I counted down the minutes to the release of Promises. I started the minute ot appeared on my Kindle. I kept telling myself, this is it, read slow- savor it. Easier said than done, I guess. I finished in a day. While I’m sad Sterling and Araneae’s story has come to an end, at the same time I am happy to have finally got the answers I have been seeking since book 1 in the series.
This book, actually the entire series consumed me. It was very well written and kept me on the edge of my seat till the end.

#Wotr21 #AttendingAuthor #SecondChanceRomance —Whisper Forever by: C.A. Harms

Recommended for Mature Audience

I wanted to forget him so many times. Erase the memories we shared and pretend he didn’t exist. It would have made his absence easier to accept.

Lucas Rivers broke my heart more than once.
In my world he was my guy, the one I’d grow old with and laugh with. But things aren’t that simple, and time changes everything.

That naive girl with dreams of happily-ever-afters was gone.
I didn’t need a man to complete me. I was enough—no, I was more than enough. I was strong and determined. I was Madelyn Emery, and never again would a boy break my heart.

But the moment Lucas returned after four years, acting like we could pick up where we left off, that strength inside me shifted. The more I tried to ignore his efforts, the harder he fought.

How can one simple word whispered by one man mean so very much?

“Forever.”

Review by Twinsie Tenise

Lucas and Madelyn, next door neighbors and best friends since forever- they are inseparable, if you see one of them, the other is sure to be close by. One would think their friendship would last forever but sometimes things don’t go as planned.

Fast forward 4 years after high school graduation. Lucas returns home from college. Lucas thinks he and Madelyn can just return to the way things once were but he is going to have to try pretty hard if he wants her to so much as give him the time of day.

Talk about a page turner! Whisper Forever had me captivated from page 1. I laughed, I found myself tearing up several times and outright crying at one point while yelling at my kindle.

This was a beautifully written story that I never wanted it to end. I have absolutely loved everything I have read by this author. 5 HUGE forever stars but only because they won’t let me rate higher than that.

Review by Twinsie Dee

I bought this book and this my honest opinion

Oh wow wow Mary really took us there. Ok so Ariel and Dash have now offically moved into the big house with their own space but still under the same roof, and all the guys are loving having her there. A lot of steamy thing happen in this book which makes the slow burning totally worth it, Tyson finally gets him some and we find out that sexy uncle Quinton has a piece of jewelry in the perfect spot. Ariel also does a few thing that really pisses her men off but with Quinton on her side she knows that it will all work out in the end or so she hopes so because this one plan of her might never be able to have them forgive her and it just might tear them from her forever. Everything she had gone though Ariel does it for the people she loves and this mission is no exception.

Mary Martel was born in West Michigan and spent the majority of her life there. She currently resides in North Dakota with her husband, and her two beautiful daughters. She’s an avid reader, and when not writing she can be found with her nose stuck in a book.

#Standalone #AllTheFeels #UglyCry —Ryan’s Bed by: Tijan

I crawled into Ryan Jensen’s bed that first night by accident.

I barely knew him. I thought it was his sister’s bed—her room. It took seconds to realize my error, and I should’ve left…
I didn’t. I didn’t jump out. I didn’t get embarrassed.
I relaxed.
And that night, in that moment, it was the only thing I craved.

I asked to stay. He let me, and I slept.

The truth? I never wanted to leave his bed. If I could’ve stayed forever, I would have.
He became my sanctuary.

Because—four hours earlier—my twin sister killed herself.

You want to reread it immediately and have copies on hand in every single format because the book is on your top books of all time list! You feel like the 5 star rating system just isn’t fair, because some books deserve WAY more than 5 stars. Ryan’s Bed is THAT book for me. I can’t even begin to describe how amazing it was. An absolute must read! Thank you, Tijan, for writing such beautiful, memorable story.

#NewAdultRomance #AllTheFeels #UglyCry —A Five Minute Life by: Emma Scott

It’s one of the best books I’ve ever read.–T.M. Frazier, USA Today Bestselling author of King

Remember us…when I can’t.

Thea Hughes has five minutes to live.

A car accident stole her parents and left her with the second-worst documented case of amnesia in the world. She now has only minutes of experiences, of consciousness, of life…before her memory is wiped clean. The once effervescent artist with a promising future is reduced to scribbling with pens and paper, living an empty, quiet life, three hundred seconds at a time.

Jim Whelan is on autopilot.

A foster kid shuffled around the system since birth, he’s lived his entire life without knowing love…and it’s taken its toll—until he learned to fight back, carry his armor, and keep his head down.

Working as an orderly in the Blue Ridge Sanitarium, deep in Virginia countryside, Jim looked up…and found Thea.

When Thea has the chance to break free of her five-minute prison with a risky, experimental surgery, it could lead them both to an epic love they never thought possible… or one that could require the ultimate sacrifice.

I was told by a friend to read this book. I totally trust her recommendations so I went in blind. Nothing I say about this book could ever do it justice. Every once in a while you read a book unlike any other, with a storyline so unique it should be in a class of it’s own. That leaves you feeling like a 5 star rating system just isn’t fair- that the book deserves way more. A Five Minute Life was definitely that book for me.
I just finished and my first thought was – PHENOMENAL! Everyone needs to read this book. It’s a real page turner and will definitely stay with me. By far the best I’ve read this year. A Five Minute Life has ALL the FEELS- make sure you have the tissues handy- you are going to need them.

#PaperbackRelease – Repeat by Kylie Scott

Repeat

From New York Times bestselling author Kylie Scott comes an irresistible new romance.

The last thing he needs is more heartache, but he can’t seem to let her go again. Should they walk away for good, or does their love deserve a repeat performance?

Goodreads

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

Wow! What a book!  I think as Kylie steps away from her Stage Dive series, more people are falling in love with her depth of writing and abilities.  Don’t get me wrong, I loved the series but seeing her write this and the others she has released since shows her amazing skills.  She is hitting different subject matters and knocking it out of the ball part.

This book is amazing in that you wonder how would you be able to deal with SEEING the person who destroyed you yet doesn’t remember?  Could you still hold that grudge?  Could you forgive and move past it with this “new person”?  I don’t know how I would react to be honest!!

This is what Ed is dealing with.  Clem was that person to him.  She was mugged causing amnesia so she forgot everything.  She can’t be left alone and so he comes to help her sister care for her.  He is having a difficult time because he hates her and loves her but is confused by what to do for THIS Clem.  This is not his Clem and yet it is!!!

What I loved was seeing the couple get on and over what happened in the past.  They are able to fall in love again but not really again because it’s a new Clem and a changed Ed.  It loved this 2nd chance love story.

Review by Twinsie Tenise

As I read the other books in this series, I would get snippets of what was going on in the lives of everyone else who lives at Remington Place and I really anticipated getting to find out what was up with Khi and Dre’s story.

They both ended up at Remington Place for their own reasons and one would think maybe it was fate that brought them together again. However Khi doesn’t feel that way. While Dre wants to talk and maybe work through what happened in the past– Khi wants nothing to do with that conversation whatsoever.

Yearn is the 4th and final book in the Remington Place series. This is a forced proximity, enemies-to-lovers, open- your-eyes-and-get-your-head-out-of-the-past, male romance. I loved Khi and Dre and while I’m happy to have finally read their story, I’m really going to miss this series. This is a series of interconnected standalones that do not necessarily have to be read in order but I highly suggest it to get the FULL Remington Place experience.

Cruz and Logan were both dealt a pretty crummy hand in life. And just like everyone else who has stepped through the doors of 69069 Remington Way, they both found Bev and her boarding house, Remington Place, when they needed it the most.

This story was a very emotional read for me. I found myself tearing up more than once. I loved these two very much and just wanted them both to get a happily ever after.

Desire is book 3 of 4 in the Remington Place series. They are all interconnected standalones but I highly recommend starting from the beginning so you can meet the entire crew.  All of the books in the series are fantastic!

#WOTR21 #review – False Security by Evan Grace

It was supposed to be a harmless blind date-but it ended in a one night stand when Shayla up and left in the middle of the night without a wink or a wave.

I didn’t think I’d see her again…until I walked into my office and met our new employee—none other than the curvy brunette who had rocked my world.

The more she fights the attraction between us, the more determined I am to make her mine. Not even the ghosts from her past have the power to stop me from wanting her.

There’s a threat hiding in the shadows, a danger whose only goal is to ruin Shayla. But I’ll go through hell and back to keep her safe from harm, to protect her.

She’s mine…and not even the devil himself will take her from me.

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

Shyla, Eric and Grant….This book was just what a girl needs when she is feeling not so great.

Eric is total player…like with a capital P and you might wanna even pop the P when you pronounce it.  Dog is another wording you might like to use for him…because friends he is.

Shyla is a single mom raising her son Grant.  She is divorced from her abusive ex and looking to start over.  Her world revolves around Grant and his revolves around his mom.  However, mommas got some itches that need to be scratched so when her friends hooks her up on a blind date, she totally hits it and leaves.  This totally floors Eric because he was actually interested in this woman who left.

Eric cannot stop thinking about this woman when he walks into work to see her sitting there as the new employee!!  Uhm yeah do ya see where this is going?  LOL  They are both freaked out over the connection they have but when something from the past comes into play, they have to make some decisions to do this together or be done!!

I loved the story and cant wait for more from this series.

A Midwesterner and self-proclaimed nerd, Evan has been an avid reader most of her life, but five years ago got bit by the writing bug, and it quickly became her addiction, passion and therapy. When the voices in her head give it a rest, she can always be found with her e-reader in her hand. Some of her favorites include, Shayla Black, Jaci Burton, Madeline Sheehan and Jamie Mcguire. Evan finds a lot of her inspiration in music, so if you see her wearing her headphones you know she means business and is in the zone.
During the day Evan works for a large homecare agency and at night she’s superwoman. She’s a wife to Jim and a mom to Ethan and Evan, a cook, a tutor, a friend and a writer. How does she do it? She’ll never tell.

Whoa! That was quite a rollercoaster of a trilogy. I was constantly guessing trying to figure out what would happen next and was constantly surprised by things I didn’t see coming. This is book 3 in Danny aka Bones and Bexley story. The other 2 books MUST be read before this one.

Now there is no denying that Bones and Bex are destined to be together. There has been an undeniable chemistry between them since they were kids. Its been a long time since they were last together but the attraction is still there. Will they act on it or leave the past in the past? Is Bones ready to give up his life of crime for the love of his life? And if so, does Bex still want him?

I know its a lot of questions. Questions I went into this book looking for and I promise, they will be answered!
I freaking loved this series so HARD! It was a remarkable end to an amazing series! I impatiently waited for the conclusion to this series and now I’m sad it’s over. But I’m sure whatever Paige comes up with next will be just as good. She is a brilliant writer and I love all of her words.

Justin had moved to town to live with his grandpa after an ex basically drug him through the dirt. His dream has always been to own a business of his own and much to his luck, the coffee shop in town is up for sale and he’s bound and determined to purchase the business. He has SO MANY plans for it.

Morgan has lived in Briarton for about 6 months. While it is not his hometown, he does consider it his home. He works at the coffee shop and had told himself if it ever was put up for sale, he would buy the place.

Seems like quite the predicament. I mean, they each want the coffee shop but it’s impossible for these 2 strangers to both get their way. Right?

I enjoyed this book very much. I am a very emotionally involved reader. I wanted nothing more than for the story to go in the direction I hoped it would in my head. I refuse to ruin the book for anyone, I hate when people do that, so I will not reveal whether or not I got my way. I will just say, if you love reading MM romance, and love it even more when it’s an age gap romance with a sexy silver fox and a marriage of convenience thrown in, you should grab The Perfect Blend. It had the perfect blend of angst, funny and sexy. I cannot wait to read the 2nd book in the series.

Finally Us (Next Generation Book 5)

-Vince-
She was perfect.
Her heart.
Her soul.
Everything.
I had been in love with Gigi Rodriguez for as long as I could remember. I had never been shy about my feelings toward her. Everyone knew how I felt. Except for the person who mattered most.
I needed her like I needed my next breath. Our souls called out to each other, entwining together to form a bond I had never felt with another person.
She was passionate.
Strong.
Mine.
Just when I thought I had her in my arms for good, an unknown force threatened to take away the only thing I had ever wanted…

-Gigi-
He was stubborn.
Obsessed.
Dominating.
Vincent Stone Junior was the very reason I danced. Every time I moved, I moved for him. He just didn’t know it yet.
It all started the night of his eighteenth birthday, but school got in the way and I didn’t see much of him for the next three years.
When he came home for good, I knew that he had one mission: To crack down the walls I had built.
I didn’t want to love him.
I didn’t want to need him.
But losing a piece of myself made me realize that I did in fact want those things. He taught me to love myself first and that he would be there, ready and waiting…
For me.

Ahhh Vince and Gigi, oh how I have anticipated their book. The wait was long with the authors constant teasing but this story was definitely worth waiting for.
You look up the definition of soul mates in the dictionary and I’m sure there will be a picture of Vince and Gigi there. These 2 were destined to be together. There were SO MANY obstacles in their way. He is younger than her by 4 years, so he felt he needed time to mature. She was constantly in her head so Vince had a tough job ahead of him, working to break down Gigi’s walls. Then, just as he starts making progress- BAM- things manage to get crazier! But Vince is determined and Gigi can only deny her feelings for so long.
Gah! This book had it all. An oh so hot Alpha male who had me fanning myself on more than one occasion. A sweet Heroine. One who I admit, I wanted to shake some sense into several times. I just loved Gigi. And don’t even get me started on the villain. JM writes a good villain and this one takes the cake! Finally Us brought out all of my emotions. I laughed, cried, yelled, and even cussed a few times. A definite binge worthy read. I am LOVING this Next Generation Series. And seriously cannot wait for the next release.

The Perfect Child

A Washington Post and Amazon Charts bestseller.

A page-turning debut of suspense about a young couple desperate to have a child of their own—and the unsettling consequences of getting what they always wanted.

Christopher and Hannah are a happily married surgeon and nurse with picture-perfect lives. All that’s missing is a child. When Janie, an abandoned six-year-old, turns up at their hospital, Christopher forms an instant connection with her, and he convinces Hannah they should take her home as their own.

But Janie is no ordinary child, and her damaged psyche proves to be more than her new parents were expecting. Janie is fiercely devoted to Christopher, but she acts out in increasingly disturbing ways, directing all her rage at Hannah. Unable to bond with Janie, Hannah is drowning under the pressure, and Christopher refuses to see Janie’s true nature.

Hannah knows that Janie is manipulating Christopher and isolating him from her, despite Hannah’s attempts to bring them all together. But as Janie’s behavior threatens to tear Christopher and Hannah apart, the truth behind Janie’s past may be enough to push them all over the edge.

Review by Twinsie Tenise

Whoa! What did I just read?!?!? My mind is still reeling. I thought I had this one figured out from the start- some parts I did- but some were complete shockers!
This is my 2nd book by Lucinda Berry. I’ve been in a bit of a reading funk lately. I haven’t read nearly as much this year as I have in the past. But this book, in all of its twisted craziness, reminded me why I LOVE reading so much. The words and plot were addictive. I found myself wishing I were home to finish my book. I just– no review I write can do this book justice. Aaannd now I feel like I’m rambling. If you love a good suspense novel, check out this book, it will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very last page.
