sorina but also must keep his space. You’ll have to read it to see why. 😊
On top of all this craziness, there is an elaborate game being played between the “Director” and the “Deathly Hacker”. The back and forth between these two really add to the story. They literally have me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out who the Deathly Hacker is. When I thought I had it figured out, I was second guessing myself. I have no clue and still have no clue!
What I am trying to get at here is that this is a fantastic story by a wonderful author who has a new fan! I’m that fan! I highly recommend this one!
Being an introvert, Taki has always found it hard to fit in and make friends. Instead, she could be found playing make-believe games or dreaming about far away adventures. Believe it or not, it was not until fifth grade that she found her love for reading, the book that started it all was Harry Potter. From that point on she couldn’t get enough of books and by the time she hit sixth grade she started writing, starting at first with horrible fanfiction until finally coming up with her own stories. With that said, being raised around the trucking industry she has always had the ability to travel around the US and she has loved every minute of it. Every trip was an adventure and opened her eyes to the world around her. Now, as an adult, she has the drive to travel the world. There are so many places that she wishes to see. Until then though, she contents herself to traveling the worlds she has created within her books. At the moment, Taki can be found either writing about faraway places or reading a book. When doing neither she spends her time playing RPG games or spending time with her dogs Max and Copper or her Queen cat, Cleopatra.
