The goddess harvest is off to London to find her daughter after she went off with her husband. Demeter can’t function when Persephone is gone with Hades for a long period of time so she’s off to go get her to come home once she has found out that she is no longer in the underworld. Once in London Demeter went to Ares club and that’s were she saw him Freddy and she caught his eye. Freddy was Ares high priest, and the bar manager for his mortal world appearance. The two couldn’t hide their feelings for each other but there were a few things that stood in their way. 1 Freddy has a dark secret that he isnt sure how Demeter is going to take it when she finds out, and 2 Zeus isnt going to let Demeter up without a fight because he thinks he owns her and isnt going to let anyone have her while he’s the king of gods. This is an amazing story your going to fall in love with these characters and their quick witt and charm 🙂 and all their bantering back and forth is the best

I purchased this book.

What an amazing and fun book being dropped by Teresa.  No one knew this baby was coming and LORD was it a great holiday treat.

First up, as always, I looooove seeing all the mates and their Warriors dealing with crap but seeing as Christmas was the main drama and Sloan’s lack of Ho Ho Ho-ing made it even better.

We got to see some further world building like with the introduction of a new Warrior and possible enemy of Bishop…hrmmmmm.  We get to see Daniel and all his extra perceptions happening.  We see Raven and Tessa bonding while also backing each other up with Jared.  What I really loved was seeing Katrina and Blaze.  She is such a quiet character so seeing more of her was pretty special. Steve and Mira are working on some things but Adam and steves bond….yeah it was something special to read.

This book will be a definite read to anyone who loves the series.  So any great scenes and so many intense scenes in such a short book.

I purchased this book.

I met this author at a book convention this summer. She was a friend of a few friends so of course I had to buy the book when it releases. She was super sweet and friendly to boot, so my inner blogger was all about helping this chick out.

I read the blurb and thought “Oh this sounds like a sweet romance” and what I got was like WHAT!!!! I mean the twists and turns and darkness SHOCKED ME…….and I loved it. Guess that is what I get for making an assumption right???

The blurb is about a couple exchanging letters and the title “When You Were Mine” makes you think of a 2nd chance love story WHICH is true buuuut the rest is totally not what you expect. I will admit because I went in thinking one way, I was a bit thrown off at the beginning. Asher getting a Dear John letter….what?? I was a little confused and thought it was choppy but once the story got going and I realized it was ME who was wrong, the beginning makes total sense.

Harper has been through some stuff. She is broken both mind and body. She is walled off and walked away from Asher because she doesn’t feel worthy anymore. She has her dad’s shop and her drag race strip so nothing matters any more. She will live a content life with her bestie, Nona, and maybe find love but not passion with her other bestie, Ran.

Asher is not going to let Harper go. He has no idea everything she has been through or to the extent of what she has been through, but he remembers the hopes and dreams they had. He is bound and determined to get his women back.

Along the way we see Harper pushing Asher away, making some not so great choices and then dealing with her past that seems to haunt her daily. We see Asher reaffirming his love and devotion to his women along with doing all he can to protect her.

I think the book was written great and I look forward to reading more. I kinda hope she revisits these characters because Nona and Ran need an HEA!

Dude! A Silver Fox!!??? YES PLEASE!!! A Book Nerd!!?? HELL YES!!
I have to say I was hooked on Jason from his first scene in the book. Hottie older man flirting and hitting on a woman at the bar. His opening line to Ava had me in stitches!!!
Ava is stood up on a date but flirting and going home with Jason was a lot more then she expected when she woke up the following morning. When she runs into him again……OMG I was dead!! I mean Hell!! That was a perfect way for these two characters to re-connect!!
Jason has been burned by love but is still hopeful that he will find an HEA of his own. Even with his busy lob and caring for him ailing mom, he still believes there is someone out there for him. He is a dreamy sigh kinda guy ladies!!
Ava is a sweet girl who wants love but has walled her heart off for fear of being hurt. He opening to Jason is a huge deal.
When the two reconnect and begin to date, we see them both struggle to keep their emotion in check. He is afraid too much too soon will fun her off and she is afraid of too much too soon will lose him. They are such a great story. The epilogue is a favorite of mine and I would so love to read more from these two because the ending scene could be fun stuff to read them navigating together!

GAH!!! Wyatt has totally been someone I was lookin’ forward to reading since we were introduced to him. I mean HELLO DRAGON SHIFTER!!! Yes please!!!
The one thing I want anyone to know about this book is the FEELINGS you will get while reading. Wyatt is so afraid to HOPE for a mate. He is beyond numb to the Goddess giving him a mate since he is the LAST Pure Blood Dragon shifter in the world. He has just thrown himself into helping his friends and packs. He is over wanting and wishing and just realized he will be alone until his dragon loses his mind, at which point, he will be “put down”. You can FEEL his loneliness in the story.
When the Goddess grants Wyatt his mate you can actually feel his anger and frustration at this gift of a mate. He is so scared because any mate of his will be a target. You can feel his fear and watch him push away this precious gift!!
Natalie, friends, she is AWESOME!! I mean she is sweet but strong. She is kind but fierce. She will NOT be just a wallflower anymore to her friends. She is starting to realize after being told she is fated to mate a dragon; she needs to be strong and confident. A dragon needs a strong mate not a weak woman.
Again, friends….the anxiety of these two was so heavy!! GAH the push and pull and the almost kisses were driving me CRAZY!! I was like JUST FREAKING KISS AND CLAIM HER WYATT!!!!!!
I can’t say enough about the story because it was probably my favorite story so far in the series and that is saying a lot because I am pretty sure Mack, my baby daddy, is not going to like hearing this news!!!
Seriously, if you enjoy angst, heart, more angst and just all out amazing chemistry, THIS IS A GREAT story for you. Its also a great introduction to the amazing world Miranda has built with the Black Mountain Pack.
Side note: If Stephen doesn’t get a book next, I will cry. His character was so much fun to read!!!

*Clapping* I was so excited when I saw this book was going to be about Hades and Persephone.  I mean anyone who loves Mythology knows their crazy love story.  Being kidnapped with the help of her father, Zeus, to be with Hades and then then finding love though it all.  The two have managed to make their love work through all the ages.

Zeus got his feelings all butt hurt lately and finally was denied by his family so he does the one thing to hurt his daughter, his love Demeter, and his own brother….he annulled their marriage and sends Hades back to dear ol’ dad Cronus.  YIKES!!  Not a good place to be!!

This book was awesome.  I loved seeing the family of Gods and Demi-Gods circling their wagons and looking to rescue Hades plus also looking to stiff Zeus.  Dude he is really going crazy.  Just because you and your siblings overthrew your parents doesn’t mean your family on Earth is trying to do it to you!!  Get over yourself already!!

Seeing the love Persephone and Hades have but also seeing the other couples developing more love and respect was amazing.  I think Freddy, Juliet, and Mack stole the book. These Demi-Gods stepped up and did everything for their new family and loved ones.

I cannot wait for the next installment of the series. I am looking forward to seeing how the family reacts to dear ol’ Zeus wanting to join in the ranks after all the shenanigans he has pulled over the last few months…hell centuries!!

Oh these boys!! I am so in love with this series!! I mean each brother I fall for but I think broken Hawk is going to win my heart I the end.

Caz is such a great character. He is so full of love, but he will not fall in love. He will love and care for those in his family IE Gabe, Audrey, Lillian, etc but he will not let his heart fall in love again. The loss of his fiancée is too much for him to endure again.

JJ has had it with men. They are all liars and nasty POS. When she finally leaves her job to try the wilds of Alaska with a shove from a good friend, she soon learns this town is everything she wants but love will not be something she will even consider…until she sees a tall dark drink of water who is also the town whore annnnnd her bosses brother!! Life is suddenly complicated for the two. The chemistry is amazing but when Caz get a phone call that changes his life for the better, they really slow down to regroup. Caz needs to focus on his daughter and slowly sees he needs to focus on JJ as well. This woman has become just as important as his newfound daughter.

I love how the couple fight the push and pull. I love how Caz humors JJ into thinking its just a friends with benefits knowing at some point she will realize he is not leaving her any time soon. I loved the complex nature of the relationship the three of them have. JJ and Regan are both so unsure of where they fit in Caz life which in turn causes some drama for him to untangle.
This has been one of my favorite books this year!! I can’t wait for more!!

Great retelling of one of my fave villains, Ursula! Right from the beginning I was hooked. Arsuilla, AKA Su, is our BA female of the story. She escaped a life that was hurting her and has stayed hidden for quite a while. She has found real “friends” and has found a purpose helping people escape toxic pasts just like hers. 

“Unfortunately, going back is more than just handing myself over to them again. It’s sacrificing my freedom to Trenton. I will not be the victim nor the villain of my story any longer. I choose my fate.”

Things are going great and then all of a sudden the 6 brothers (all are related by adoption only) found her. She attempts to run and at first and about makes it. This is where things get a little wishy washy for me. Su is this BA female character but basically gives up and goes with the brothers to face her father, Trenton, with whom she ran away from in the first place. 

“No matter the hands they’re dealt, the cards don’t always have to be played the same way.”

Ok, I am invested in this story at this point and continue because I just have to figure out what is going on and why Su even ran in the first place. Like I said, I was hooked! 

This is a reverse harem and you know from the story that she loves the brothers but after she throws a crazy temper tantrum for three days she ends up in bed with them. When it came to the brothers it was a little confusing following them as all their names started with an A. Their relationships felt a little rushed for me since there weren’t any answers or explanation on why they brought her back in the first place. With that being said, the story is a great story, and the ending answers our questions and ties it up very nicely. I hate to say this but I wish there was a bit more plot and a little less sexy time so the characters could develop a little more. Like I said, I really liked the spin on Ursula and am looking forward to reading others in this group!

Omg where should i even begin this book was amazing. Lexi is struggling to keep her life together and keep her late mom’s deli above water and with her brother being sketchy as hell she has to over work her elf just to make it. One night Lexi hers a knock on her door and its her brother Charlie beaten to a pulp and once she got him pulled into the apartment a huge figured followed behind threatening his life. Luther was a powerful business man who didn’t like to be played with, he wasn’t afraid to kill someone who crossed him or went back on their word. With wanting to fix her brothers debt to Luther Lexi was pretty much going to sell her body to fix his dumb mistake. Well at this point I don’t want to give away to much but you definitely are going to want to read this book the twist and turns are amazing and your are going to fall in love with these characters.

Nobody puts Baby in a corner.” While you’re more likely to see Jade headbanging instead of Dirty Dancing, she—like Baby—won’t be put in a corner…or a box. So even though you can’t really stick her books in one genre, you could say she mostly writes steamy Contemporary Romance—and, while you’re at it, you’ll notice in her stories that Jade freaking loves Colorado, hard music, coffee, bad words, and CHOCOLATE!!! And so do her characters.

Oh, and there’s always a glimmer of hope…because if life doesn’t have that, what’s the damn point?

Put your head between your legs and kiss your booty buh-bye, you’re never gonna believe what’s goin’ on now.

It all started with a surprise visit from a mouse… Well, not really a mouse… Billy’s a Greater Bilby… But that’s just a fancy Australian name for goofy gray rodent with big, pointy ears and a nasty disposition. I mean, I guess…to be politically correct I should… Oh, hell, when have I ever given a rat’s behind about bein’ politically correct?

No time for BS. I’m gonna Joe Friday this bitch. You know, just the facts, ma’am and all that happy horseshit.

Here’s what I have so far:

· Plea for help from Billy the Bilby

· Missing Sloth, who also happens to be my Mate, not to mention a Deputy with a badge and gun which would be so helpful right now

· A tingle in the palm of my wand hand and a wiggle in Wanda’s shiny little tip ~ sure signs somethin’ wicked this way’s acomin’

And… Wait for it … This is the BIG one. Big, like we’re all headed to Hell in a handcart at a high rate of speed with no brakes, no passing Go, no $200, and no clue what to do ~ H-U-G-E.

· Every single one of the Dragonettes is conked out. Completely and totally unresponsive . Like colorful, little Sleeping Beautys snorin’ all over the place. Yeah, you’re so right. I said, “Oh, shit,” more than once, too. Trouble is, we’ve got no colorful little Prince Charmings to pucker up and lay one on ’em. Life without my fiery sidekick is just plain boring. Oh, and, scary as all get out.

Talk about trouble with a capital T and that rhymes with ME, and that stands for the crazy-ass Witch who better get her butt in gear.

This is a fun YA, twisted fairytale, reverse harem story. The world as we know it is slowly forgetting about fairytales and we find out that they are fading away. Serina is in a world where using her imagination is forbidden. Her grandfather passes away and leaves her a storybook. Not just a storybook but THE storybook. She finds out that after his passing she has been deemed the next keeper of the Storybook Realm. When she is whisked away to the Storybook Realm she finds herself at the academy. Since all the stories are fading away she has to rewrite them. But in the Storybook Realm she has to rewrite them by getting the fairytales to play out. Unfortunately she has all the princes falling for her. She ends up in the middle of a story and has to find a way to rewrite the character she replaced into another story. Serina is just a teenage girl and has been given a huge job of keeping the fairytales alive and well. Part of the problem is she is loving being at the Academy instead of at home. At the Academy she is treated like she mattered and would be missed if she ever disappeared. She’s having an issue with “not mixing business with pleasure”, haha! Reader beware, this ends with a cliffhanger but by the end of the book I was more aware of the bad guys but trying to figure out who we can trust. I look forward to continuing this series and seeing if the Storybook Realm can be saved.
