He doesn’t have time for love, but when he finds out that he’s the reason Amelia is broken, he vows to make it right.

Amelia doesn’t want to risk getting her heart broken all over again and she knows that Mason has other priorities. But, she can’t resist the pull of the mating call, but she knows she must stay away, for everyone’s sake.

Will the pain of the past keep them apart or is the pull of fated mates stronger? Find out by reading this heart-wrenching paranormal romance.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader’s Copy of this book.

Ok, we all know that Alicia Montgomery is great at writing angsty shifters, with this story she gives us heartbreak.

Amelia Walker was sure she met her mate at 21, it was like she was told all her life.  She knew as soon as she saw him he belonged to her.  Mason, knew nothing about mates, he just knew that he was drawn to  Amelia like he had never been anyone else.

When he suddenly has to leave because he’s told he’s gotten a superior officer’s family member pregnant, he has to do what’s right no matter what his heart and bear says.  Amelia leaves Blackstone after this and only returns for visits, because she knows her family will sense that she no longer herself.

Years later she moves back to town to be closer to her family again and who else has moved to town……Mason.

Mason knows that he screwed things up years ago, however since he didn’t know anything about shifters until he was grown he didn’t know anything about mate bonds until now and now he realizes not only did he screw up his life but Amelia’s as well.

Man, I thought that Luke’s story was my favorite but Amelia and Mason are giving him a run for his money.

Broken mate bonds, neglected children,  a second chance at love.  This book gives you all the feels.
