“Lena and Jackson’s story is sweet, emotional, and a truly enjoyable read.” – Literal Addiction

Beautifully Wounded

Sometimes the only way to salvation… is to take a leap of faith.

Jackson Beaumont prides himself on being a nature-loving, guitar-strumming, carefree sort of guy. When the mysterious Lena Benton walks into his bar looking scared and defeated, it’s not something he can ignore. He’s immediately consumed by concern for her and driven by his desire to help. She’s just so beautiful. So wounded.

After being shuffled from one foster home to another growing up, Lena Benton dreamt of finding her prince charming. When the captivating Troy Harington sweeps her off her feet shortly after high school graduation, she’s certain she’s found her happiness. Unfortunately, Troy’s true colors surface shortly after their marriage and things turn ugly. Lena only has one choice. She has to leave him. She has to run…

Lena’s escape has brought her to Jackson, and he clearly wants to be there for her, but can she trust anyone again after what she’s gone through? And will Jackson be able to help her heal without losing his heart?

Sex with no strings. That’s the way Brodie Beaumont likes it. He uses women and they use him…

Suave, handsome Brodie Beaumont has a history of using and being used by women. A past he doesn’t like to talk about has turned him into the type of guy he is today, but he hasn’t really cared. Until the beautiful and feisty Gabrielle Demeres comes back into his life.

Gabrielle learned the hard way what type of guy Brodie was the first time she met him. His crude seduction attempt earned him a slap to his face, and Gabrielle wasn’t exactly looking forward to another encounter with the cad. Unfortunately, her best friend was marrying Brodie’s brother, and Gabrielle and Brodie would be forced to spend time together whether she liked it or not.

As things in the small, quiet town of Turtle Lake take a decidedly dark and dangerous turn, Gabrielle and Brodie only have each other to turn to. Will they be capable of over coming their aversion to one another while coping with their own troubled pasts and dealing with the current dangers surrounding them? Or is their hostility just skating the fine line between love and hate?

He was broken.

Full of hate and sorrow.

Asher Beaumont never asked for much in life. All he wanted was to play his guitar, write music, and be recognized and loved by his father. Unfortunately, that last desire was never realized. The bastard died when Asher was just a kid. Then thirteen years later, his mother dies of a brain tumor, shattering him even more and leaving him hating everyone around him, except for his two best friends, Melody Stevens and her brother, Teddy.

Melody Stevens has crushed on her best friend, Asher Beaumont her entire life. But it’s always been a secret passion. Never something she’d act upon. But when she tells Asher she’s prepared—and determined—to lose her virginity to a guy he considers to be nothing more than a cad who sleeps with anything that wears a skirt, her best friend offers her a proposition she can’t really refuse.

When Asher stumbles across a letter left by his mother before her death, begging him to seek out his half-brothers, he and Melody begin a journey of discovery.

Beautifully Wounded –
First off I need to say that one of the main characters of this story does experience physical abuse. This book is an incredible story with one strong woman that finds that she can trust again. If you have a trigger please be wary but the journey that she goes on is intense and passionate.
Lena is a woman who is being abused by her husband. She puts a plan in place to leave him but her plans are cut short when she needs to leave sooner rather than later. She does a series of things to hide her tracks well but she needs to stop to regroup. While trying to find this place to grab a coffee and figure out what her next move will be, she meets Jackson Beaumont. When he sees her he has a connection with her that he cannot shake. He is drawn to her, to help her. She reluctantly decides to stick around and to try and help herself but what she doesn’t count on is the trusting, loving, kind natured Jackson. He wants nothing more than to help her help herself. He shows her she can be independent and still ask and accept help from others.
This is a beautifully written insta-love with a breath taking happily ever after. Lena and Jackson help each other find a better person in themselves. I am absolutely in love with the Beaumont Brothers series. Grab your tissues….you’re gonna need them.

I adore the Beaumont Brothers! This is Brodie and Gabrielle’s story. We have two people that couldn’t be more opposite of one another. Their first encounter was not fun and they are dreading seeing each other now. Brodie has a past that makes him who he is today, a playboy that will not commit to spending two nights with the same woman let alone commit to a relationship. Gabrielle has a past that she has kept hidden from everyone and has made her a bit more reserved than most. All hell breaks loose and they lean on each other for support. To watch their relationship bloom and feel every single emotion is beautiful. The author has an amazing way with words and will rock your world when you find out about their pasts!
There is a respect that these two develop for one another. Fear and rejection have made them weary but their love is incredible!

Beautifully Undone –
6 BEAUTIFUL STARS! “A streaming trail of need followed by want confused the hell out of me.” This almost sums the book up. Forgive me now for being so vague but I absolutely refuse to give any spoilers and have an incredible need to tell you all the reasons why you need to read this book. Asher and Melody are my new favorite book couple!
You know right from the start of the story that it is going to be deep. Amazing friendship, hate, love, confusion, and some HOT scenes! Asher, Melody, and her brother, Ted have been very close friends since they were young. What happens when you are friends with someone of the opposite sex? People misconstrue things and no one approaches you because they think you are taken. While going through a deep family loss, confusion is rising fast regarding feelings about your best friend and some long lost relatives. Asher and Melody are easy to fall in love with right from the beginning. There are many twists along their journey that will keep you stuck to this story. It’s like gravity!

“It’s up to you, Elvis.” Lincoln, the dealer, nodded in my direction and waited. I kept my eyes trained on the center of the table where chips sat in a small pile. I didn’t need to look at my cards again. I knew what I had: an eight and a queen of hearts.

There were six vampires at the table, counting both Gage and me. Gage had folded right after the deal, and so had one of the other players. I was the last to bet, and sometimes, I liked to spice things up a bit, so I matched the bet and sat back.

Heavy smoke hung in the air like delicate streams of fog, swirling in circled patterns under the light hanging from a long cord above the table. Four other lights hung on fixtures attached to the otherwise stark, tawny brown walls. Even with all the lights, the room seemed dark.

Maybe it was the darkness of the souls in the room. I wasn’t sure.

A droning sound buzzed from outside, a little annoying, but I managed to drown it out as I nonchalantly watched the faces around the table as the dealer revealed the flop.

The first card the dealer turned up was a jack of hearts, then a nine of hearts.

Holy fuck.

It was raining hearts for some reason, and I held two of them already. I held my breath, waiting for the third card in the flop. Crap, an eight of diamonds.

Not exactly what I was looking for, but a pair of eights with a queen high wasn’t completely a loss so I decided to hang in there and see if one more heart would show. There were still two cards to go, and a flush was possible.

I kept my eyes straight, my thoughts blank—or I tried—like I usually did as each card was revealed, always attempting to keep my composure, never deviating from the norm, not wanting to give away my emotions. I was an expert at reading people. Especially in a poker game. A blink of an eye, a slight twitch, a swallow, the slightest movement, anything…different could give someone’s hand away. I wanted to reach up and finger my shades that sat on top of my head. Just one little nudge and they’d be sitting comfortably on my face, shielding my eyes. But not only were dark glasses frowned upon in this high-stakes game of Texas Hold ’em, but any movement out of the ordinary might tip someone off about my cards.

This wasn’t our normal gathering with my brothers at the mansion. This was a high roller, unsanctioned but heavily guarded poker game with some seriously high-powered city officials that I’d bet my right nut were a drug cartel of some sort or another. The two thugs in the monkey suits positioned on either side of the door to the entrance had stood like statues most of the night; the bulge of a holster protruding from under their jackets an obvious clue. At least they were on the outside of the room, but they still remained at the ready if their services were required.

Gage and I didn’t normally seek out games with such high stakes, but he’d been bored lately, and when he ran into Lincoln—the game’s host—at Club Royal a couple of weeks ago, Lincoln had

invited Gage and me to join. Said they’d recently lost two of their regulars and needed a couple of fill-ins.

When Gage approached me, I’d shrugged him off at first, not wanting any part of something that sounded so sketchy, but after he’d pestered me for the entire week, I finally gave in, needing a distraction from the long hours—sometimes days apart—from Lily, the sexy and sweet vampire I’d been trying to get to know better. Except, she was either playing hard to get, or just wasn’t that interested in me. Though I had a difficult time believing the latter of those two options since she continued to meet me whenever she had the time or, in her words, “could get away.” Away from what, I hadn’t been able to find out. Yet.

Getting thoughts of Lily off my mind was nearly impossible Her fair, silky-smooth skin; her mesmerizing dark coffee eyes that could hold my gaze for hours on end; the tips of her long, thick locks kissing the cleavage of her breasts where my lips longed to skim. I managed to clear my head just in time, as it was my turn to bet again. I slid my bet forward, raising the pot three thousand for appearance’s sake. In truth, without another heart or a ten, I had squat. I didn’t think the pair of eights would cut it. I had an excellent chance for a straight or a flush if either of the next two cards went my way. Since Gage had already folded, he sat still as a statue beside me, his hands together on the edge of the table. I knew he was busting a gut wondering what I held in my hand.

There were only four of us left in this hand, and I didn’t want to go home with a loss. Not against these guys. Two of them sat puffing on brown cigarettes, looking rather tough. They were tough, the sort who would drain the blood from a homeless person and leave them to die in the gutter without so much as a “thank you, ma’am.” Particularly, the one at the end with the light brown wool Stetson on

his head. The word dangerous exuded from his pores. He wore that hat pulled low on his brow, shading his eyes just enough to where it was legal but not enough to reveal much about him. A neatly trimmed goatee graced his chin and his upper lip. A long ponytail made of cornrow braids hung down his back. He seemed on edge, or maybe it was just an act to throw me off.

Which he did when he raised another five thousand. That was steep, and the other two guys folded. Either the guy had something powerful, or he was bluffing his ass off and had nothing. Since I had the queen of hearts, I knew he couldn’t have a royal flush. But that didn’t rule out a straight or four of a kind. The bald-headed guy next to him folded, as did the next two. Now it was up to me, and six thousand was just about all I had left, so I shoved the entire stack I had into the middle of the table.

“I’m all in,” I said with feigned confidence.

After all the bets had been matched, the dealer flipped the fourth card.

A fucking nine of spades.

Shit.

I watched out of the corner of my eye as cowboy hat’s mouth curved up on one side, the tip of his fang biting into his lower lip. Could mean he was nervous. Or cocky. Either way, my hand was dead unless a ten or another heart showed up.

My heart skipped a beat when the fifth card was flipped over. There it was, sparkling as if someone had lit it on fire. I managed to keep my composure as I chilled, though I could have sworn I heard fireworks go off outside.

The beautiful ten of hearts.

Stetson vamp chuckled and said, “Too bad. You played a nice hand.” Then he laid down his cards. A pair of nines, giving him four of a fucking kind, which would beat most hands. When he started to grab at the pile of chips, I cleared my throat.

“Hold on there, space cowboy,” I heard myself say, not sure if the cockiness in my voice would help or hinder, but that pile of chips in the center of the table belonged to me, and there was no fucking way I was letting this douche have them. I had a fucking straight flush, queen high. Beat that you fucking cocksucker. I wanted to gloat but managed to keep my cool and simply turned the two cards in my hand over and placed them face up on the table.

His face paled, if that were possible. His dark-stubbled jaw flexed. His eyes narrowed to slits. His left ear twitched, and he placed both his palms on the table as he stood, glaring at me. Everyone sitting around the table stiffened. The chips lay in a heap in the middle. He kept his large ebony eyes on mine, never faltering. I allowed myself to stare right back, not moving a centimeter. I was good at stare-out games. I’d had a cat, many in fact, and we constantly played this game. Stetson hat was no different in my mind. Though I was positive he thought differently. This guy was too fucking arrogant for my taste. I’d wondered from the moment I sat down if he was going to be trouble.

“Jace, you ready?” he barked.

The guy at the end of the table—Jace, I assumed—nodded. “Yep, I’m all tapped out. Ladies.”

Stetson hat shrugged into a light brown wool coat, generously embellished with dark brown fur at the lapel, all the while keeping his eyes glued to me. “Be sure to join us again. I look forward to the opportunity to win that back.” His eyes briefly averted to the large pile of chips in the middle of the table before returning to mine, and then he touched the rim of his hat and nodded like he was fucking Clint Eastwood. “Gentlemen.” He kept his lips tight as he turned and walked out. Stopping by another vampire on his way, he looked down at him, made some sort of gesture with his hand, and left the room. Jace, and two other large vampires went with him.

Gage cleared his throat. “Fuck, man. That was intense.” The three dudes left at the table all sighed heavily.

The vampire that Stetson hat had gestured to stood up. “Roach would like you to join him at his employer’s mansion.” Roach? What the fuck kind of person names their kid Roach? I almost laughed. The poor guy. No wonder he was so intense. “It is open to you any Friday evening. That is the night they

entertain small groups. Midnight. Here’s the address.” He slipped me a card. I glanced down at the etching on the flat piece of metal.

It read:

Sweet’s Delicacies

Whatever your pleasure, we’ve got it.

Sweet Towers, Sky Deck.

When the vampire had left, Gage grabbed the card from me. “Shit. Looks like he wants a rematch.”

“Well, he isn’t getting one,” I retorted and threw the fancy card down on the table. This was over right now. I didn’t want any part of whatever the fuck that guy was dealing.

“I wouldn’t be so quick to pass on that invite if I were you, Elvis,” Lincoln, the vampire who’d hosted the night’s game, said. “That vampire works for Sweet, one of this city’s most dominant and influential business owners. He has the support of the local labor board, as well as several other highfalutin bigwigs in the city. It’s quite the honor to be invited, even if it was by his right-hand man. Sweet doesn’t give out invitations to his private parties very often. And his parties don’t have anything to do with card games, if you get my drift. Roach must have liked you.” He winked.

I raised my eyebrows up at Lincoln in question.

“You know. Sex, drugs. Those kinds of parties. Group or single, whatever you desire, so I’ve heard.”

Whatever kind of parties, I wasn’t into group sex or drugs. I had a woman, or at least a woman I wanted, as the vision of Lily’s striking brown eyes set against her smooth, deep black hair floated through my mind. I got to my feet and shrugged into my coat. “Come on, Gage, let’s split.”

Love these books!!!!

Tempted By a Vampire
“Vampires are real you know”… Just when you think you have it all under control, fate steps in and throws a wrench into everything you thought you knew. This is what happens when Magdalena plays it safe. But this is where the story begins. Her friend gets her to let loose and when she does she meets Cian (Kee-yan). He’s a hot singer in a band that plays at the local bar. Cian is a vampire and has lived for many years. He has found a comfortable existence that makes him feel just a little less of a monster. He sees Magdalena and fireworks explode. They are both drawn to each other. Eventually Cian entrusts Magdalena with his secret but then things go from good to complicated in 2.4 seconds. All of a sudden she is faced with many things paranormal and everything that she has ever known comes crashing down. Fate knows how to mess with people and definitely knows how to shake things up! Paranormal romance with all the right twists and turns. Love Tempted By a Vampire!

Captivated By a Vampire
This author has a way of getting you to like a book then giving you the second one to make you like the next one more. This is exactly what happened to me. I read Tempted By a Vampire and really, really liked it. But then I get my hands on this baby and love this story even more! This story is about Chelle and Josh. We meet Chelle in Tempted and she is the one that Lane turned into a vampire…not by choice. Chelle and Lane have lots of history and Chelle is finally getting out on her own. Josh is an investigative journalist, and a mere human, that is given an assignment that has him questioning himself. When Chelle and Josh meet they have strong connection. As things unfold, Chelle starts remembering her past, her parents, and the circumstances surrounding her parents death. As these things come to light she and Josh start confiding in each other and find that their pasts aren’t so different and they are more alike than they thought. Now they have to figure out if they can be good for each other. But this is not where this story ends. Not even close! There is a ginormous twist that will make your head spin and is absolutely worth the read. When you get to this part, you will understand completely what I mean. There is this perfect balance of love and hate. It’s full of bada$$ery and is soooooooo HOT!

Rocked By a Vampire
Rocked my soul! A rockin’ test of wills! This is Lane’s and Vanessa’s story…and what a story it is. Both of them are incredibly hard headed and always at each other’s throats. Although, they secretly like each other. *wags eyebrows* They both think the other doesn’t like them because of being a vampire or a witch but they share a connection that they cannot deny. This is an absolute test of wills between the two and the rollercoaster of emotion that follows is intense to say the least. Both start to bring the other out of their shell then all hell breaks loose. Vanessa and Lane are both very strong characters and watching them clash and come together is inspiring. This story is sweet, erotic, and satisfying.

We have followed these characters in Tempted By a Vampire and Captivated By a Vampire. They can be read as standalones but to truly appreciate these characters I suggest you read from the beginning. The author is incredible at making these characters evolve in a way you can’t rip away from. They go through the same emotions most people go through and therefore make them more real (even though they are vampires and witches, lol!). This series gets better and better as it continues.

Broken Wide Open yellow fonts 1-24-17

Goodreads

This standalone is anything but broken. Right from the beginning you are pulled right into the story. Grace is a strong woman that experienced true heartbreak. She goes to Bora Bora alone trying to get herself together. She meets Leo in Bora Bora. Fireworks are exploding but things don’t go the way you would expect. Then back to reality. Grace is getting back on her feet after the wedding that never should have happened. Grace runs into Leo and the tension is palpable. There is always something in the background that is trying to keep them apart, but the attraction is incredible. As the story continues you feel like you are going to continue on with a predictable happily ever after. But then you are hit unexpectedly with a twist. When this happened it clenched my heart. The raw emotion that you take from these characters is moving. Then I started questioning whether the outcome of this story was going to be what I wanted. It was anything but predictable and is an absolute must read. The spin is perfectly flawed. It’s exactly what you need for an incredible ending.

How many times can a heart be broken?

Mine has been broken twice.

My mother, Sofie Davidson, formally Sofie Brighton, always said that losing a spouse from death was easier than going through a divorce. She ought to know, she’d been through both. The divorce from my stepfather two years ago had been devastating to my mother. Oliver Davidson had raised me from the time I was six as if I’d been his own daughter. But their divorce didn’t break my heart. To my mother’s dismay, Oliver was still in my life, still playing the role of doting father. He even walked me down the aisle today when I got married with my mother flanking my other arm.

My father, Pierce Brighton, had died when I was four. Some freak accident that my mother never wanted to talk about. That was a dark day. My mother stood at the front door crying while two policemen politely tipped their hats, saying how sorry they were for her loss. The rest of the conversation is jumbled in my head. All I remember or understood at the time was that my daddy wasn’t coming home anymore. That was the first time my heart had been broken wide open.

I squeezed my eyes shut as I thought back to that day wishing he could have been here with me now. But in truth, I couldn’t have asked for a better father than Oliver has been. That was in the past. Today was my future. Then I took a deep cleansing breath, embracing the new life I was about to partake. The ceremony had turned out perfectly. Sprinkles of rose pedals flanked each side of the aisle as we approached the archway where Craig stood with all his entourage of best friends. Along with his best man, Joel, there were five groomsmen standing by, which meant I had five bridesmaids in addition to my maid of honor, Lissa. I didn’t really have that many best friends. Two would have been my choice, Kristen and Lissa, but Craig had insisted we have his six good buddies in the wedding. I’d asked a couple of the girls from the restaurant I’d managed along with his two sisters. It turned out to be just right. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect ceremony. Craig looked gorgeous in his dark tux. He wore a white rose on his lapel and his light brown hair was combed back away from his face instead of hanging down over his forehead like it normally did, partially shielding his beautiful blue eyes, which sparkled with love today. Or maybe it was lust. I had t admit I’d been feeling a little lusty myself when I’d seen him standing there as I walked down the aisle and the way he’d grinned during the ceremony I had to hope he was thinking of what he’d be doing later. He looked amazing.

The reception hall exploded with music, food, and laughter. Twenty tables, each graced with white rose bouquet center pieces, circled the dance floor where Craig and I’d just finished all the customary dances. I’d danced with Oliver, while Craig had danced with his mother. Shortly after that, Craig excused himself, kissed me on the cheek and took off toward a group of his buddies he’d gone to college with. I watched him walk. His cool swagger ignited a heat within my core. He was gorgeous. He was mine. All six-foot two inches of taut muscle and smooth flesh. All mine. Lust aroused as I thought about what the evening had in store for us. When he reached the guys, he took the shot glass one of them held out, filled with something I assumed was Jack Daniels.

A fast tune blared from the speakers as the D-Jay stood behind a large black console pushing buttons on his equipment. Couples danced, mostly women bopping to the beat with each other as their husbands, boyfriends, or dates stood around drinking beer or cocktails solving all the problems of the world.

“Grace! Come on. You can’t miss this. It’s your wedding.” Kristen grabbed my arm and tugged me into the line dance that had quickly formed in the middle of the room. Her soft green gown flowed over the floor along with her and I giggled trying my best to keep up. Line dancing wasn’t exactly my strong suit. I managed a restaurant and bar, or had until I’d met Craig. I’d always been the one standing back watching all the fun from the other side of the bar. Until that night he walked through the room. His eyes caught mine. He smirked then proceeded to ignore me for an hour. I only knew he was ignoring me because I couldn’t stop glancing over at the table where he sat with his back to me while he laughed and joked with his friends. It was almost an hour to the minute before he came up to the bar and asked what time I got off work. I’d been completely taken by surprise. Here was this gorgeous man who could probably have had any woman in the entire bar—of which there were at least half a dozen beautiful ladies milling about—and he was asking me what time I finished. I’d taken a step back, unsure he was even speaking to me. To this day, I still wonder what it was about me that attracted him to me that night. I hadn’t exactly been dressed with the intention of attracting a guy, especially someone like Craig. I had very little make-up on and my hair hadn’t been washed for three days. In fact, I’d had to pull it back into a pony tail just to make it through another day before shampooing again. My hair was waist long and took forever to dry and style.

When I didn’t answer Craig right away, he’d asked again. I stammered a bit, but then found my voice and told him seven-thirty. He then informed me that he’d be waiting for me at the front door because he was taking me to dinner. I thought for sure he’d just been kidding around, but there he was standing at the door at seven-thirty. I hadn’t been in the habit of dating customers, but there was something about Craig that I couldn’t resist.

Kristen grabbed my hand, pulling me out of my reverie. She gave me a, what’s-wrong-with-you look and I realized I’d been so engrossed in my thoughts of Craig that I’d been standing there beside her without moving. “Sorry.” I smiled and began to copy what the other dancers were doing, but as hard as I tried to follow the gal’s steps in front of me, I still messed up. Just as I was beginning to get the turns down, the confusing and exhausting line dance ended. I wrapped my arms around Kristen as we laughed and hugged each other.

“That was nuts,” I proclaimed, holding my hand over my chest trying desperately to catch my breath.

“It would have been easier if you’d moved your feet more in the beginning.” She laughed. “I bet you were daydreaming about Craig, right? I know I would have been. Grace, you just married the most eligible and richest bachelor in this county. You must be ecstatic!”

Not to mention maybe a little overwhelmed, I thought to myself. Then I ran my fingertips down the delicate white lace and pearl gown I wore to smooth it out. I’d found the dress online. At first, my mother had squawked at the idea of purchasing a wedding dress online. She couldn’t imagine not being able to try it on first and she was a little disappointed not to be able to go out shopping for it. She’d always told me that was something she’d been looking forward to since the day I was born. I had assured her though, that no matter what, it could always be altered. When it arrived, all her doubts were forgotten as soon as I lifted it out of the package. It was the most gorgeous gown we’d ever set eyes on. It was sleeveless with scalloped bodice and fell low in the back followed by a line of tiny pearl buttons. The delicate material hugged my rear end, then draped to the floor, fanning out behind me.

“The wedding was beautiful. And you make the most beautiful bride, Grace. I know Craig has been so utterly enamored by you today,” Kristin said. “He couldn’t keep his eyes off of you during the ceremony.”

And I hadn’t been able to tear mine away from his either. This had been a fairy tale day to be sure. Kristen embraced me then bounced her way back onto the dance floor to join a small group of ladies bopping to the tune of ACDC’s, “You Shook Me All Night Long.” The giddiness building up inside of me, made me want to shout with glee and I couldn’t contain the smile on my face as I went in search of my new husband. New as of about three hours ago. I believed it was time to cut the cake.

Glancing around the large ballroom of the Terra d’Oro for my husband, elated about referring to Craig as my husband, I didn’t spot him anywhere. I strolled across the wooden dance floor and headed for the door to the outside patio, passing decorated tables cluttered with empty and half full glasses of champagne, sidestepping guests with a polite apologetic, I’ll-be-right-back-gesture with my finger, in search of the man I’d be sleeping with every night for the rest of my life. The patio was much like the inside with partially filled glasses of champagne and other mixed cocktails. Oliver hadn’t skimped on the amenities; that was for certain. He hadn’t even made a remark when my mother announced that there had to be an open bar at her only daughter’s wedding. I never had any doubts about Oliver’s love for me. He’d adopted me as his own shortly after he’d married my mom. When they divorced two years ago, he made it quite clear that he would always be a part of my life. That, I was, for all intents and purposes, still his daughter and would always be. So of course, when it came to funding the wedding, he was all in, even though I had assured him that it wasn’t necessary since Craig’s family was essentially wealthy and had offered to fund the event, but Oliver would hear of it.

At least Craig’s parents were pleased with the way the wedding turned out. His parents lived on the Tiburon Peninsula, a ritzy neighborhood in the hills across the bay from San Francisco where the average priced home ranged from one point five million to fifteen million dollars.

I searched around the small gatherings of various guests for Craig, but didn’t see him anywhere. Where was he?

“Gracie,” Joel, Craig’s best man sang my name as he sidled up close to me and draped his arm around my shoulders.

I laughed. “Joel, are you drunk?”

“Nope. But I’m on my way. It’s not every day one of the four Kemosabes gets hitched.” The endearing term used by the four grown men since—I was told—the fourth grade, came out a bit slurred, but most definitely understood. “You’ve stolen him away with your charm and our little private club will never be the same.”

I laughed again. “Trust me; I’ll do my best to make sure Craig always stays close friends with all of you.”

“You better, or I’ll just have to steal you away from him. You’re too good for him anyway.”
“I’ll keep that in mind, but… have you seen Craig? I haven’t been able to find him.”
He pursed his lips together making tiny wrinkles on his lips as he peered over me, his eyes narrowing as he searched the area. “He’s not out here. Last time I saw him he was at the bar with Clancy.”

“Okay thanks,” I said and slipped away before he had a chance to stop me and searched for Clancy, aka Les Clancy, another member of said Kemosabes. Clancy was right where I thought he’d be. Still standing at the bar where I’d seen him last having a shot of something with Craig. But no Craig anywhere in sight. I sighed. I didn’t want to talk to Les, I just wanted my husband.

“Grace!” Kristen caught my arm again. “Come dance.”

“Later. I need to find Craig. Have you seen him?”

She shook her head. “I’m sure he’s around here somewhere. It’s his wedding.” She gave me that silly grin she had when ever she’d been drinking and twirled back onto the dance floor, ignoring me. God, was everyone drunk at this wedding except me? I just hoped Oliver was still okay with having to pay for all the booze that seemed to be slipping way too easily down everyone’s throats. I walked out into the hallway. I might as well take advantage of the time and visit the ladies room, which was all the way down at the other end of the hallway. I passed a couple a closed doors on the way and strolled by one left slightly ajar. I back-stepped as I heard someone moaning. I stopped and heard it again. Thinking someone was ill, I pushed the door all the way open and stared at the two bodies entangled in a frenzied heat.

He nudged me to the side and stepped around me then picked up a bottle of wine and left me standing there in the cold. Dazed. Aroused. Wanting. And rocked to the core.

We both needed to make some confessions, and maybe because we were both damaged, it was better to make them to each other.

I liked my women willing and loving. Though a scream every now and then was just fine, as long as she was screaming my name from the pleasure I was giving her.

Rock on Susan Griscom! I’ve been rocked!

**I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review**

Note: This is part of a series but can be read as a standalone.

“I’d never asked for the life I was handed. Not the one growing up, or the one I had now. If that’s what you could call it. In order for there to be life, there must be death. I suppose I’ve already had both. This life now, I don’t know exactly what to call it. Undead existence, I suppose. But it is, what it is. I’m happy that I still have some sort of life.  F**king Lane.”

“I smiled against her sweet, pale cheek and sighed. She may not be forcing me to stay, but I was most definitely her prisoner , bound not by ropes or shackles, and not against my will, but by the pure, unrelenting desire I felt for her . I was a goner. I’d always be forever in love with her. “Woman, you are going to be the death of me.”

There is this perfect balance of love and hate. It’s full of bada$$ery and is soooooooo HOT! A MUST READ!

synopsis

A Beaumont Brothers Series stand-alone book 2

18+ due to adult situations

Suave, handsome Brodie Beaumont has a history of using and being used by women. Playing bass in his brother’s band doesn’t hurt.

Will they be capable of overcoming their aversion to one another while coping with their own troubled pasts and dealing with the current dangers surrounding them? Or is their hostility just skating the fine line between love and hate?

“There was no question in my mind, she was a goddess, and I silently cursed my stupid attempt at carelessly trying to get her into my bed last year. One does not simply just have sex with a goddess.”

“…the trees blowing in the wind outside the window caught my eye. I studied them as they swayed, the way they withstood the abuse from the wind was amazing. I wanted to be like the trees. Able to stand tall the next day after being slammed by something I had no control over; only dropping a few fragments of my self-esteem the way the trees only lost a few of their leaves.”

“I do know that when I kiss you, my entire world stops. My head buzzes and my body goes into overdrive , making me dizzy . Just like with a car, my body goes into high gear to maintain the speed my heart is pumping because of the way I feel about you.”

There is a respect that these two develop for one another. Fear and rejection have made them weary but their love is incredible!

synopsis

18+ due to adult situations

A Stand-alone book 1 in the Beaumont Brothers duology.

What would you do if you had no place to go and no one you could trust?

“The lyrics are about you, Lena,” he confessed, and I watched his mouth as the tip of his tongue moistened his lips before he leaned his head down. Then those beautiful lips were on mine, soft, tender at first, then his tongue glided over my lips, breaking the seal. My pulse throbbed and quickened as his tongue swirled around mine. Taking and controlling, and… and I wanted this, needed his touch. I went limp in his embrace, and the heat rose under my skin, my body vibrated against his strong powerful one. Was this really happening?”

She has to run…

kellys review

“What cloud did you say you were from?” He laughed. “See that one over there?” He pointed out the window. “No, not that one,” he said, as my gaze followed his, “the lighter one, over there. The one shaped like Pluto.”“The dog or the planet?”“The dog, of course.” At that I smiled, and found myself relaxing a bit.”

“I’d never forgive myself for not being there for her. Now I was beginning to annoy even myself. I cared too much. I was in too deep, and I didn’t know how to pull myself up and out of the box of emotions I’d created.”

“I didn’t want to hurt her or take what she didn’t want to give. I wanted to be careful with her, more careful than I’d ever been with a woman in my entire life . I’d never cared or thought about what I took before. A kiss had always been just a kiss, never meaning much. This time, I cared because Lena deserved it. She deserved to be kissed the way a woman should be kissed, with tenderness and respect, but I couldn’t keep the heat out.”

This is a beautifully written insta-love with a breath taking happily ever after. Lena and Jackson help each other find a better person in themselves. I am absolutely in love with the Beaumont Brothers series. Grab your tissues….you’re gonna need them.
