#REVIEW – Scream Queens Anthology

In our world, there’s No Escape from the Silence. You can try Breaking Glass, but once you are Suspended in Blood there’s no way out. Hopefully you have an Alibi when you run away from the Silent Screams that fill the night.

Scream Queens is a horror anthology raising money for #PutTheNailInIt, a charity focused on helping domestic violence victims. Now get ready to dive in, and Hush Little Baby, don’t say a word. Stella will read you a horror tale.

**This anthology’s proceeds will benefit #PutTheNailInIt Charity which aids in the awareness of domestic violence.***

Twinsie Jo’s Review:

Well this anthology is definitely not for the faint of heart. While I was one of the contributing authors, I decided to read the rest of the stories and wow. Just wow. I gasped so many times, I lost count. I’m a huge fan of horror movies and I love horror stories just as much but these stories blew me away.

If you love horror stories, this is definitely the anthology for you! I even messaged Emery LeeAnn after finishing her story, Stella, and asked her for more. If you loved the movie, “I Spit On Your Grave”, you’ll like this little book.

These stories are gruesome and have people getting revenge in the most depraved way possible.

Enjoy and happy reading! Oh and don’t forget to turn on the lights.

#WOTR2020 – #Review – Dead Girls: A New Adult Paranormal Romance by Krystle Able and R.L. Weeks

Dead Girls: A New Adult Paranormal Romance

Fans of Beautiful Creatures and Vampire Diaries will love this book.

Sisters, Pierce and Jackson, leave their luxurious lives in Manhattan behind them after their parents’ suicides, and move to a rainy town in Washington with their bitter Grandmother and her old, creepy mansion.
Level-headed and sensible Pierce is changing, and fiery Jackson must take the place of adult whilst their lives are turned upside down.
A serial killer is hunting red-heads, and with Pierce being the last girl in town to fit the profile, she’s on curfew. However, she keeps disappearing with a mystery man into the woods, coming back at night, covered in dirt with no memories and, holding a key to the only door in the mansion that’s off limits.
Things aren’t as the seem in the small town of Ridgeview. The monsters of stories could well be inside the walls of their home as well as outside.
No one is safe, no can be trusted.
Sometimes, the most beautiful smiles hide the darkest secrets…

Goodreads

Amazon

The most beautiful smiles hide the darkest secrets but sometimes the most disgusting scowls hide those same secrets. This entire book is based on secrets. Great secrets. Secrets that will keep you on the edge of your seat trying to figure out what the secret is and who we can trust. An intense and intriguing read. I could not put this book down until the very end. And the ending! It was an unforgettable ending that I was not anticipating. I finished this book with my heart pounding! Yes! It’s that good!

The first secret, right from jump, is the death of the two sister’s parents. They are uprooted from a lavish life in NYC where they want for nothing and moved to Ridgeview, Washington with a grandmother that clearly doesn’t want them. As they are trying to adjust, there are girls coming up missing and Pierce, the oldest sister, fits the profile of the next victim. Jackie, the younger sister, is incredibly worried and not sure how to handle the situation. And on top of it their grandmother doesn’t want either of them. She is a crazy old bat!

You don’t experience the paranormal aspect of the story until you are well into it but you just know it’s there. Once you stumble upon it, many questions arise and loyalties are questioned. This is one of those stories that you just can’t quite figure out and keeps you guessing up until the very end. It’s beautifully written and will keep you on the edge of your seat. Bravo!

Krystle Able.

This signing is near and dear to my heart because it benefits the SPICE program of Marcfirst. We were able to receive speech therapy, developmental therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy, for our son who has level 3 autism through the SPICE program beginning when he was 12 months old. We would be completely lost without the early intervention program and SPICE.

#WOTR19 #FavoriteBooks #TwinsieDee Top 5 Favorite Book from Janurary-June 2019

Goodreads –https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/31182685-forever-ride

Amazon-https://www.amazon.com/Forever-Ride-Hellions-Motorcycle-Club-ebook/dp/B00KU6IYW0/ref=sr_1_13?crid=3A052S9XV1Z3R&keywords=chelsea+camaron&qid=1560727175&s=gateway&sprefix=Chelsea+cama%2Caps%2C179&sr=8-13

Events happen in life that can awaken our truest and deepest desires. They also show us our greatest fears. Sometimes we are forced to face those fears, other times we build walls that can’t be broken to protect ourselves.

A profound connection these two once shared. A strong friendship once formed was shattered. Fate has stepped in and shaken both their worlds.

The danger, the wild, the chaos, and the lifestyle of the Hellions world has become far too much for Savannah ‘Sass’ Perchton. Swearing off bikers and attempting a ‘normal’ life, she has settled. She’s committed to Nick, her country club, pretty boy. She’s found a way to be content.

Things aren’t always what they seem. Wrap an empty box in pretty paper and a bow, it may look amazing, but it’s still a hollow shell.

He’s a Hellions playboy. A different chick in his bed, off on a different ride, and always something new. He’s Frank the ‘Tank’ Oleander, Haywood’s Hellions Road Chief. Throttle down and life is good.

The fast pace of the Hellions life catches up to him. At a crossroads, he’s forced to face some life changing thoughts or succumb to the darkness of death. Teetering on the brink of giving in, her voice is all he’s holding onto. The coma he can’t pull himself out of, but her voice is the light in the darkness. He wants the girl who pulled him through when his life was literally in the balance.

She’s sworn off bikers. Can he pull through? Can she ever see past the lifestyle to the heart of the man behind the cut? Will they find their Forever Ride?

My Review –

Life as the Hellions motorcycle clubs VPs daughter leaves Savannah “Sass” hasn’t always been easy she has always struggles with  herself about wanting to feel safe and being away from the life that comes with the club and turning her back on family. Tank on the other hand is a playboy that doesn’t care what happens he’s ride or died for his club at no cost. When Sass and her best friend Doll are sent on a ride for their safety Tank ends up getting hurt and ends up in a coma. Once returned Sass visits him everyday and her new rebound of a douche boyfriend makes her choose her life with him or her family the only thing she ever knows. Making the hardest decision of her life Sass leaves the only thing she’s ever know behind and the wonder if Tank will ever wake up. Will the love Tank has for Sass be enough to pull him out of his coma, and get back to her? Will Sass find happiness outside of the only thing she’s ever know? Is forever long enough or nothing that will happen. I’m so in love with this series Chelsea just knows how to pull you in and make you fell like you are apart of this club and are family with them.

My Review-

This story is an amazing short, showing Monica a newly single divorced mom of 2 kids will do or what happens when she’s alone for the first time for a week without her kids and meets the hot sexy younger next door neighbor. Discovering just who she is and letting her inner sexiness out for a week and it might just be more then a one night or one week stand.

Obligation…Marriage

Betrayal…Freedom

Until him. Until her.

Second chances…

Until them.

Deceit…Doubt.

The past may have won the battles, but can Love win the War?

My Review-

This story follows Reese and Andie 2 of the very best friends ever, with magic band aids, and who puts Reece’s pieces and Andie mints on their ice cream because that’s what friends do. Wait I’m getting ahead of myself yes those  girls are part of this story but they bring the cute factor. Aubrey is a newly single divorced mom of Reece after 12 years of marriage Aubrey has found herself not knowing who she really is anymore. All she’s known is being a housewife and mom so her best friend Niki makes her dress up find her sex appeal again and takes her to the club. There she’s dancing and having the time of her life when this extremely sexy man comes to her on the dance floor. Is he the knight and shining armor she’s been missing? Well this is were all the roads beginning and all the twist turns and secrets start but how much will be let out and how many hearts will be broken? With children involved how much far will Aubrey go to sacrifice her own happiness?

Rebel Lynch has spent two hundred years searching for balance between his human side and his inner wolf. As a den President of The Feral Breed Motorcycle Club, a lack of control over the beast within isn’t just a pain in the tail, it’s a death sentence. One served by his club brothers: the judges, jury, and executioners of the wolf-shifting community.

At Amnesia Gentlemen’s Club, customers and staff check their real-world identities at the door. Charlotte, one of the club’s best waitresses, ditched her legit career in corporate IT because she needs the kind of income those pesky IRS folks can’t track. When the smart-mouthed bombshell pulls a gig serving a private party, she expects nothing more than a few extra tips. That is until dirty-talking Rebel Lynch strolls into the room looking like sin incarnate, flashing motorcycle club colors, and blasting Charlotte’s expectations about work, life, and love straight to hell.

One glance at Charlotte and Rebel knows she’s his fated mate. But a wolf shifter is attacking women at the club, threatening Charlotte’s life, and putting the entire shifter community at risk of exposure. Rebel and his Feral Breed MC brothers must find the crazed shifter before he strikes again. If Rebel can’t uncover the new monster in their midst–and learn to rein in the protective instincts of a fully mated alpha–his future with Charlotte will be dead on arrival.

My Review-

When you find yourself with a cruse of being able to turn into a wolf you need to have a few things in your life 1) being able to find your mate and 2) Having a brotherhood people that understand and help shape you into who you are. That how life was for Rebel only thing was he had his brotherhood but after 200 years  living he still hasn’t  found his mate and started to believe that he was going to be alone with his brothers. Until he walked into the local strip club to help try and figure out what was going on within the town and within the shifters. That’s when his heart started racing and he about let out his inner wolf as he laid eyes on Cherry the cute waitress at the club. How was he going to protect her if she was involved he didn’t know. All he knew was that he needed to do whatever he could to keep her safe if someone laid a hand on her he was going to make sure they paid. I love this book and I need more..just don’t question it just go buy it.
