What if the bad boy really was the right guy?

Four years ago, Sierra and Mickey had a hot encounter neither could forget. But Sierra’s family would never approve of a match with the guy from the wrong side of the tracks—so she runs from his bed, trying to forget it ever happened.

Nine months later, her little bundle of joy ensures that she will always remember.

Mickey left town long before Sierra’s belly grew big, so her secret is safe.

Or so she thought.

Three years later, Mickey, now a famous rock star, returns for a wedding in their hometown. And when Sierra runs into him, she discovers she still has all those feelings.

He’s in town for just a little while. What would one more passionate encounter with the hot bad boy hurt?

It should be fine…so long as she can keep her secret…

Review by Twinsie Melinda

I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.

The tangled webs we weave and oh boy did Sierra weave a web.  She had a one-night stand with her friend and then left in the middle of the night.  She held on to a secret for 3 years but when she came face to face with Mickey at a wedding things began to change. Sierra only wanted to be accepted by her mother but always fell short. She made up her mind she was going to get her degree and leave town.

Mickey is the sweetest Rock Star I have ever read.  He was determined to change his life course and not end up like his parents. Mickey had a plan and he stuck with it didn’t matter what anyone thought.  He was so great with Mia and the way he treated Sierra, swoon.  I loved when we got to see Mia and Mickey interact, they were so cute together. I also like seeing Sierra interact with the band members and their women.

Absolutely loved the entire scene of Sierra and Lance, her brother, at the truck stop. To see they had a lot in common and to have Sierra hear what Lance was saying to her was a turning point.  Sierra has 2 choices to follow her heart and do what will make her happy or follow what her parents want and be complacent the rest of her life. Although I was rooting for Mickey and Sierra to get together, I did like seeing Sierra and Austin together. Who does she choose Mickey or Austin? Does she listen to her heart or go with what her Mom wants? Both are great guys but Sierra will have to make a decision.

1. Imagine 2. Play some music 3. Write 4. Blow readers away 5. Repeat

#MM #asexualromance #review #twinsietenise —Upside Down by: NR Walker

Jordan O’Neill isn’t a fan of labels, considering he has a few. Gay, geek, librarian, socially awkward, a nervous rambler, an introvert, an outsider. The last thing he needs is one more. But when he realises adding the label asexual might explain a lot, it turns his world upside down.

Hennessy Lang moved to Surry Hills after splitting with his boyfriend. His being asexual had seen the end of a lot of his romances, but he’s determined to stay true to himself. Leaving his North Shore support group behind, he starts his own in Surry Hills, where he meets first-time-attendee Jordan.

A little bewildered and scared, but completely adorable, Hennessy is struck by this guy who’s trying to find where he belongs. Maybe Hennessy can convince Jordan that his world hasn’t been turned upside down at all, but maybe it’s now—for the first time in his life—the right way up.

Review by Twinsie Tenise

Jordan is a librarian who loves to cuss, and he talks a whole bunch of nonsense when he’s nervous and I just love him.

Hennessey works in internet safety. He’s a bit more reserved than Jordan, I guess you could say- but that does not matter one single iota- the 2 of them are 2 halves of the same whole. Soul mates. They were absolutely made for one another.
Jordan is struggling with this because he has zero desire for sex and the feelings Hennessey is stirring in him have left him confused.

Hennessey is so loving and understanding. He is the perfect partner for Jordan.

This is my first read involving asexuals. I loved it. I feel like I learned a lot and have a better understanding of asexualism, and I would like to thank the author for that. I swooned, I cried, I laughed (a lot), I fell in love with these 2 men and their unyielding love for one another. And don’t even get me started on the supporting characters. They were all a fantastic group of friends. I hope I can move on from this book. I miss them already.

#releaseday #wotr22 #attendingauthor #mmromance #partofaseries —Ollie & Bash (Cravenwood book 2) by: AD Ellis

Ollie isn’t one to hold back, so when he sees a sexy older man in the Cravenwood diner, he goes right ahead and opens his mouth. Getting shot down doesn’t deter him, but maybe he should focus more on the new boss he’s getting at work before he continues trying to hook up with the stranger.

Sebastian is one bad situation from considering himself washed-up. He took the job on Cravenwood Block as a stepping stone up and out of the hole he’s found himself in, but he has no plans to stick around. If he could just find a place to live and get started on working through this temporary obstacle, he’d be feeling a bit more confident.

Ollie and Sebastian don’t have any business getting involved, but fate seems to have different plans. Too many things keep bringing them together—forcing both men to see maybe there’s more between them than their messed-up pasts.

*Ollie & Bash: On Cravenwood Block is a steamy, opposites-attract, roommates-to-lovers, boss/employee, age-gap M/M romance featuring a man not looking for love and a younger music director with no filter.*

About A.D. Ellis

Escape into addictive, sexy, emotional romance.

A.D. Ellis is an Indiana girl, born and raised. She spends much of her time in central Indiana as an instructional coach/teacher in the inner city of Indianapolis, being a mom to two amazing school-aged children, and wondering how she and her husband of nearly two decades haven’t driven each other insane yet. A lot of her time is also devoted to phone call avoidance and her hatred of cooking.

She loves chocolate, wine, pizza, and naps along with reading and writing romance. These loves don’t leave much time for housework, much to the chagrin of her husband. Who would pick cleaning the house over a nap or a good book? She uses any extra time to increase her fluency in sarcasm.

Getting involved with your dad’s best friend is always off-limits. Too bad Cooper has no problem pushing limits.

Cooper Scott is a snarky twink with no filter. He has big plans for a successful future and falling for his dad’s best friend is NOT on the agenda. No worries, they’ll just keep it casual.

Jesse Thompson is a widower and new father at the age of fifty. The offer of help from his best friend’s son should have sent Jesse running. Instead, he finds himself in a predicament he’s spent his life avoiding.

Will Cooper and Jesse end up in a heartbroken crash-and-burn situation? Or can love overcome all and give them a happily ever after?

**Adore is a steamy, age-gap, bi-awakening, dad’s best friend M/M romance with a sassy smartass and a sexy silver fox. It’s the first book in the Remington Place series and can be read as a stand-alone.**

Review by Twinsie Tenise

Adore is book one in The Remington Place series. Cooper is an aspiring pre-school teacher. He rents a room from an amazing grandmother figure named Bev. (I freaking love that woman. She adds a special element to the book.) Jesse is a mechanic. He moves in next door and is getting ready to reopen the towns autobody shop. The 2 meet and there is definitely a possible friendship worth exploring. The question is- what happens the more time they spend together?

I flipping adore Cooper and Jesse! Complete opposites with a 25 year age gap and a bit forbidden since, you know, Jesse is Cooper’s dads best friend. Buuut that didn’t stop these 2 men from at least a casual fling. Absolutely nothing can go wrong when you keep things casual, right? Riiiight!

Book one in this series really set the bar high. I seriously cannot wait to meet the rest of the men from Remington Place.

I received a copy of this book from the author and this is my honest review.

Review by Twinsie Melinda

I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.

Where to start with this one. To be honest I was never an Isobel fan, or Romero fan, and definitely not a Finn fan. Now Rain oh yes give me more of him I want to uncover everything about him. Let me tell you after reading this I am a huge Isobel, Rain, Romero and yes even Finn fan. I have to say I saw a side of Ariel that I was not impressed with and thought she could go kick rocks.
Watching these characters develop and grow made my heart happy. To see another side of Rain and seeing his interaction with Romero and Isobel was great to see. Learning more of Romero and even having Finn open up was amazing. I had to laugh when Rains green monster came out I really loved seeing that. The whole you kissed him before you kissed me was amazing. Let’s talk about Finn I really disliked him up to this point. I really liked seeing his and Isobel relationship go from friends to something more. Seeing Finn’s vulnerability when going on their “first” date and when he meet Baxter for the first time. I really wanted to jump on the book give him an hug and tell him it will all work out.
Thing group of hot mess express will make a great coven if they every get the chance. Really they all have so many holes in their hearts and just want to love and be loved. With their extended family the Alexander’s they will be a powerhouse but they have some things to work through and overcome. There were so many feel goods in this book, like what Isobel does for the teenage boys warmed my heart. Really they all have been through so much they all need one another to watch out for each other. Mary you are killing me with this ending I cannot wait for the next book. You really changed me from a non Isobel fan to I need so much more of her, she is so complex.

A few of my favorites:

I liked this about her as well. She had a strong stomach and seemed to enjoy the gory bits. She’d fit perfectly into my life.

I might have been beautiful, gorgeous even, but I was a goddamn nightmare underneath all of that pretty packaging.

We might not have grown up together, but there was no doubt in my mind that we definitely belonged together.

Mary Martel was born in West Michigan and spent the majority of her life there. She currently resides in North Dakota with her husband, and her two beautiful daughters. She’s an avid reader, and when not writing she can be found with her nose stuck in a book.

Review by Twinsie Tenise

I first met the lovely Dorris Walker Taylor about 6 years ago at a book signing in East Peoria, Illinois, called Writer’s on the River. She was the guest speaker. I remember being incredibly moved by her story of survival.

This year when she arrived, she brought a book she wrote and you better believe I had to have a copy of it. The smile on Dorris’ face when we all asked her to sign a book she wrote! It was fantastic. She is a wonderful human being who definitely lights up a room when she is in it. But life wasn’t always so happy for Dorris you see.
In her book she tells about her family, the never ending love of her mother, her addictions that landed her on the streets of Nashville, homeless, for decades. She tells us about her struggles to survive and her love for God. And how her love for Him, the love of her mother, and an old friend who never forgot about her, may very well be the reasons Dorris is here today, able to tell her story to all who will listen.
Thank you, Dorris, for sharing your story with us. I’m proud of you for all that you have overcome in your life. I’m glad you have reasons now to smile because your smile is too beautiful of a thing to waste.

Dorris Walker-Taylor is a speaker and a light to all those who come to Thistle Farms, a nonprofit organization. She travels across the country speaking to audiences about God’s gift of hope and using her gift of song. Dorris draws on her own experiences to illustrate the transformative power of hope and to offer encouragement to others on their own journeys of healing and recovery.

-Amber-
He was mean.
Domineering.
Possessive.
Sammy Butcher had an outer layer he showed to the world. But I got the side of him I had been craving since I first met him.
After the first man I had ever loved was taken from me, I didn’t know how to open up and trust again. But Sammy made it his mission to let me see him. The real him.
Kind and gentle, two things I never thought I would get from him. He also showed me that as long as it was with the right person, I could embrace my deepest and darkest fantasies.
I wanted to be his pet but more than that, I wanted to be his. In every sense of the word.
For good.

-Sammy-
She was beautiful.
Seductive.
And a brat.
Amber Bishop could very well bring me to my knees just from saying my name alone. With her vibrant red hair and pale skin, I wanted to leave my touch on every inch of her.
She had a hard time trusting. Couldn’t say I blamed her. I wasn’t known to be a nice guy. I wasn’t the hero in a romance book. I said and did whatever I wanted, whatever the outcome.
But I wanted to be better.
For her.
For us.
No matter how long it took, I would show her she could trust me, and I would take care of her.
I would fight for her.
Even if it destroyed us.

Review by Twinsie Tenise

Sammy Butcher is The Enforcer for Hells Harlem. He’s not a man of many words and he spends most of his days bitter and angry. Part of that could be due to the fact that a certain redhead has gotten under his skin and all he wants is her!

We all know from previous books that Sammy and his twin are both a bit kinky. In Liberate Us, we find out just what turns Sammy on. And some of the things he likes are rough, crass, and deliciously dominating. But we also see a side of Sammy we have never seen. The gentle, overprotective lover who has wanted Amber since the moment he laid eyes on her. Theres something different about this woman and he is bound and determined to make her his. The good and the bad, the rough and the gentle are just some of the many things that makes Sammy Sammy and also my absolute favorite JM hero.

Amber does not easily trust anyone, especially men. She had a terrible past and a horrible first marriage. Those things left her trust of men very low. Sammy is different and Amber knows it but that still doesn’t help the doubt she feels creeping in.

He wants to be her Dom.
She wants to be his pet.
But in order for that to happen, they first have to deal with the past and present colliding in a battle that could very well destroy them.

Liberate Us is my favorite in the series thus far. Sammy and Amber were perfect for one another. She is the calm to his storm. He wants nothing more than for her to be happy. When they are together, something magical happens. Something neither one of them can ignore. I loved every single page of their story.

***This book is not for everyone, so please make sure you read the trigger warnings.***
