With all the action and the banter the story will keep you hooked! This is my first book this author and sure not to be the last. I have no idea where Mary Martel has been hiding, but I found you now! I am looking forward to the sequel!

Witch’s Mate is book 4 in the True Mates series and is about the Liam Henney, Alpha of a old and powerful family on the West Coast and Lara Chatraine a witch that is working with the New York Alpha against the mages.
These two are not new to each other, they’ve met before when rescuing her cousin from the mages that kidnapped her. They also had a hot elevator encounter at the Fenrir Corporation. It was so hot that neither can stop thinking of the other and thinking about Liam is something that Lara just can not have.
Lara is not just a witch, she is a blessed witch and blessed witches have great powers, but because being blessed is from the Goddess herself the must be balance and the balance is not being able to love. If she falls in love she then dreams of that loved ones death and then it happens. She fell in love before and the man was killed right in front of her and after the elevator episode she is scared that Liam could be someone that she could love and she doesn’t want to because she doesn’t want another good man to die. Since the elevator she is always on his mind even when he is back home in San Francisco. He knows that mages need to be stopped and if going to New York and helping Grant fight them also allows him to be with her, great.
Lara fights what she feels so hard, but you can only fight love and True Mates for so long. True Mates between a lycan and witch is practically unheard of, but fate has plans of her own and I believe that these 4 True Mate couples are going to be used for something major in the future and have a lycan/witch mated pair is going to be world changing.
So, we have a hot couple, a dangerous foe, a battle, another kidnapping, and several new characters. There also is hurt feeling in the name of love.
This book has it all and be prepared to yell at your reading device when they make you feel all the feels. I’m excited for the next book and cant wait to see who the next couple will be!!

Fate throws them together in the midst of an oncoming battle and Mack lets instinct take over and follows his heart.

When the truth comes out the mating instinct takes over and together Mack and Casey change the rules of shifter laws once again.

Shifters! Need I say more?! This is your must read shifter book! Some shifter stories seem to be along the same lines but this one goes beyond what we think we already know. These packs are different than what we all know. They are comprised of many different types of shifters/species. Many were hunted almost to extinction and have now come together to help their cause. There are many packs hiding in plain sight.

Casey has had a terrible childhood growing up in the foster system and being treated differently because of some of her heightened senses. She is living on the street but with the help of her friend she is taken care of. One night this all changes. She discovers that she is actually a shifter. She is taken in by the Black Mountain Pack. Little does she know she was once part of the pack…and another pack. She is the cause of an impending war with this other pack. She has to learn very quickly about what she is and how to handle this life that she didn’t know existed.

Mack is part of the Black Mountain Pack and has been looking for his long lost sister. But when he finds Casey they find out that they are not siblings but are destined to be mates. We also see the struggle he goes through to help her with her new found life.

Mack is a very fast paced, action packed, and HAWT book. This is the first book in the series and I have already begun to beg the author for the next. Anxiously waiting on pins and needles for the sequel. Check this out. You won’t be sorry.

So many demons…Luke is dealing with the truth about Ollie being a halfling, Hatter is dealing with his manic episodes, Sunny is dealing with trying to protect everyone, and Ollie is putting her pieces back together.

The story goes back and forth between Ollie’s and Sunny’s POV. You are totally immersed in this story. Ollie is struggling with deciding where she belongs. With her father, Hex, and the halflings or if she needs to go back to Fear University. The lesser evil, right? They are all faced with major decisions, they fight with themselves and their demons to do what is right.

The story is jam packed with…with everything. Action, love, and all around badassery. There are so many warring emotions that you can’t help but to feel like you are right in the middle.

The Fear University series is one of my favorites and the author did not disappoint with Monster Mine!

OMG, this year had so many good books!!! Since I forgot to do a top 5 in the middle of the year, here is my top 10 picks for the year.  I”ve got a little bit of everything from Anthologies to Mafia to BDSM to Paranormal to Contempary.  Some of my favorite authors make double appearances.  I’ve also got a few WOTR authors! Hope you enjoy my picks as much as I did. Now in no order my top 10….

Grant Anderson is the alpha billionaire of New York. He is trying to keep the lycan safe safe from the mages.
Francesca Muccino, to her family and friends, is one of the only female alphas to led a pack. She is New Jersey’s alpha, that is the New York packs neighbor, and she meets Grant by running into him literally like with her car, after he’s been drugged and kidnaped.
Though this is Grant and Frankie’s first meeting, it’s not the first time we are meeting her, we met her in book one when she saved Alynna from a group of catty women at her coming out ball.
Not only is Frankie the alpha for New Jersey, she along with her brothers, runs a Italian Restaurant that has been in her family for generations.
Even though they’ve never met Grant caught her scent the night of the ball and hasn’t stop thinking about the mysterious woman with the yummy smell.
In this story we not only have the mages trying to kill off the alpha, we also have a group of lycan working with them to try and take over New York. Oh, and we have a delusional female that thinks Grant is in love with her.
Frankie has major high walls around her heart where men are concerned and I have to say if I was in her place I’d say forget men and switch sides!! Lol, but seriously it takes hard work on Grant’s part to get her to see that he has real feelings for her.
Babies being born, surprise trips to Italy, hot alpha sex, kidnappings, killer mages, this book has it all and I can’t wait for the next one!!

Omg!! So book 2 picks up where book one ends, Alynna and Alex’s wedding.
Cady Gray is the Alpha’s Human Liaison, sort of like his executive assistant. They’ve known each other since they were kids because her father held that position for his father.
Nick Vrost is the beta of New York and head of security. These two have danced around each other for years. Nick has kept his distance because the alpha thinks of her as a sister and Cady because she didn’t think that Nick was interested.
One thing I found out in this book; True Mates are not only a rare thing but apparently a very magical thing that all magic beings feel.
Anyone can be a True Mate to a lycan, it doesn’t have to be two lycan.
So many things happen in this book. Witches are introduced further, we find out who was behind the attempts on Alynna life, we met Nick’s grandfather who gives him a ultimatum to find a wife and have children or he is going to be out of the will.
Oh, and Cady and Nick start dream walking!!
I think the struggle that Nick has to go through, of whether he follows his heart or listens to his grandfather is a tough one. I am so glad that I would never have to go through that.
Cady mother returns and it isn’t a happy return as she is a witch and witches and lycan do not get along. She also has given a ultimatum, that Cady will leave the employ of them or it will be forced. Her mom, is not a good woman, in fact why don’t we just call her a power hungry b***h. She works with a evil blood mage who is out to get the True Mates, because he hates lycan and because of the magic that makes a True Mated pair.
I love Cady and Nick when they are together, they’re so sweet. The chemistry between them is off the charts too!! There is a scene in the hotel during the blood moon wowza, that was a hot one!!!
I will say In the end Cady is a better woman that me because I would have made Nick grovel for at least a week.
Wanna know why he need to grovel??? Well I’m not telling, ya gotta read the book.
The next book is Grant, the New York alpha. Will he find is True Mate? Will he put a end to the evil Mage after the True Mated pairs? I can’t wait to find out!!

Ok, I love shifters and anytime I’m introduced to a new series I’m really happy. This new story doesn’t disappoint either!!
Alynna Chase is a 22 year old PI living in New York, when she out following a client one night her life changes forever.
Suddenly she is thrown into the life of shifters, little did she know she is one of them, and she is a important one at that.
Alynna finds out that what she thought about her not having a father was wrong, she has a brother who is the Alpha and she is the child of a True Mated pair.
In this world lycan can’t always have children, but if it is a True Mated Pair they will pregnant almost immediately. A True Mated Pair is rare, lycans go ahead and marry others, because of it. A child of this pair is truly rare.
Because she has just found out what she is and because she’s practically lycan royalty her. Alpha brother assigns a security detail to keep her safe until she is introduced to lycan society, one of those bodyguards is Alex Westbrooke.
He is also the reason she now because when she first met him is when she had her very first shift.
Ok so these two together, soooooo HOT. I mean just the scent of each other drives them wild!!
Though they are attracted to each other Alex can’t get over the fact that she is higher up the lycan ladder than him so he’s not good enough for her. They also have someone out there trying to kill her!!! It’s not a case off will they or won’t they, it’s a case of will they pull it together to last.
Every shifter story is different, some good some some not, this one is good and I can’t wait to see who’s behind the assassination attempts.

So it’s been a year since the actions in book 2. Jaz’s friend Rachel has been having a dry spell in the man department since she caught her last boyfriend cheating on her and is feeling lonely.
Gareth is a alpha bear looking to find his mate before his birthday, he also has been trying do deal with the murmuring of Power Shift in his pack.
Rachel decides to use the shifter mating app to find a hook up, while Gareth decides to use it to help find his mate.
When they are matched they  are attracted to each other right away.
Rachel tries to fight her growing feeling for Gareth, she doesn’t want to get hurt again, and Gareth knows from the moment that they meet that she is his mate.
It’s funny watching Rachel fight her feelings for the hunky bear and how Gareth tries to go slow so that he doesn’t scare off the lioness with the tower high walls.
Seeing that Power Shift is now growing and inserting itself into other species, makes me wonder who is really pulling the string of the movement. That they are not only concerned with the Lions staying within their species, but that they want bears to stay pure to bears and are willing to kill to make their point, is killing me!!
Hopefully we’ll find out more in the next book.

I love shifter stories and this new series is great.
We met Luke and Jasmine in book one, Luke is one of Max’s best friends and Jasmine is the sister of his other best friend Theo.
In this story we not only have interspecies dating, Luke is a wolf and Jaz is a lion, we also have a couple who have had feelings for each other but fighting it because of not wanting to hurting the best friend or brother’s feeling, and we have the Power Shift organization that wants no interspecies dating whether it’s human/shifter or shifter/shifter.
The love story between Luke and Jaz is the classic best friend’s little sister love story, but it is well written and with the shifter aspect added in its hot.
While giving Max’s app a shot Luke is paired with Jaz who he has wanted for a very long time. When Jaz finds out that they’ve been matched she’s crazy excited but nervous too because she has had feeling for him forever!!!
Their first date is soooooo romantic it’s crazy and made even more crazy when their attacked by Power Shift.
I wish there was more with the Power Shift aspect written in, I’m really wanting to know more about them, but that’s just me.
While waiting for Theo to come home from his honeymoon, they come to the conclusion that what they’ve been feeling and hiding is love and will be together no matter what.
This series is coming along great and I can’t wait to find out who will be the next coupled paired by the Shifter Dating App.
