It seemed a little odd to Ezekiel that there were only a handful of people in the place but then again, he didn’t know just how far off the map he’d wandered. He sauntered to the bar and plopped down on a stool. Ordering a beer from the bartender he glanced around. A chill ran up his spine. Every set of eyes in the bar were focused on him. A couple guys grinned at him like he was prey.

It was then that he caught sight of something sharp and pearly white in the glow of the neon.

A pair of fangs. Fuck.

“What is it with you guys and bars, huh? I always pictured that you would be more wine and cheese snobs than canned beer and pretzels,” he questioned.

The two playing pool chuckled as they set their pool sticks down on the felt covered surface and prowled towards him. The one on the left, with black rumpled hair, untucked dress shirt, and wrinkled dress slacks smirked at him. “We guys? You act as if you know us?”

Ezekiel rose to his feet, nudging his beer aside. He scanned for exits other than glass doors. There were none. This place had to violate at least a dozen fire codes. Did they have fire codes in the backwoods? “I know your kind. You have distant cousins in Minnesota that are making my family’s life a living hell right now.”

The vampires frowned and the one dressed like he had left his soul at the office gave a hardy sniff to the stale air of the bar. He shrugged. “You wouldn’t be the first werewolf I’ve drained dry. Your blood tastes like shit, though.”

“Great to know.”

Before Ezekiel could drop into stance to defend himself, the bell on the door tinkled a greeting. The entire room turned to see who had walked in. He cursed under his breath. His odds weren’t great as it was and now, he had to defend someone?

Except there was no one there but a small puddle on the floor left by the storm outside. A second later two of the vampires closest to the door dropped to their knees, writhing in pain.

That was when Ezekiel saw her. Jet black hair flowed down past her ivory face and down her back. Eyes so dark they could have been mistaken as violet glanced at him. Her whole body, garbed in black, stiffened at the sight of him.

It was the woman in his dreams, the one that had made him jack off so many times before he hit the road on this trip. His cock stiffened at the sight of her. It was a really bad time for a hard-on.

“Take cover,” she demanded.

Ezekiel smiled at her, reassuringly. “I’ve got this, sweetheart.”

She glowered at him as her fist flew out, dropping another vampire to the ground. “I’m sorry. Did you just call me sweetheart?”

He bit back a groan as the two pool playing vampires charged him. For a moment, he thought the distraction was going to fuck up his fighting style. As one body thudded on top of the other, he let out a sigh of relief.

“Do you not like being called sweetheart?” he countered.

Her hand dropped to her thigh to produce a wicked looking knife. She pointed it at him. “I am not your sweetheart. Call me that again and it’ll be the last word you ever mutter.”

Welcome to the Land of Misfit Toys…only for Monsters. I loved the concept of this story and was sucked right in once I read the blurb. I am rounding this up to 4 because there were some really amazing parts of the story. I started the book and was completely engrossed, I mean completely sucked in. We start right when Nina is escaping a hell hole. She is blind but can see through other’s eyes. She has been held captive from a very young age. When the author puts in the blurb “ Be prepared to enjoy a painfully naive female main character who slowly grows as the book progresses…”, this is exactly what you will get. Nina is smart but really is painfully naive and at times I had to roll my eyes at just how dense she was. But we get beyond this, she is being framed for a murder she didn’t commit and is deposited in Nightmare Penetentiary, a labryinth prison for paranormal criminals. Little does she know, her best friend, Kai, who was imprisoned with her in the hell hole she escaped from, ends up being king of the prison she is deposited in. But from here we meet all of his comrades, right hand men, lackeys, whatever you want to call them. They are all equally as twisted and insane as the next but all very different from one another. The one thing they have in common is Nina. They are all drawn to her. Here is where the book lost me for a bit…We have to get to know her harem. Which is great and what we need to do but some of it took much more time than needed and sometimes felt a little unnecessary to the story itself. I was expecting more of the “action” and “story” while getting to know these crazy men with all their hawtness and alpha crazy coming out, but it seemed like the “action” and “story” were put on hold while getting to know them. However, the storyline amps back up again and takes you into a lot of “WTFs” and “where the hell did that come from?” type of stuff. So, it indeed drew me back in and turned out to have some crazy twists and turns that I needed. Although this isn’t one of my absolute favorites, I did enjoy the story and am intrigued enough to check out other stories from this author.

I bought this book and this is my honest opinion

Baby brother Abe is sick and tired of being treated like that a baby he is an adult who can make his own choices and when his big brother Josiah dont want him to fight like the rest of them he takes it upon himself to transform into the mask man so that know one will know he is actually a Hallow. After a fight one night he had his strange feeling and seen this beautiful rainbow haired beauty in the crowd, once back in the locker room the door opened and their she was looking for him well next thing she was pined against the locker. he never thought he would see her again well until the famous Hallow mating mark appeared. Abe wasnt sure he was ready for a mate but ready or not he had one and little did he know that she was actually a mermaid, so after the king of the seas had found out he wanted nothing more then to have Abe killed for marking his seer with his mark. Well crazier things happen when it comes to the Hallows fighting to make sure they are safe their mates are safe and that the world isnt coming to an end anytime soon. This was a great read defiantly wasnt sure were this was going when i first started it but i loved how it ended Abe was so thoughtful proved to his other brothers that he wasnt a little kid anymore and that he in fact had grown up.

When the weight of the world is forever on your shoulders the oldest hollow is finally getting his own taste of his medicine. After the tragic death of his aunts by two vampires, while at the church Josiah feels this strange pull that can’t be explained and then he see Sarah one of the aunts church friends who is by the book. He got into shoes as you could say but she has also met her match and Josiah, we need to get together disagreements are going to happen stubbornness is the main part of their relationship and some secrets that Sarah is holding. Decided I’ve been friends with her about being a werewolf and everything that goes on in his life the hell we handle it when he finds out that his mate is also a fighter. Find out what happens when Josiah who promised his father that he was going to take care of the family has to let go of the reins a little bit to help his mate fight for her life. I just love this family and the story and it’s hilarious to see Josiah get a taste of his own medicine is how stubborn Sarah is how she doesn’t back down from anything that he has to say.

It’s Sam’s turn to find his forever mate, well he has been keeping a secret from his family he has already found the love of his life his boyfriend Henry he just thinks that the fates don’t want them to be together because the mating tattoo still hasn’t appeared yet on either of them. One day when Sam is heading to see Henry he gets a weird pull that is forcing him to go to Henry’s house is it finally going to happen. Well once he gets there the door opens to a beautiful auburn hair girl there in a nighty and he can’t help but he has to kiss her, and. Well that leads to more and then next thing he knows he can’t help but follow her upstairs and after a few minutes they hear something and Henry walks in on them and he joins the fun. The next morning the tattoo has shown up on Delilah and not only her but Henry too they all 3 have been mated together. Even more crazy shit happens with this family and not to mention that vampires are after them. You are definitely going to love this trio and their relationship as along as what the rest of the mated couples are up too.

Micah Hallow 2nd oldest brother in the line finally is getting his shot. He i the one to stay at home never to go out and pretty sure he was never going to find his mate for heaven sakes he was still a virgin. So after getting picked on by his brothers for so long he decided to see what the fuse was about and go out the the club he might even get some work done while they were out.while at the club he watched his other brothers go off with the groupies that are always wanting a piece of a hallow brother to hook up with, when this strange pull had him leaving the club and down the road to the local strip club and he could not explain why. Once inside this gorgeous girl came out and he was stuck right in his tracks and couldn’t help with stair at her and she couldn’t help but dance just for him as if they were the only two in the club. Well once she was done dancing he yelled at her to fuck him and next thing he knew she was walking out the back door of the club and he was about to take her right there lucky for them they had a sleezy motel and that is where Micah lost his virginity. Eve left Micah in that motel room after leaving in the middle of the night refusing to take money from him she stuffed it back in his boot right before she left and after having the best sex of her life things were going to get a lot crazier for her. Well for starter they were mated to each other after just one night total strangers and well now both of their lives were on the line and they bith have a crazy secret that they wont be able to keep from each other for long. I received this book from the author for an honest review.

Holy shit balls!! This book….Jesus!!  Each book gets better and better.  Each book blows me outta the water with the twists and turns.  Each book makes me fall more and more in love with the characters.

When I read book 2, I was sobbing and so emotional because The Seer was violated.  We watched her struggle to get back to where her and Raider were.  So starting this book, I was instantly taken back when we knew Charles was being brought to the pack for Pack Justice.  I was just as worried as Theo about how we felt.  I mean do we want to see him?  Do we want to hide?  Do we want to talk to him?  Do we want to ignore him and not give him out time of day since he took so much of our time during and after the assault??  Seeing Theo realize her inner strength and value to the pack was amazing.  But seeing her mate, Raider Black at her side no matter what….dreamy sigh!!

Dude Theo is a bad ass chick when the Lady (The Pack Goddess) isn’t “with” her but when the Lady shows up…ya’ll I was not ready for the scene.  I was totally for everything that went down in that scene!!   I was so happy and damn proud our girl got HERSELF back.  Our girl was able to let everyone know how formattable she was.  Don’t get me started on how Theo handles Sophia…GROWL!!!

Raider is the most amazing character EVAH!!  I mean his love is fierce and he will do anything for his mate.  His secret surprise for Theo made my heart so weepy.  That fact he loves everything about her no matter that she is a human….swoon!!

The official mating ceremony was a bit of a shock for me as much as it was for Theo.  She was a bit nervous about being on display with the pack and the visiting dignitaries.  However, I was not expecting all that happened to happen.  I am stunned and looking forward to what happened and what that means for Theo, Raid, and The Lady.   But I really wanna know WTF is up Onyx’s ass because that fool is gonna meet an untimely death is my prediction.

Seeing Theo bond with Lore, Issa, Asher, Basil, and the MacGregor Family made me so happy.  But I gotta say I am on pins and needles for Lore and Bayla next book.  I can’t wait for that love story at all.

Hailey was your typical girl next door, loved her job as a vet loved helping animals and loved her best friends. A few times on her way to work Hailey would see a flash of brown fur fly across the road, and of course she’s was trying to help it being the animal lover she was. Well after work and heading to the bar with  she finally spotted the dog she’s been seeing, so she followed him down the alley in hopes to help, well she went against her gut feeling to back off and he bit her. The next day she started feeling strange, well after a few events that happen and the help of her best friend Jenna, Hailey finds out she was bit by a wolf shifter and is part witch i mean what else could happen to her, oh a hot sexy guy gets thrown in her life too. The real question is will she be able to keep her shit together, go to work, and keep her secret from her new hottie while trying not to turn  into a wolf. Omg this book was so amazing, funny, mystery, keeps you grasping for more and laughing out loud.

I received this book for free from the author for an honest review.

Paranormal is my jam so when I saw Anna was starting a new series, I jumped at reading it.  I was like Horse shifters?  Huh?  Cowboys too?  HRMM  My interest was piqued.

When I opened the book and read where the concept came from, I was like OHHHH This was be a story with great imagery.  I was not let down by the image that Anna paints for us of the cabins, lodging, family style vacation Lily is having.

When the story starts, we know Lily is sad and hiding from life.  She slowly opens and we find out her story of loss and guilt over the loss of her husband.  We see Lily enjoying life at the ranch and embracing the lifestyle while also wondering If she will every return the city life.

Maverick/Mav/Rick is the grumpy but hot alpha cowboy on the ranch.  He slowly starts to spend time with Lily which the family is super excited about because Mav does not do people.  LOL  Remember he is a broody male.

We see Lily and Rick spending time together and forming deep connections.  We see Lily struggle to open to him and we see him fear for his secret.  He is falling in hard and deep for this feisty woman but he fears rejection at what he is.

When the story unfolds and everything is laid out on the table, Lily finds out a lot about herself and Rick.  She must make some decisions and face her past.

I so loved the story.  The family and their resolve to make sure everyone is taken care of.  The way the family opens to Lily and is hopeful for the relationship they can all see developing.  I am so excited for more in the series.  I think watching Keller fall might be the best since he was giving Rick so much of a hard time over Lily.

A fun and entertaining fantasy romance. I listened to the audiobook and I think the narrator was wonderful. Hearing her voice gave me, what I thought, was the perfect picture of Kyndel. She is smart, sarcastic and sassy. She was on her way home from work one night and men with ill intent were following her. Rayne is our alpha dragon shifter who felt the pull of his mate and came in to save the day. Some of this is pretty typical with shifter books, the universe made Kyndel for Rayne and when they see each other it’s instant love. She doesn’t understand and he does. Rayne gets hurt during the fight and needs to sleep to heal and she quickly agrees to let him come to her home to rest without knowing anything about this man. She is a smart woman and I like to believe she knows better but it ends up working. This is a short story so things move pretty fast. Kyndel takes Rayne being a dragon pretty easily and accepts his world quickly. There isn’t a lot of character or world building going on but the banter between these two is pretty funny. There was more sexy time than action time and I think I needed more story than sex. So, although this wasn’t my favorite, it’s still a good quick story with a little bit of fun, a lot of sexy time, and a pinch of action and story to finish.
