Leap of the Lion (The Wild Hunt Legacy, #4)

She shifts for the first time on the day of her escape.

After a decade of captivity, Darcy MacCormac escapes the corrupt, clandestine organization called the Scythe, leaving family and friends behind. She must find a way to rescue them. Discovered by other shifters, the brand-new cougar gets two mentors. Blademage Gawain is an easy-going blacksmith with a steel-hard core. His brother Owen is a deadly warrior. Grumpy. Rude. And he doesn’t like her.

They aren’t the mates she’d dreamed of—they’re more.

Powerful, dominating Owen protects the clan—especially the weak—and the only remnant of an abused childhood is his avoidance of females. Now he has to mentor one? Although Gawain soon falls for the dauntless little cat, Owen knows better than to lose his head. But Darcy has a gift for repairing everything…including damaged hearts.

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

Oh Cherise!!  Do I love your books!! I am not sure if I love the Shadowlands or the Hunt series better????

This story is about Darcy who has been kept for years.  She is after her family to save them when she meets her future mates.  Gawain and Owen could not be any more alike than the sun and the moon, oil and water.  These two are brothers but that is about it for likeness.  Whereas Owen is a total douche bag to women, Gawain is not.  Now we know why Owen is the way he is BUT yeah still such a dick.  However, for a big a jerk he is, he would still go out of his way to help another person, so I guess he does have a bit of a good heart 😊   The brother are assigned to help Darcey but soon fall fast and heard for this little shifter.

The story is a great one with twist and turns and us wondering Darcy is going to be able to make the lifelong mate commitment to the brothers that happens when they are bonded.

Authors often say their characters argue with them. Unfortunately, since Cherise Sinclair’s heroes are Doms, she never, ever wins.

A New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, she’s renowned for writing heart-wrenching romances with laugh-out-loud dialogue, devastating Dominants, and absolutely sizzling sex. And did I mention the BDSM? Her awards include a National Leather Award, Romantic Times Reviewer’s Choice nomination, and Best Author of the Year from the Goodreads BDSM group.

Fledglings having flown the nest, Cherise, her beloved husband, and one fussy feline live in the Pacific Northwest where nothing is cozier than a rainy day spent writing.
