synopsis

***A Domino Anthology: 13 Authors ONE story***

Verity Michaels is new to New York City, but even she knows riding in a stolen cab is not a normal way to meet someone. Damn it if that tattoo-covered would-be felon isn’t everywhere now, and lighting everything on fire under her skirt.

His name is Hudson Fenn, and he’s frustratingly impossible to pin down. He works as a bike messenger, but has the manners of a prince—along with a strange tendency toward breaking and entering. As much as Verity knows he’s not her type, and likely to land her in jail, she can’t help but find her truest self when they’re together.

Can she be brave enough to give Hudson a real chance? Will he be bold enough to reveal the man beneath the ink, or will his secrecy doom their connection? Also, WTF is the deal with Verity’s boss? No less than thirteen of your favorite romance writers have teamed up to tell this sexy, wacky, snort-inducing tale. With them you’ll visit the world’s most irritating office, a VIP room of questionable cleanliness, and the fanciest apartment a bike messenger has ever inhabited, but you’ll still never see this ending coming.

kellys review

OH HELL YES! This story is hilarious, twisted, witty, insane, with lots of HOT and NOT!

Within the first few chapters I was hooked. It has everything! Verity is a girl trying to make it in the big city when her photography career didn’t quite work out. She takes a taxi home after work but shares it with this incredibly hot tatooed guy…we later find out his name is Hudson. They get caught in traffic, the cab driver and another driver get out of the vehicle and are arguing all crazy like so Hudson decides he will take the cab and drive Verity and himself to their destination. Verity is going all crazy about him stealing the cab and making comments about her vagina to make him not want to rape her. HE DOES NOT! He is a gentleman and pays for the cab. It was at this point (very early in the book) that I knew I was in trouble because there is no way I was putting this book down until the end. Sadly this is what happened. I lost a night of sleep before I knew it and was zombified the next day. TOTALLY WORTH IT! This is just the start. Their relationship has them breaking all the rules. There are secrets. Everyone has a secret! There are break-ins, sex, hilarious banter and….wait for it…..lifesize sex doll issues!

“She’d fix it. Mission: Bring Back Pussyfeathers was a go.”

“A little while later , after nearly being drilled into Mrs. Beatman’s apartment one story below , Verity really wanted to be that girl who could say something sexy. But she wasn’t that girl. “There’s a twenty on the dresser for you.” Not even close to being that girl. Hudson shifted to look her in the face. “Excuse me?” Verity giggled. At least she’d been able to throw him off balance. That was a nice change of pace. He laid on top of her while they caught their breath.”

“This mafia-style burial of a sex doll would no doubt be a tale she and Hudson told while tits deep in the hot tub at an Ocala retirement park 40 years from now. It had been just a little criminal and a whole lot perfect.”

Absolutely insane! Definately a page turner. Go ahead. Pick this up. You won’t be disappointed.
