Trusting You by H D’Agostino

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

Oh man oh man!!  Aaron, Aaron, Aaron!!  The player got tamed for sure in this book.

In Em’s book we see Aaron and Mel getting a close.  Mel is warned that Aaron isn’t a settle down kinda guy but Mel just can’t turn away until…….well if you read the 1st book then  you know what he did.  *Shakes my finger at Aaron*

Aaron is the god time guy.  He loves his role as the hot lifeguard.  He gets any girl he wants but he is drawn to Mel for some reason.  When he screws up, he is desperate to find a way AKA Beg Em and Brock for help to get his girl.

Mel was devastated by what Aaron did to her and will not fall for ANOTHER player.  She puts up a lot of walls because players have ruined her life and she will not fall for that line again.  Mel is dedicated to school and her family at home.  She loves Em but she has a big secret that she keeps close.  She has to graduate.  She has to take care of her and her business.

When Aaron starts to beg and grovel, Mel begins to crack.  She wants to have what he might actually be offering but when Aaron lays his cards out on the table, Mel flips out!!!

When the secrets are told and the revelations are made, we see our couple come to THE make or break point!!

The epilogue was great…..the build-up for Ryan’s book looks awesome.  But there was one little scene in the epilogue that made my heart beat a bit.  When Aaron realizes all that Cam did for him out of love…sigh………yeah I loved that guy even more.

I totally loved seeing the “old gang” for the Shattered series.  They are still keeping it lively in the bedroom much to their children’s distain…LOL  Sorry not sorry Aaron!!

This is a re-telling of Rumpelstiltskin, but a beautiful story nonetheless. Lena was a witness to a horrific event when she was younger but no one believed her about it. She later has a child but due to her paranoia she lives in constant fear. She has isolated herself and her daughter. One day her nightmares come true and her child is taken through the mirror. She gets help from a fae and she enters their realm. As she is learning about this other realm she finds things out about herself and the two men that are helping her. She uncovers many secrets but with these bring many more questions. She is falling for these two men but she also needs to find her daughter. The twist at the end really makes the story fall into place. The story overall is great but I found myself trying, too hard at times, to remember all the different types of magical beings that were being introduced into the story. I’m a sucker for Fairy Tales and this is another great one!

Say it’s not so!! Like everything else all good things must come to an end and boy does JM Walker know how to end things.  I tell you I have been waiting for Stone the quiet ones always gain my attention.  This book had me from chapter one JM holds no punches in this book.

After celebrating a little too much one night Creena finds herself waking up to in a situation she tried hard to avoid.  That’s right after keeping Stone safely in the friend zone one night changed it all and there was no turning back from it. Creena hold secrets and oh man the secrets she holds is well let’s just say that is one you will have to find out for yourself.  She does what she can to keep her sisters and Stone safe but when her past comes knocking she is forced to open the door.

Vincent Stone what can I say about him he is one Hot alpha and secrets man does he have them. I was floored never even seen is secret coming wasn’t even in the same ball park when that one came flying by. Stone was a loner his life was the military and now all he needs is the support and acceptance of his Vice One Unit.  Well that is until he is given something fun to pursue. He had no clue what it would be like to be with Creena she could never be a one and done type he was addicted and needed more.

I absolutely loved how strong and sassy Creena was. She is exactly what Stone needed to keep him on his toes. These two lead different lives but so much was the same both so broken, so many past scars, and the darkness that resides in them only to realize the other is their light. There was so much in this book from the things that I was blindsided with, to the ups and downs; there was so much switching going on who knew but WOW. I have to put a side note in here I was so excited to see Lucas Crane helping out in this book I so love this man. I have to say it was great to see all the Kings Harlots and Vice One in this book and the ending exceptionally done.  I can only hope that maybe just maybe we will see more of the Kings Harlots and Vice One with all the families growing so fast.

It had been a long time since I’d gotten that drunk. After celebrating a friend’s wedding the night before, it was almost a given that it would happen. But I still couldn’t imagine who I had gone home with. There was no one that I was even remotely close to being interested in. No one other than a guy I had become friends with and kept in the friend zone because it was safe.

So, we have come to the end of the King’s Harlots Series, so sad. This series has had it all, a cool women’s mc, hot alpha military guy, a scary AF human trafficking ring, and lets not forget the suspense of finding out just who is behind said ring. Now, onto Rust!!
All the men from Vice-One are Uber alpha, my favorite so far has been Coby Porter from Rude, but now I want to be the meat in a Coby Porter and Vincent Stone sandwich!!!!!!
Holy moly did Walker have me hot to trot with Stone. He’s relatively new to the Vice-One team, but just like the rest of them he’s military, alpha, and he’s also got secrets.
Creena Chan; member of King’s Harlots, nurse, and a lady with one hell of a secret of her own.
Creena and Stone have always been flirty friends, but have never crossed that line until they wake up in bed together hungover and that my friends is the start of a HOT, steamy, complicated relationship.
Walker wraps up this series in a neat little bow, but we all know that while bows look neat, making them takes lots of twist and turns and things that come out of nowhere. What I mean is I never saw the secrets and the players that came out in this book coming and Walker did a great job of between keeping me on edge with suspense and keeping me on edge with the super hot scenes with Stone and Creena.
Even though the series has ended I would love to catch a glimpse of the gang in the future.

This is the third book in the Black Mountain Pack series and it is all about the Silver Fox Sterling. He loves the pack is now in there is something pulling him to run.  Sterling knows it’s not for his mate because he had one and it is rare to be gifted with a second chance.  He is asked to go see what is going on in a pack in Texas. Sterling quickly realizes he is not just there to help with the issue at hand but to protect Reana his mate.

Reana is stuck where she knows things are right but can do nothing to stop it until Sterling and his crew shows up.  She is all for helping out but not willing to submit to being Sterling’s mate even if her fox disagrees. There is no way Reana can give into the matting with Sterling she is not willing to lose everything by breaking her packs rules.  Reana lost her Alpha and her best friend she is not willing to lose any more.

The connection that Reana and Sterling have was captivating. Watching her struggle to keep her fox at bay and the banter those two had was entertaining. However, Sterling seemed to have the same issue with his fox.  I enjoyed seeing a diverse group of shifters come together to accomplish a goal. I was surprised with what some of them were and what they could do. There are so many great shifters in this series and I want to learn all of their stories. I would love to hear what Steven’s story is he is not the big alpha of the group but his submissiveness is an asset in this story. Plus those quiet ones always have a way to my heart.

So as I was reading this, I was thinking okay, I can get past the dub-con. It’s been awhile since I’ve read a dubious consent type book so I was a little concerned for the heroine. But then that ending. BAM! All was right in the world.

Be warned, there may be triggers but if you keep reading, all is not as it seems. I loved it and I totally fist pumped the air when a certain something came to light.

NOOOOOO!!  The series is over…NOOOOOOOOOOO!!  I remember when JM said to me “Hey I have this crazy idea” and BOOM the Kings Harlots were formed.

I have been looking forward to Stone because he seems so delicious and I just knew he would be a good alpha.  Let’s be honest, all of the Vice-One guys have been uber alpha but Stone…yeah the quiet ones you gotta watch out for.  HELLO Coby!!!  LOL

Creena has been the Harlot that you knew had to be “more than……” she just seems to KNOW stuff so her back story was AMAZING!!  I was totally blown away by what we learn and about how it all plays into the bad guys AKA The Organization.

The book tied up everything for us the reader as to the who and the why’s of the bad guys.  We also get a lot of twists and turns because let’s face it, that is what JM does…TWISTS US ALL UP!!!  We are a bit anxious about secrets that are spilled and how our characters will react.

We also get a lot of naughty, sexy time between our characters and again…THAT IS A JM SPECIALITY!!!  She can write some of the hottest stuff and then your like DANG get me some cold water to drink!!!! *fans self*  There are soooo many scenes that were amazing between Stone and Creena but one scene is particular sticks with me because we can see our couple bantering and talking about serious issues.  The trust and mutual respect they both have for each other knowing what they know about the other….yeah made my heart bust with love for them.

So if you have loved this series, then this book is a fantastic final installment.  The epilogue is so perfect.  I mean it really hits the nail on the head.  We get to see our characters enjoying the lives they have built and the families they have created!!

PS I can totally see JM revisiting this series to maybe write about the kids?????  HRMMMM  Maybe???

Sterling the Fox has been someone yummy I have wanted to read about, so I was excited to sit and devour this book.  I liked the story because our pack is a very well-known pack full of goodness and willingness to help others yet not take any crap from others.  They openly allow other species to live together in harmony.

Reana and her pack are a hot mess.  Her pack Alpha was murdered essentially, and she is stuck in this oppressive world with no hope or prospects.  When these new shifters show up, even though her fox is nipping at her to run and claim her male, Sterling, she won’t.  She is afraid of the consequences for mating or loving another.

I enjoyed the story and the who and why of the evil in Reana’s pack.  Sterling and his friends are bound and determined to help these people because they can TELL everything is not as it seems.  The twists and turns plus the introduction of one of our favorite villains is great!    The story between Sterling and Rea was great too.  Sterling is an older, mature fox so he knows that Rea needs time and patience before she can and will accept his claim in her.  The couple have a lot of issues to deal with to be together because she is not allowed to mate or suffer for going against her Alpha!!!

I soooo want to have a book on Wyatt and if I ant have his then can I please have one on Steven next.  Those two males….heart is so interested in them.  They are both males of extreme worth but so quiet.
