I received this book from the author for an honest review.

I read Ekpen and had to read Torao.  I mean the little mini cliffhanger type ending had me in knots.  Ekpen and Holly are happy and now expecting so Torao signs up for a mate just so their youngest brother Leo can get married.  He is the main one who wants a mate, but the brothers suck it up for him.

Torao is shocked when his one-night stand is who walks off the ship to be his bride.  Unfortunately for Torao, Amena is not here for love.  She is here to find her missing friend, HOLLY, and escape back to Earth.

The couple have miscommunication when Torao things the secret she is hiding is one thing and he finds out the truth.  Amena is desperate to find her friend and worried their other friend left on Earth wil freakout she too is missing.

The story was another quick and sexy read about a desperate human and a sweet alien.  I am of course obsessed with what is up with Leo the youngest brother!!!

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

This is a new series by Sophie, and I was there for it.  I mean Ekpen and Holly were a great quick read.  Holly needs to get the hell off Earth and Ekpen is only getting married to help his brothers get their mates.  Both are not so happy but are doing what they need to do.

Holly and Ekpen have some issues with miscommunication initially but thanks to a little help from his brothers and parents they are able to open up.  Once he realizes how amazing Holly is and she sees he isn’t so grumpy all the time, they grow together as a couple.

I can’t wait to read his brothers book just by the way it ended with him knowing his bride!!!

I purchased this book and audiobook.

SO I have seen this book on Tiktoc and was like hrrmmmmmm.  I mean I like dark but dark scares me.  Anywho, I went to an author event, and she was there. Thankfully I had VIP so my wait was only 20 minutes.  I jumped up and bought the duet without really knowing what the book was about except the following: 1. Stalker 2. DubCon 3. Hella dark.  I pulled up my big girl panties and dove in.  Also because of the gigantic size of the book, I purchased the audio. LAWD Teddy’s voice was like butter.  *Fans self*  He totally brought Zade to life for my in the biggest way possible.  Since I am giving out compliments, I gotta say Michelle was perfectly vulnerable as Addie.  She was also very sassy bringing Addie to life as well.

So lets discuss all that is with this book. Remember I said it was dark.  Well I guess I expected it to be darker….now don’t go thinking this is hearts and flowers ya’ll because that it is not.  Its not ok in parts and there is absolute dark themes but with that said….I expected worse.  I am worrying about my mental health at this time.

Addie was just doing her life.  She was drinking with her bestie and signing books when Zade sees her AND decided she was his.  Zade did “everything he could” to let her go…by everything he obsessed over her and checked in to her life in every aspect before ….well going after his little mouse.

Their relationship is crazy.  She is being overwhelmed by him and the more and more they are together he is becoming overwhelmed by her and her acceptance of him.

The side plot of who killed Gigi, I was like meh when it was discussed but yet at the end I was like OH SNAP….I mean didn’t see it coming.

The cliffhanger at the end, I thought I had it figured out and much like the whole damn book with situations when I thought I knew what was up…I was damn wrong!!!!  I am absolutely obsessed and need the next audio like right effing now!! Zade and Addie….I need the final.  From what I understand its super gory and I am there for it.  I mean I cheered when a box of body parts shows up at Addie’s door.  LOL  Again, I question my mental health.

Lauren Mitchell found herself as the third-generation doctor as a cardiothoracic surgery but after a tragic that happened during a surgery, she left the operation room and now travels to hospital’s all over to teach doctors, surgeons, and nurses teaching them how to use new equipment that has come out. She loves every moment of her job, expect when she finds herself at St. Marks hospital and is dealing with a slimy colleague trying to flirt with her, that when the very attractive Dr. Max Lange comes into the cafeteria, and she gets up and walks right over to him giving him a kiss and asking him to play along with what she’s going to do. Just like that Dr. Max was willing to play along with anything she said he was hooked from the very beginning with Dr. Lauren. With Lauren only being in town for a short time will Max be able to get her to stay longer to get to actually know her or when he finds out her secret will it make her run away faster since shes never told anyone what actually happened in the OR that terrible day. But coming from Ireland to America she had to get use to a few things starting with driving on the right side of the road, but she was driving on the left side and that got her pulled over by Lieutenant Lange. Thinking he was pulling over a drunk driver Ryker defiantly got way more than he ever expected when making this traffic stop, he’s pretty sure he found the one and that it was love at first sight, something he didn’t think was real until he stopped Kitt. Well Ryker is known around town as the heartbreak kid and a charmer, and after Kitts breakup she wasn’t wanting to fall for anyone but she couldn’t help how good-looking Ryker was. When Kitt just wants to be friends with Ryker they make a wager, if they can go 3 weeks as just friends no flirting, or anything like that for 3 weeks then Kitt has to go on a date with him but if Kitt wins, Ryker has to apologize to one of the girls who heart he broke. Beth was a at home caretaker for an elderly man Mr. Jacobs who had lost his wife and getting up there in age himself he need 24-hour care. They became friends and one even out on the porch swing drinking some sweet tea and the beautiful sunset, Mr. Jacob’s was reliving about the sunset the evening his wife had passed. Little did Beth know that would be the last sunset and sweet tea she would share with Mr. Jacob’s he passed that night. Beth was so worried about what she was going to do now, she had no place to live and very little money, well Mr. Jacob’s wasn’t going to let her go without even in death, he had put her in his will and left her the barn on the property, but that day she had to go meet the lawyer to hear the will, she met his son and grandsons, and she didn’t have anything nice about them going on in her mind. Especially since the one grandson Dusty stole her lemon raspberry tart from the coffee shop after she told him it was good little did, she know it was the last one. Well now her and the tart theif were neighbors, and he attraction was flying high on both ends of the driveway but Beth was stubborn and Dusty didn’t give up easily. Will they give in to temptaion and enjoy a gorgous sunset with sweet tea of their own or will they just keep up the bullheadedness and stay away from each other.

Magic, curses, and spells…oh my! And I can’t forget about floating pies. There are floating pies, ya’ll!

Magic comes with a price and Jaden is experiencing it firsthand. The story picks up a year after book 1. This chapter in the journey also gives us a better view into Eliza’s life, which I love! Things in Which Village have settled down, but Eliza has been putting her heart into a new annual festival in hopes of bringing some tourism in that will help celebrate magic and the paranormality that is Which Village. Jaden is getting antsy because she is not getting anywhere with finding anymore clues from her mom’s testing and research, plus she isn’t getting any closer to finding her dead husband. Things go awry when someone from the deep dark past shows up and definitely throws some crazy spells around.

One of my favorite things about this series so far is the quirkiness of the stories. It’s funny, heartwarming, and has a bit of a thriller vibe too. The story moves fast so you experience many emotions and feelings pretty quickly. Oh, and Jaden’s character is made to be real. She is going through life with the same emotions and thoughts that many of us do. She is sooooo relatable and one of my favorite characters. I can’t wait for the next book because I can’t imagine what other twists and turns we will come across.

They try to keep things in the friend zone but everyone else around them can see what is happening.

Jules is extremely relatable as many of us have had those crazy days, sometimes weeks, where nothing seems to go right. The only difference is, I haven’t been propositioned to make steamy videos…have you?? LOL! These characters are very likeable, and the storyline will keep you smiling, laughing and saying OMG and WTF many times. But let’s not forget about the super fun steamy scenes too. The perfect mixture for a great story! I highly recommend!
